Waiting 10 months on a cliffhanger ain't that long.🤨

There's A LOT of 18+ games on Steam. I was surprised with that too.

I have seen random cheap smut browsing for games a few times, but I had assumed Steam had strict rules that banned hardcore XXX, at least regarding anything anime. That you would have to go to itch.io or something if you wanted to see some shanking, and would be stuck with a clothed/pictures of fruit/it-happened-offscreen version on Steam.

I find them a tad eclectic in their Arts lineup. Not bad, another physical-oriented character who can dish out the damage, but also take the aggro if desired; they carry a pinch of ether too. Seven seems to have a less clearly defined Arts set than Reyn or Dunban as a physical character, but still just as capable. Their damage potential might even be the highest of the three.

Enjoy that (just be glad it isnt the OG XC where she starts with no AP at all)

Not a problem if you go the entire game without spending any AP. That was the case with me in my original XC1 run, it didn't matter that you could always grind more AP.😅

And I still made a point in DE to avoid visiting a bunch of locations, perhaps a Landmark or two, and most Secret Areas until Seven joined, juuuuust to get them a little extra SP and AP. As they still hurt for skills learned when they join. And I did the same to a lesser extent for Melly and Riki.

I conserved some AP in DE if not as much, and the only skill I recall going all-in on was Monado Armour, because 70% non-Talent Art damage reduction for almost long enough to refill Talent Gauge and apply again is cray-cray.

Spoiler

I decided during my first run of XC1 to strip Fiora of her armor right before she left during the Colony 9 crisis, not realizing at the time that XC1 has soooooo much equipment that you could fill the Eryth Sea and still have excess clothing.

This was a mistake. As Fiora now went to her heroic death in her underwear, undermining the seriousness of the cutscenes somewhat. Then you skip ahead to... I forget when, Galahad Fortress? When Fiora is speaking to either herself or Meyneth possessing her, and you get a quick glimpse of her back from before she got captured. And the image, focused on her body minus the top of the head IIRC, shows her in the clothing she wore when she got taken, which meant undies for me.

Didn't repeat the above in DE, I knew better.

Really? Ahahahahaha!

Oh man, if I ever get the game, I have to do that too.

Okay, advanced a little more on the questline.

You know, doing the Dark Brotherhood quests at the very moment I'm doing them has an amusing irony in that I'm going to

Spoiler

kill the Emperor

right after having joined the Imperial Legion. Welp, Hail Sithis!

Even with a bit of messing around with different arts setups I've found so far that having Seven in the party is more enjoyable as AI while I'm controlling Dunban (Riki supporting as always).

May change as more arts unlock, or maybe I'm just too comfortable/used to maining Dunban.

Either way, probs gonna run Dunban/Riki/Seven for a bit and see if I like it more than Dunban/Riki/Melia (my party for the longest time so far).

Ch. 14 already, huh.

A few more sessions and I'll be done with the game already.

Oh shit all the Odios are in the room.

Also the Lord of Dark resists Holy. Huh.

Well, worse than that using the attack that's said to be what felled him proceeds to get Retribution, which can deal 400 damage on Hasshe. Hasshe!

That or you get super lucky and he only hits you twice in the multihit move.

All this to say the Lord of Dark fight is cool.

And then Hasshe spits out blood. Well that's a bad sign.

.....And he's dead, having kinda gone back on his misantropy.

Side note, the purple lights that guide you in the right direction? Nice touch.

Spoiler

Fs in chat for Hasshe. The one man who might've perhaps been able to prevent the tragedy, had he lived.

Do I cause fear in Royal Guards by attacking them? As in regular attacks can cause Fear in them and they run around as such?

Okay, that's nice attention to detail.

Spoiler

Eyup. I loved it when I noticed it too. Medieval is full of cute details.

JRPGs are a niche genre now, Ruben.

I mean, maybe. But not Xenoblade 3 in particular lol. It got a Direct all to itself, critics are giving it tens all over the place - the very least it's getting are eights, it's flying off the shelves and the Youtube algorythm has picked up on its popularity so much that it keeps sending me videos of its OST despite my flagrant lack of interest. If Xenoblade 3 qualifies as "underdog", then the dog was the secret second satellite of the Earth all along.

Besides, going back to Elden Ring for a moment... You really think that one is that much more mainstream? Its fame (and Dark Souls's fame) as a "super ultra hyper difficult game" and the really dark aesthetics and setting keep a lot of people away from it. Frankly, I'd say they're about equal. Maybe Elden Ring is a bit more popular, but they're both around the same. Not quite on the level of a real mainstream game like Fortnite, but absolutely not niche, either of them.

