Sooks
@Shrimperor Spoiler How much did Weissman hypnotize/mind control everyone to do in the first game? Dalmore brought up the fact that he was mind controlled or whatever, which is a good point, but he’s still being charged? Same applies to everyone else, and I don’t recall the game ever specifying exactly how much Weissman did. Wait, Dalmore sells sepith?? That’s cool! It’s so late in the game I have no use for it, but cool! …and expensive.

The Vortex before Ys 6 made it so anyone who go caught wasn't able to leave. Until the Ark was destroyed The only known remains of ''America'', or as it's called in game, Atlas continent, are the Canaan islands from Ys 6 Spoiler Looking where the vortex is, seems to still be quite a while from Not Newfoundland. Maybe there's no land since it's still further west. Heck, for all we know, the Canaan islands are Not Azores islands. Shrimpica
has been a while since i played 6 and Celceta Spoiler unless there's something west of the Atlas continent that we might get 20 games down the line, it's probably pretty safe to assume Canaan are the only remains. After all, Eldeel, Reah and Feena are few of the Eldeen who survived and lead humans to Erasia
Acacia Sgt
It's worth pointing out... Spoiler Even some Atlantis myths of our world have islands like Azores and Canarias to be the remnants of Atlantis. Those are much closer to Europe than North America. The Vortex is too close to Ispani/Afroca... Or the waters have receded already. Just because it flooded long ago doesn't mean it has to remain flooded. Specially with any other landmass seems to have been unaffected by the whole thing. Edited July 15, 2021 by Acacia Sgt

Gauging distances, the Vortex would be in the square right to the left of the one housing Ispani/Afroca. Spoiler And two squares right of what would be the Not American East Coast. I do admit, me getting so hung up on this detail might be a little overblown, but for some reason, that tiny smidge just really took me out of an otherwise very tense scenario, and that got me a little heated, heh. I take it then you might have a problem with humanity surviving this.: -Some humans, we don't know how many but enough to sustain civilization, do survive. Does that sound realistically impossible? Although, it isn't like humanity gets off easy. The planet is covered in ash, cities reduced to ruin, and the sun is entirely blocked out by dust clouds from the devastation. The meteors in this case being a total act of nature. (An act of nature that coincidentally allowed a microorganism that died in direct sunlight to flourish. That being microbe being a virus that you show no symptoms of having, until the flowers and vines start bursting out from under your flesh, then you're dead. Oh, and humanity continued to war amongst each other, because this is Advance Wars: Days of Ruin/Dark Conflict.) 2 hours ago, Shrimperor said: current Ys map and where each game took place Huh, nothing in Anatolia/Asia Minor/Near East/Middle East/Mesopotamia/Southwest Asia yet. Hmm... late classical world... how about... Ys *Insert Number Here*: The Apadana of Ctesifon? Phoenician, Babylonian, Sumerian, Akkadian, Hittite, Assyrian and Hebrew flavors are all possible, but I think we could just about squeeze in a classical Persian setting. -Although Ys VIII uses the Khmer Empire as inspiration and that's all the way in Southeast Asia -albeit also on a mysterious island. 2 hours ago, Shrimperor said: Iirc Adol kickstarted an age of adventuring or something like that. He also wrote 100 Books about his travels... of which we got eight (not counting Book 5)! IRL, in terms of sheer distance, Ibn Battuta (1304-1369) traveled a self-reported 117000km in 30 years, making him the most traveled premodern explorer. Adol is probably not at this point yet. 1 hour ago, Armagon said: Xiaomu fanart? In 2021? Based. And the artist, accurately, heavily suggests she is not wearing underwear. Shrimpica
I wonder when Falcom will give us Eldeen games again Then again, with what Ys 7 and (especially) 8 did Eldeen are pretty much small fry really xD 3 minutes ago, Interdimensional Observer said: Huh, nothing in Anatolia/Asia Minor/Near East/Middle East/Mesopotamia/Southwest Asia yet. yeah no game on the ''orient'' yet Well, Ys 5 takes place in Not!Egypt, but not in the ''asian'' part of it
Acacia Sgt
Maybe that's why it hasn't been remade. It doesn't take place in Not Europe. Which confirms VI takes place in Not Azores, since that's still Not Europe.
