I almost finished DragonFlowering Niles, and now I gotta go back and finish Odin some more~ sigh lol. Oh well, he deserves it but still sad considering how slow the flowers come out.

The CYL units... all look amazing! Yay Wada for Claude. Edelgard’s boobs are big, as expected by cuboon. Dimitri’s waist is a snack, and lack is kind of a hit or miss artist for me. Lysithea looks super cute though a bit predictable. They all are predictable and I’m a bit sad they’re all using their same exact weapon types. This is the third Edelgard with an axe!! Oh well. I want all of them. I will for sure spark once, but idk if more than that... maybe lol.

The new mode confused me, but I never usually “get” the modes until I play them personally haha.

UGH JEORGE. I like him, but I’m upset that bots are at cause. I’m scared for next year...

Hmmm... is that all? Gerome and Rolf can’t wait for their new Traits!!

I guess changing Aversa to +HP might be seen as optimal, but as I no longer take competitive modes seriously, it's probably not such a big deal. Marthed Mask would be another candidate I suppose, but I'm also unconvinced as even at +10, she's not really a powerhouse anymore these days, especially if we're getting the next round of BST inflation now. I suppose that leaves Kronya as the default pick, with +Atk presumably being a no-brainer.

All my other +10s are 3-4* common units where I have free reign over their boons anyway, so I'll have to look further down for further candidates:

- Legendary Ephraim +4, currently +Spd
- Legendary Julia +2, currently +Spd
- Legendary Celica +1, currently +HP
- Elincia +1, currently +HP
- Duo Ephraim +1, currently Neutral

Third-line candidates might include Mininerva, Bowlyn, Gerik, Lif, Michalis, Camus, BK, and a bunch of unmerged units I can't be bothered sorting through right now.

As a wildcard, setting Valentine's Titania to +Spd and +10ing her is seriously tempting now.

It definitely looks like Edelgard got Hautclere, Claude got Parthia, and Dimitri got Gradivus. I really hope these are actually Fodlan variants, because I'd hate for Claude to get cucked by IS because they gave him Jeorge's weapon.

Looks like Dimitri got a damage reduction skill, though whether this is in his weapon or a new or current variant of a Parry skill (Close Call, Repel, Spurn) is yet to be known.

I'm super hyped about the Trait changer, though not as much as others. I've been fairly lucky on my units' IVs, the only ones I'd really need to worry about are the traitless units (GHB, TT, Forma, that kind of stuff). I'm just happy that Forma units just became so much more desirable in the span of a single video. I'm also happy that Al, Sharena, and Anna will finally be able to change their IVs...even if they'll end up having banes as well since they don't have access to merges.

As long as I can use trait fruit on my GHB units I am happy.
Extra Dragonflowers is neat too.

They made a point of showing that Fonso could use it so it seems relatively safe to assume all non-gacha units can. It'd be hella weird to let the Askr trio but not TT/GHB units and I feel like would both require more work on the development team's part and cause a backlash that could've been easily avoided.

Hey, thanks. At least he got some decent stuff compared to some of the other freebie units we have been getting lately.

The CYL art looks excellent. I really like all of them.

Jorge as the Grand Hero Battle is eh. I don't care that much either way.

Multiple sparks is also cool, though that's a lot of summons to get them. Less than my usual budget for a Legendary banner, but more than a normal banner. I'll probably just some budget from some other banner (or one of my other games).

More Dragonflowers is eh. Sure, okay. But it would be nice if they'd also increase the rate that we get them even if just a little to compensate. It's not like we can actually Dragonflower all that many units right now.

Changing Assets and Flaws is nice. Free units get a new lease on life. I can finally break my no +Atk vanilla Ike curse. Legion becomes even more busted. Though I have a feeling this is partly to get players to actually care about Forma Souls.

The new game mode seems eh. It looks like another no-engagement mode.

Barracks expansion when?

So, grail units with superassets:

Spoiler

Adrift Azura: +Res; 29 Res.

spring Bartre: +Atk and +Res; 44 Atk and 29 Res.

Canas: +HP; 40 HP.

Clarisse: +HP and +Def; 41 HP and 29 Def.

Clive: +Spd; 29 Spd.

Cormag: +Res; 27 Res.

New Year's M!Corrin: +HP; 41 HP.

Death Knight: +Spd; 29 Spd.

Halloween Dorcas: +Atk and +Spd; 45 Atk and 29 Spd.

Eremiya: +Res; 31 Res.

Flame Emperor: +HP, +Spd, and +Res; 54 HP, 29 Spd, and 30 Res.

Gangrel: +Def and +Res; 28 Def and 31 Res. Remember, his Levin Dagger deals damage equal to 20% of his Res if his foe has a penalty. +Atk and +Spd would be better for overall combat, but if you want him to be a resistance tank, then maybe +Res and leveraging true damage might be a good idea.

Gerome: +Spd; 29 Spd.

Haar: +Spd; 29 Spd.

winter Jaffar: +Res; 31 Res.

Julius: +Spd; 31 Spd.

Kempf: +Def and +Res; 31 Def and 30 Res.

summer Lorenz: +Def; 29 Def.

masked Marth: +Def; 29 Def.

