Not exactly easy either, if still so big and slow enough that I can see a true expert coming out unharmed with some ease. The mid-boss was actually harder. I felt the chapter itself started off as kinda formulaic for the sake of it, though the stuff at the end did up the stakes. I ponder with my characters in the 30s levelwise and most -probably soon to be all- of Balduq proper outside of the prison accessible, how much longer the story is going to go on though. VIII dragged on a little too long, but now I'm a tad concerned now IX will be a tad short for what it needs. Except for Mosou attacks, which just flatout won't connect at all. I wonder if that is where Koei got the idea for the Weapon Triangle from. But also, this is probably why, at least compared to the Warriors games I know, your allies can actually defeat enemy officers who are part of an objective without you being around. Of course most of the time you don't have a home base anyway, so the concept of your allies slowing down enemy officers is kinda meaningless. I imagine I would not like Pirate Warriors 3 all that much if it still had all the annoying weapon and inventory management of other Mosou games. But as is, I can just start a level and throw punches around. And that's just a lot more fun if I don't already have to dread needing to clear out the inventory in 15-20 minutes, or whatever other busy work the games require. Ironic considering one of the biggest outside critiques from western gamers for Assassin's Creed is that they take too long to get to the action. I play these games to see how they portray the history and I've notice that AC III seems to expect you the player to already know all about the Revolutionary war, which is understandable since most of the market is going to be Americans but even still it has you fill in a lot of the gaps for what's happening. It especially feels weird since within game you've barely had any interactions with George Washington and already expects you to know about him and how important he is, compare that to Assassin's Creed II where you wouldn't have to even know who Leonardo Da Vince was to appreciate his character in game. Sorry for the rant, I know few people here play these games but I needed to get that off my chest.
