Pls no.

Why not? Marianne could use Dorte, for example. And maybe he could have a skill that makes him immortal, because Dorte.

Also it's a matter of funds as well. I don't need another thing to spend money on when Fire Emblem's economy is usually kinda....inflated already.

Well, if the next one trims the amount from TH, it wouldn't be much of a problem.

While i didn't mind buyable horses in Berwick, it's not really the solution. Berwick also had many indoor maps where you had to dismount, or terrain needing climbing, don't forget that.

You know, now I kinda wish Rune Factory had a SRPG spin-off...

I feel like Rune Factory is too light in tone for that lmao.

But I wouldn't mind it conceptually.

Fire Emblem in general purposely restricts your funds.

And Berwick is the game where you had to pay a subscription fee for each and every character that wasn't your starting crew.

Forced dismount is cringe too.

The last four maps in TRS (including endgame) are all indoors and that definitely contributed to my dislike of the game's final route split.

Edit: And the terrain was also an issue in some maps as well. TRS horses are allergic to 1 mm puddle of water.

I completed chapter 12. Best chapter so far. ❤️

It’s semi late so I don’t know if I’ll do 13 tonight, but no monastery segment is making me think I will if I have the time. Chapter 12 did spike the difficulty up a tad, which is concerning. I really hope I won’t have to redo it, because while I did love it took forever. Also I found this amusing. ZjbNMEe.jpg
So here you go.

Did the last three chapters have lots of 'em? As of 12-1, I've seen...One indoor map, if memory serves.

Some of them do, (FE8 did, parts of FE10 did, etc.) some of them don't, (FE6, FE9, FE11, etc.) making horses an investment and a risk is a good risk/reward system.

The game is balanced around that, and you really don't have a shortage of money as long as you don't misuse your funds.

You have a Godzilla icon, so I had to claim Kong to restore balance to the universe. Otherwise their fight won't be fair!

But speaking of which, I had a GvK thought about "that guy" that I forgot to mention in my last prediction post.

Spoiler

The opening of Godzilla 2014 featured the skeleton of another member of Godzilla's species alternatively known as Dagon or Raijin. I was wondering if this version of Mechagodzilla was constructed from this skeleton or another specimen as a throwback to Kiryu. Michael Dougherty (who wrote the plot and directed KotM) is a known Godzilla fan and Adam Wingard watched every Godzilla movie before directing GvK, so it wouldn't be too implausible as a reference, and it would give an in-story reason as to why Mechagodzilla is a copy of Godzilla. It would also make sense if Mechagodzilla is built to frame Godzilla for attacking cities, though I think the genuine Godzilla will get up to destruction too.

I also think Kong's spine-axe will be made during his trip to Hollow Earth rather than being made from one of Godzilla's spines, so a trove of bones there would provide another source of Mechagodzilla parts.

I think it would be neat if they do that Kiryu throwback too. Plus, it'd provide even more reason why Godzilla is pissed. I figured MechaGodzilla's existence was the reason for Godzilla's rampage but it'd adf an extra layer of rage if that MechaGodzilla was built around Godzilla bones, so from Godzilla's point of view, it's basically blasphemy.

As for Kong's battle axe, I'm in agreement. Hollow Earth is definitely gonna be his quest to get that, at least that's what I've gathered from the trailers.

Did Benice just compliment fe9??

Well yes but actually no.

I don't particularly care about funds in most FE games, so long as I am able to equip myself in some fashion; I don't think I've ever really paid attention to them, really.

Perhaps not. I certainly had the funds to buy about... I wanna say 14 boots?

But yeah, this game gives you a lot; you have 10k at the end of chapter 1, you pick up a further 3k in chapter 3, then...A lot (I wanna say 8k, but I can't actually remember) from chapter 6, a lot in both liquid and solid funds from 7, a ton of stuff from 8, etc.

Wait, they did!? Goodness, no wonder they were so absurdly powerful... Why was that even a thing?

Leadership Stars.

Much dumber implementation of the concept here then in FE4 and 5. Leadership Stars affect every ally, no matter how far away from the Leader they are. And only the Leadership Stars of the Leader are taken into account.
In other words: It's never actually a strategic element of any kind because you are never given a choice on who the leader is and whether or not to deploy them. So their Leadership Stars are always in play.

It's not much better on the enemy side, since bosses with Leadership are virtually non-existent in the first place. And needless to say, Radiant Dawn's map design doesn't suit itself for early boss sniping to have an advantage for the rest of the map. Assuming it's not just "Defeat Boss" or "Seize" in the first place. So it's essentially just a blank bonus there too.

Playable characters with Leadership Stars who have 1 or more maps where they are the leader include...
Elincia: 3 Stars
Lucia: 2 Stars
Geoffrey: 3 Stars
Ike: 3 Stars
Tibarn: 4 Stars

Each Leadership Star is worth +5% Hit/Avoid

All right turn 10 of chapter 9 (423 overall), and Hannibal has handed over Kapathogia. I saved one turn by manipulating Hannibal's movements a slight bit to get him closer to Cairpre, also made sure Leif got his battle talk with Travant as well...expect the next update soon as well, assuming everything goes according to plan...

Whelp turn 11 of chapter 9 (424 overall) and Grutia is seized...I think I will wait for something to happen before updating the units...

Edit: well that was disappointing, I was hoping the Grannvale enemies would stick around at least... RIP Tornado tome then...

I like RD's solution by just giving a flat mov debuff to mounted units indoors. Leaves them vulnerable to anti mount weapons 😛

But they give out like, 2 horsekillers throughout the game! Xd

That went...uh oddly. I managed to maneuver around Arion after drawing in his forces thanks to the leg ring being on Seliph, and using Julia's ability to be captured when she should be killed (I was hoping Nostanking would handle it, but not for Arion...) to lure him where I needed him, I am ending chapter 9 on turn 18 (431 overall) as I have no idea how I would deal with Arion in a timely fashion otherwise. I am missing out on a lot of money from Tahra (was saving it for Patty, but she only reached one full money village before the end), but Arion is just too scary with the Gungnir, Adept, Nihil, and 5 leadership. If my army were more concentrated I could find a way, but that would take time (and they needed to be spread out to deal with the advancing wyverns anyway...)

Alright, it’s chapter 13 time. How will it go? Will I win the day and carry on the run? Will I have to go back to the previous chapter and rearrange some things to win? Will I be completely soft locked and have to play Crimson Flower instead? Will it be so bad that it ruins the game forever and I turn to KagaSaga? Will I have to sacrifice someone for the greater good? Place your bets below!

If you’re right, you get, uh... a complimentary teehee!