Michalis: +Spd; 30 Spd.

Naesala: +Def; 28 Def.

Narcian: +Res; 30 Res.

Navarre: +Res; 28 Res.

Panne: +Res; 27 Res.

Soiree Rinea: +Def; 27 Def.

Rutger: +Spd and +Res; 43 Spd and 28 Res. Rutger already has the highest base speed of the grail units so far, so +Spd granting him 43 Spd is just a bit extra sweeter for him.

Halloween Rolf: +Res; 27 Res.

Saias: +HP; 40 HP.

Sigrun: +HP; 41 HP.

Silque: +Atk and +Spd; 32 Atk and 26 Spd.

Greil's Devoted Titania: +HP; 39 HP.

fallen Takumi: +Def and +Res; 29 Def and 28 Res.

Travant: +Spd and +Def; 30 Spd and 44 Def.

Ursula: +HP; 39 HP.

Xander: +Spd; 28 Spd.

summer Ylgr: +Res; 29 Res.

Zephiel: +HP and +Res; 59 HP and 28 Res. Still today, Zephiel is the only sword armor available as either a 3* to 4* summon or a grail unit with good resistance. Now he can take that a bit further even if 28 Res isn't the greatest.

Superassets are what they are; they increase a stat by +4 instead of +3. Pick them when they benefit a unit in a way you want; don't pick them because they're a bigger number. The interesting thing for me is that some grail units might still want to stay neutral. In particular, Aversa and Iago whose most useful stats, HP, Atk, and Spd for Aversa and HP, Atk, and Res for Iago, are their highest level 1 stats, so those stats do increase by 5 with merges, but whether or not for instance, 2 less HP for 1 more Atk and Spd or 1 more Atk and Res is worth it is up to the player. Iago in particular can make use of his HP and Res for his tome and Ploy skills.

But yeah I kind of wanted them to color swap as its kind of boring to only get one color of the same hero all the time. The girls kind of really got the short end when it comes to variety sake too as they don't change movement types

But guy guys we got to talk about the true shaft here: this was the perfect chance for us to get Gatekeeper as the ghb and IS ruined it!

They just went with all their final class looks for the CYL designs? Lame. They probably expected them to be the winners and thought that would be the easy thing to do since they had only been going with pre-time-skip designs for the normal ones (and post for legendary).

I am very disappointed by the dragonflower increase. It is already way too hard to get sufficient amounts of flowers to affect the amount of units I'd like to. Most of the time I'd just use them twice or so to get up the stats that mattered then stop there since 600 is way too much to sacrifice to proficiently build as many as I'd like. Now to get that second increase to the stat that matters, I'll need to sacrifice a whopping 600 for every character? Ugh... It would be better if they made it so you can just select which stat you want to have increase whenever you use flowers, that way you wouldn't be forced to waste so many on stats  you do not care about. They need to do that and make flower faaaaaaaaaaar more abundantly available if I'm to have any hope using them efficiently.

Being able to change a character's asset is a good thing, at least. Now even GHB units Forma units can have their assets changed to something useful. Forma units not being usable for merges almost feels redundant now.

Oh me. Oh my. Traits can be changed?

...well I now feel very dumb accidentally +10ing just... so many units trying to get that one good asset/flaw... but on the other hand, YEEEEEEEEE-

As long as a person remains dedicated to resource gathering, Traits no longer matter when summoning. Get the base unit, and you're golden. Get a merge, you're even more golden. Have access to a website or a forum with at least one person named @XRay, and you now have an ugly yellow border around your gold. The only thing that saddens me now is that now every unit will be the same 2 or 3 builds and statspreads.

...oh yeah, uhhhhh Lysithea looks pretty. The others... certainly exist. Uhhhhh new game mode, looks neat I guess?

As if they weren't already? Even if you got a "non-functional" Asset, a unit's base stat spread and skill availability still pushes them towards just a few roles. Changing a unit's Asset usually doesn't significantly change a unit's role.

Trait changing is definitely my favorite part of the video!

More guaranteed summons is also nice, and I will be getting everyone.

My only complaint is that my Barracks is having difficulty holding all my units. I wish they would increase it to two or three thousand, or preferably more.

Perhaps, but there's still a few units from the early FEH days that aren't quite sure what they want to be doing yet, and even a few units these days who are a little diverse in their spread. Ross immediately comes to mind, I've not been able to see even one single consistent build on that kid.
At least some of that can be chalked up to "I couldn't summon the best Asset, so I settled for second/third best", but now there is no such thing as "best asset" because, again if you are a dedicated resource gatherer, best asset now just means "default asset/flaw".

...also non-functional asset means you're doing the same thing as everyone else, but noticeably worse.

My problem is that we don't know how many Trait Fruits will be distributed per mode. If they're like Divine Codes for the normal paths or Heroic Grails, then it will take a long time to get enough to change just one unit's traits where personally, I would reserve the damn fruits for only grail units because eventually and even with 5*-only units, a unit will be summoned with the asset you want. If, and this is a very doubtful if, they're like Divine Dew, Refining Stones, Feathers, or handed out like candy or they're about to rot within three days, then fuck it. Everyone gets a trait change.