If I had to hazard a guess, they're both probably going to be nominated for GOTY and fight over the award. And it doesn't matter which one wins at that point - only the most popular of games even get that far, so it'd simply be false to call either an "underdog". It's why I put little stock in official GOTY awards. Much like the Oscars, the only things that will make it up there are things that everyone already knows, and everyone already knows are good. They will tell you nothing new.

If I'm wrong, feel free to call me bad and ugly. This is simply what I believe are the fact, but I could of course be incorrect.

Quote

And there's a vocal minority of people that hates Xenoblade 2, critics included, and considers it weeb trash. Some critics are even liking 3 because it apparently doesn't have "sexualization".

I mean... Yeah? Dude, you know that if anything, I agree. You know that I fail to see how it's so horrendously unreasonable to prefer games when they have less sexualization. Why are you bringing this up? Everyone here knows that I'm a raging prude that wants to remove all the boobas from videogames. Must we really go through the same song and dance again?

Quote

You have to play both, as they're good.

Can I blackmail you with my potential Awakening playthrough to get you to say "I hate all these weeb dumpster fire piles of shit, I would only like them if they removed all of this obnoxious, pointless sexualization"?

Say that and I play Awakening.

Dew it Ohsix. Dew it.

And she's great.

I mean, she certainly is the most harmless of the royals.

She's also a bore for this reason. The rest are fun to laugh at. Even Elise, I love watching her die, it's a great time. Sakura just exists. That's not what I look for in Fates.

I can't believe this is on Steam. I mistakenly thought graphic sex + anime = verboten on the largest PC gaming online storefront. The first CB visual novel isn't though, perhaps because some of its characters trigger the "look too young + lewd + anime = NOPE!" equation, whereas practically everyone here is a bit older and hunkier.

This surprises you? lol you don't live under a rock, you live under Mount Everest!

...Sorry if that sounded overly harsh, but seriously. This has been happening for years. Steam is FULL of porn games.

Being a Berserk fan is the real suffering. They waited on a boat for 10 years - a fucking decade! And then the creator straight up passed away and left it incomplete.

Over the years, I had actually joked with my very Berserk fan friend that Miura moved so slowly he might die before finishing the manga.

Unfortunate thing to say, as it turned out. The man died far too young...

Elden Ring literally sold 12 million in a single month. 11 million of that came from the West.

I love Xenoblade but knowing how baity the Game Awards are, it will not even compare.

We'll have to see how Xenoblade has done by the end of the month. I don't know, maybe it's just because I move in more JRPG-loving circles, but I'm seeing almost as much of a fuzz being made over this as Elden Ring. Again, it got a whole Direct for itself! That wouldn't happen if this wasn't an outrageously awaited game. You didn't see Live a Live stealing any Directs!

I love the things Live a Live lets you do.

Spoiler

First it lets you play as the incarnation of hatred and destroy mankind, which is amazing and my favorite part of the game.

Then in the regular finale, it lets you turn tail and run from the climatic final confrontation. Even rewards (or punishes, depending on you look at it) you with a secret boss fight if you try that!

Well, that's it. Middle ending. Will do the good ending after lunch, and impressions tonight probably.

Spoiler

The remade final boss themes are so good. But then, all of the remade OST is great. Battle was actually decently tough, too! I remember it being "use hurricane to delete" in the original, but Sundown misses a lot with that in the remake. Had to sacrifice Akira to buy some time.

The Colony Iota collectpedia goods... does it matter much who i give em to?

I don't think it does.

I actually don't even know how it works beyond just what I gave to Colony 4 as part of the quest.

Only two routes compared to the first CB's five is a little lacking, and adding more from free updates sounds sounds unlikely. Shame, a Hyunjin route would possibly interest me, screwing a sweet virgin nerd would be the definition of self-insertion.

Were I to go off the deep end and buy this eroge, I thought I would have to wait until I got a job. Because getting others to buy for you a game from a website called "BLits Games" sounds kinda sketchy, even if they would have absolutely no idea what BL means. Purchasing from the Steam website you buy everything else and which you tell them is reputable, they probably wouldn't realize what they just got you.

Yeah, this ain't the steam of my teenagehood.

This has been going on for a while now, with horny games getting clearance to be on the platform.

Everyone else has said it, but I felt I had to respond to some of the topics I missed in the last 12 hours rather than just talking about DIEUDIE
