I hate to say this, but this dungeon makes me seriously want Haru should have been sold off. It's the worst dungeon in Persona and one of the worst dungeons in JRPGs I've played yet. Anyways best dungeon (casino) is yet to come, so I should look forward to this instead of complaining!

Is Okumura's dungeon really that bad? I don't remember it being too awful. A bit bland, maybe, compared to some of the previous ones.
Though after playing Shin Megami Tensei Strange Journey Redux, every other game's dungeons, no matter how godawful, seem as though they were designed by a genius, so... my view could be skewed on that front.

The final part of this dungeon (shown in the video I posted) is awful. This puzzle is annoying and the slow warp animations just distracted me.

Ah, that part.
I see your point.

Also, I've noticed from the screenshots you posted that Persona 5 Royal has a German localization, which surprises me, since regular Persona 5 was completely in English.
Does it have German voice acting, too?

Yes, it's localized which surprised me too since no other regular Persona game I have played yet, had this. Idk if remakes like P4Golden had it. And thank goodness the voiceacting was kept in English. The only JRPG with localized audio has been FE10 for me yet.

At least the PSVita version of Persona 4 Golden was in English, as well. I don't know if the Steam release added a German localization (but I doubt it), so Persona 5 Royal may very well be the first Persona game - heck, the first ATLUS game (that I know of) - that has a German localization.
And I'm in the same boat as you: the only JRPG with German voice acting I've played is Radiant Dawn.

People here might be resistant towards videogame frustration, I am not though unfortunately, simply because I don't have the freetime as some other people here to play many and / or long videogames. I will put the game aside for now unless someone gives me a tip what to do against the boss. I'm lacking on ressources apparently which is weird since I've felt being overleveled for playing on easy.

I just noticed this boss fight has been chaged to its worse in Royal by disabling all-out-attacks. Well, this explains it why I'm having so much trouble! I couldn't remember having any issues with the minions in the main game. I don't know why this was changed, so dumb, so bad, so frustrating... aww!

Need to do something else right now...

I apologize for spamming my first world problems... I'm leaving already!

I think frustration gets to everyone, so don't feel to bad about it! Especially when trying over and over against the same fight/boss no less.

I think some people are more tolerant to it, sure, but it still eventually starts to wear on most people. Just don't be to harsh on yourself, okay? I can say this from experience, at least.

I take this understanding!

Still my reaction is childish as foolish. I'm behaving like a little child by spamming this forum with my whining and complaining. I have to learn myself it's just a videogame. I have a very ambitious as fragile ego. If something goes wrong - independent if it's in real life or in a videogame - I start to get pissed too easily and I let out my anger on uninvolved people. It makes me feel bad for not being able to control myself in my advanced age. I'm sure other people can also become frustrated by a videogame, but they would handle it better than way better I did...

You couldn't use all out attacks in original P5 either, since Okumura counts as an enemy in the background. Though I know they changed something in this fight to make it more frustrating, because I know this is the most complained about fight in Royal, I haven't played Royal, so I don't know what they changed.

As for the final puzzle, I uh, never found it hard, but I understand if you do. *pats*

And don't worry, we all have frustration. Just take some time to relax and cool down if you really need it.

It's fine to express your feelings, even if its frustration. Dont feel bad for just letting out your feelings!

Sorry if this doesnt really help, I just thought to mention it's okay to feel that way.

Finished the first arc of RF4S. Like the Delirium Lava Ruins, the actual path to the bosses and the enemies involved were more difficult than the bosses themselves. Still a good challenge either way. Now to get a whole bunch of stuff done while I wait for the second arc to trigger.

FEW has clones though, while HW does not. And it has alot of them TBH.

Also characters have more than one weapon in HW, changing their movesets making things more intersting. FEW did away with all of that, for some reason.

Counterpoint: HW has giant monster battles. FEW does not. And from what I've seen, the giant monster battles break up the flow of Musou combat and not in a good way.

I agree with lightcosmo here: it's fine to feel that way. Sometimes it's better to vent than it is to keep it all bottled up.
What I do in these kinds of situations is I take a break from the game and then go back to it with a new mindset. Oftentimes, that is the point where you realize new strategies to employ, especially when it's a boss you're stuck on.

---

As for myself, I made a tiny bit of progress in RF4S. I can go to the water ruins now, but I think I want to do other stuff first, especially since I still don't really have a lot of money.
Also, fishing is kinda jank, ngl. But maybe it's just because I'm not used to it yet. And I could unlock so much stuff, but I don't have the money or Prince Points to do it yet.

Also, also... trying to ask other people to join my party for exploration is going poorly.
Xiao Pai wants nothing to do with me, in other words.

Then again, I'm just getting started on the second week, so... I'm in no rush, really.

Giant monster battles in musou-likes can work, there are games that prove that they do.

Spoiler

*cough*

And this fact makes me hate them even more in HW, because it is as you say: they break up the flow of the combat... but not in a good way.
So... I would agree with you that the monster battles "ruin" HW much more than the clones "ruin" FEW.

On the other hand, Samurai Warriors 4 and Dynasty Warriors 8 Extreme Legends as well as Warriors All-Stars all have larger rosters than FEW with zero clones in them.
So... FEW kinda has no excuse on that front. At least to me, it doesn't.

Fishing in RF4 works under Zelda rules in that you can see the shadows of the fishes, allowing you to aim the fishing rod to them. But unlike Zelda, you can't wiggle around the rod in order to attract fish so aim is much more important.

The problem with HW's giant monster battles is that they follow Zelda rules: hit weak point -> follow up with the required item(s). Or use require item(s) -> attack. And while I respect the faithfulness, it doesn't translate well into Musou combat, I think.

Yeah, I don't really get the logic behind FEW having so many clones. Seems to be a problem exclusive to it though correct me if I'm wrong.

@lightcosmo @Caster @DragonFlames

Thanks for your kind words!

They were motivation for me.......... and they were successful!

I could beat the boss after all!

I just had to create a Persona with Mapsio for Joker to deal barely enough group damage.

Still I need a break now.

Congratulations! 👍
I'm glad my words were of help to you!

I hear that Dynasty Warriors had plenty of clones, too, until they decided to give each character a unique moveset in DW8XL (no idea about regular DW8, since I never played that one), so the "mainline" games aren't exactly innocent, as it were.
I noticed this in Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate (which is the DW/SW crossover game), where the DW cast uses their DW7 movesets (I think), and there are plenty of clones there.
