Alright, turns out several Euroovision juries are getting investigated for voting irregularities and already had their scoring replaced.

Wonder if it'll go further, though I can bet any momentum that generates to die down quickly.

Nah, i know who i am and what i want, and that's all that matters to me. People in political positions can screw around with eachother all they want for all i care: which i don't.

It's not just about you it's about everyone. In the United States specifically for many of those outside the majority, politics is not a choice, it's a necessity to vote and keep their rights as American citizens. For many white people, Trump being president may not have seemed to have changed much but for immigrants it was life changing as families were split apart and thousands lost their homes.

Politics isn't just about a bunch of old men arguing over bills, it's about how our lives will be changed, and how the lives of other people not part of the majority will change. It's politics that decide how much you'll be paid at work, how badly your boss is allowed to treat you, how bad the school system can be, how many shootings will occur, how many suicides will be committed, and so on.

Apathy is never the place you want to be.

I just completed an entire wildermyth campaign without any deaths or injuries (other than a sort of injury that was required by a side story, but because it was required it doesn’t provide any debuffs afaik). I am great.

Congrats. Sounds like you are beginning to master that game.

Which is surprising, considering it was my first time touching it in at least a month or two. Hut thank you.

Although that was on the default difficulty, and I’m starting to wonder if that one is getting a little too easy, since I was rarely in any dicey situation…

It's not a view, it's the situation, and in this situation you have two choices.

You could speak out and make it known what you think the problems are with this country and how to fix them.

Or you could do nothing.

As harsh as it could sound, any apathy and inaction from us is part of the problem.

Just see what happened in Georgia in the US during the last elections for an example of how things can change if people do get their act together.

Option 3- Doubt you'll be able to fix anything on your own or even via collective action -possibly potentially fearing the results of speaking up in the wrong country- and keep your thoughts in the closet or only harmlessly among trust friends, family, and community. I'm sure it's a common pick worldwide, particularly in countries where democracy doesn't truly exist. Those with enormous hope in the possibility of change and or anger against injustice that outweigh other considerations, are the bold yet foolish who push for reform. I haven't the courage to join those living saints.

Haven't actually progressed in Exceed yet but i did want to pose this

I do like how Neige has like an unspoken hobby with rocking out. Like she has that guitar play animation she does in her Special but i like that it's not just a one-and-done thing.

You can even interact with the guitars themselves.

Again, your opinion, not mine. Your just trying to tell me what to think, which isnt any better than what they do.

Then let me hear your opinions, mate, give me your reasons why you think it's best to avoid all politics.

So is the "don't say gay" bill, but that hasn't stopped the Republicans from passing it anyway. And with a Supreme Court willing to take away what were basic humans rights, they might just get away with it.

Don't let that defeatism defeat you. Making things look so grim that good people do nothing is part of their strategy to take away people's rights. Rome wasn't built in a day, and the world wont be fixed that way either, just do what you can to right the injustices you can.

A lot of the people on this forum are still underaged, with even less power in this process than the rest of us. If they are just children, recognizing their lack of power, let them be.

If not, then a bit of a lecture may be in order.

Those in politics can dictate how to live, and who is allowed to be who they are with the threat of violence, and imprisonment (usually both, as police have killed a lot of people who at worst should have been jailed). Perhaps this isn't as dire wherever you live, but a lot of places (like the United States, and United Kingdom) are taking away people's basic right to be who they are. If you ignore those threats from those in politics, you may be trapped in the old "Give me Liberty, or give me Death!" decision. If willingly becoming a martyr for your freedoms is what you meant from this, I would respect that, but otherwise... I would say you ignore it at your peril, but many as apathetic as you are at little peril, as it will be the minorities that take the brunt of that injustice first. Although wait long enough...well, Martin Niemoller put it to poetry rather well

First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist

Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist

Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist

Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew

Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me

Sure you can sit in your ivory tower now, and let people (including some on this forum) be denied the right to be who they are, but if you will not stand up for the rights of others, who will stand up for the rights of you?

Not even worth my time, i'd rather not argue about something i know won't change. And i really don't feel like getting upset over something pointless either.

You can choose to voice your opinion, go right ahead, i have no issue with that!

I however do not want that evil corrupting me, all it is is masked arguing, deception, and cruelty, and i dislike the very core of it. So, no, i won't argue politics, i'm sorry.

So this clip has caused some admittedly justified concern

Noah's (and presumably the Keeves classes) Arts are on a timed cooldown. Hit-based cooldown is better so some are seeing that giving the Keeves classes timed cooldowns would make them less fun to play than their Agnus counterparts (which have been shown to be on hit-based cooldown) which.....yeah probably.

But at least for me, the issue wouldn't be the timed cooldowns, the issue would be if i can't do anything about it, during it, or after it. The issue with Xenoblade 1's combat was that when the Arts were on cooldown, you did basically nothing until they were done and when they finally activated them, you simply used them and that was it. Now let's compare to Xenoblade X, which also has timed cooldowns. In Xenoblade X, you can:

  • Switch weapons whenever, keeping a steady stream of damage going. Depending on the weapons, you might be able to just keep it going without the auto-attacks "cooling down".
  • When Arts are active, you can let them go through their Secondary Cooldowns for better effects. Combining this with a Soul Voice is also good.
  • Soul Voices in general are good and make you think more about your Arts than simply just using them.

And this is without Overdrive, which opens up Tertiary Cooldowns and just generally makes the combat go at lightspeed.

Now with the information we have with Xenoblade 3 at the moment we can

  • Make/buy food items, which presumably some would contain Art recharge buffs (it'd be weird if it didn't tbh)
  • Art cancelling, which automatically makes the combat better than Xenoblade 1
  • Since auto-attacks work with Xenoblade 2 rules, as in you can't auto-attack while moving, this actually does benefit the Keeves classes in some way as they can "guerilla strike" enemies while they wait, keeping a steady stream of damage going without accumulating too much aggro.
    • Keeves Tanks with their aggro draw fields can quick dash around allies, maximizing their aggro intake. Keeves Healers can quick dash to fallen allies to revive them
      • Agnus classes could do this too except they actually have to land hits to recharge their Arts so there's some balance in classes there.
  • While we haven't seen it in action, you can swap during battle at any time. The concern there is that you'd swap to a character who has used all their Arts and have to wait but that seems like such an obvious design flaw that i'm confident that Monolith Soft won't let that happen.

And this is just the stuff we know. We still don't know how Fusion Arts work and there's a clip where Eunie's Arts just light up without recharging, a trait i've only seen with Interlink Arts (seems the Ouroboros don't actually have proper cooldowns on their Arts). We don't know the exact details of class changing yet. And with the entire party acting at the same time, along with character switching, i think the potential issue of "x isn't fun to play as compared to y" won't matter too much in the long run when everyone gets to contribute.

Tl;dr, i get the concerns some people have but i personally ain't worrying about it too much+there's still a lot we don't know. I still remember pre-release Xenoblade 2 when a lot of people thought that hit-based cooldowns were the worst thing.

The Dragon’s Forge was just too damn good. (That and the trailers actually looked interesting, especially with the sheer variety of character classes and traits.)

As an aside, I’m pretty sure this will be my first time playing both a roguelike/roguelite and my first time playing a metroidvania, so this’ll be interesting.
