He was more concerned with not upsetting fans than telling a good story, so he filled the final chapters with cheap fanservice. The entire story was retroactively destroyed with that ending. That’s interesting though, I wanna look into what he changed and why he thought that wouldn’t upset fans, and what it could have/should have been.