I hope it is handed out like candy. I think the game would benefit more from having more frequent rewards to draw players in and keep players in the game. With how slow Sacred Coins and Grails are, it makes the game more daunting than it needs to be for new players and makes mistakes unnecessarily more punishing.

Having multiple viable roles just means that the unit has multiple viable roles. It doesn't change the fact that based on the role the unit takes, it'll still have the same general build structure as any other unit with that same role. An enemy-phase Ross, for example, will still look pretty similar to an enemy-phase Echidna or Mustafa.

Even if you don't get the "best" Asset, that usually doesn't change which roles a unit is viable for. It might change whether you want to use the unit for one role over a different role, but it doesn't change the fact that the unit was viable for those roles to begin with.

There is always such a thing as "best" Asset, whether that's one more multiple. Whether or not that's a "default" makes no difference.

Which still supports my point. Not being able to have the "correct" Asset doesn't increase build diversity, it just means you build the same way and get less performance because you're stats are a bit off. Assets and Flaws are a much smaller component to build diversity than skills.

I'm waiting on Bracing Stance, Close Def, Distant Def, Dull Close, Firesweep Axe/Bow, Keen Gronnwolf, Kestral Stance, Shield Pulse, Swift Blow, Steady Blow, Swift Sparrow, Swift Stance, Trilemma, Warding Stance, Windsweep, and other maybe not great, but still useful or interesting to play around with skills to be available on 3* to 4* units in the regular summoning pool and, excluding weapons, their third tier inheritable when the unit is a 4*, but with shit like Fire Boost 3 on lance-wielding pirate Geese, I don't exactly have high hopes for the Trait Fruits to be distributed decently. I'm not even asking for things like Atk/Spd Solo, Bold Fighter, Flash, any of the Lulls, Panic/Pulse Smoke, Ruptured Sky, or Wrath.

Anyway, not sure if this was talked about, but someone was able to screen-cap CYL Claude's stats and skills. I figured a frame or two would have shown someone else's stats.

Spoiler

CYL Claude has Wind Parthia, Moonbow, and Fury 4 you can make out. His B and C passives not sure with someone guessing his B passive is a Chill of some sort. Stat-wise, he has 42 HP, 54 Atk, 44 Spd, 31 Def, and 29 Res. Without knowing if Wind Parthia has a stat boost, we can only subtract 14 from his Atk as Wind Parthia is probably a non-Brave bow and 4 from his Atk/Spd/Def/Res from Fury 4 which gives him 42 HP, 36 Atk, 40 Spd, 27 Def, and 25 Res for 170 BST which is 9 stat points higher than the only gen 4 ranged physical flier: New Year's Eir.

Wind Parthia probably has a stat boost somewhere since 170 BST is around the level of Jorge's BST assuming Daniel-Made Bow does not have a stat boost and, although New Year's Eir is the only one, gen 4 ranged physical flier are a generation behind in BST compared to ranged physical infantry which matches how Chad (161) and Kronya (162), the only gen 3 ranged physical infantry, had higher BST than summer Lyn, spring Palla, and Petra (155). My guess is that Wind Parthia might have Spd+3 which would give CYL Claude a stat spread of 42 HP, 36 Atk, 37 Spd, 27 Def, and 25 Res for 167 BST. Compared to regular Claude who is a gen 3 ranged physical cavalry unit with 150 BST and has a stat spread of 39 HP, 33 Atk, 37 Spd, 20 Def, and 21 Res, this guess for CYL Claude would have +3 HP, +3 Atk, +7 Def, and +4 Res compared to his regular self.

Yes, but I have multiple personal examples of summoning 11 of a 5* unit, a few extra even, and not getting the Asset I wanted. We're still playing a glorified Fire Emblem-themed slot machine in a casino remember. Nothing is truly guaranteed, and unrelated but I would recommend against thinking you can summon a +Atk Spring Palla or Santa Ephraim if you value your wallet.

@Ice Dragon I'll be honest, I don't know what the hell I'm supposed to be arguing. I had like 5 different things typed up, but I'm not sure what for. How units will now have the same build and traits? I dunno what to say, I guess imagine the battles you would have against whales, but now at any arena score/AR level because the players with no merges don't have to worry about having to use a +Def -Res Lysithea, they can run +Atk -Def like the big boys, but at the end of the day people who run at least 750 arena score/AR level 21+ won't notice any difference in the end anyway. I guess personal example, I had to use +Def -Spd on my Witchy Nowi, and someone told me to try using a build that can take hits from DC swords better. If I could change her traits, I would have been able to use a speedier build, but that just flat-out wasn't possible.

Jorge is the GHB?! Can't believe he got meme'd/votebotted in 😄!

Dragonflower changes are big, and the CYL art is great! Hope Frontline Phalanx is a far more engaging mode.

I understand that, but for me because grail units do not have the luxury of having assets or even flaws by default, I feel like they would be a higher priority for me than 5*-only units who have a chance of showing up with an asset/flaw you want on them. The other thing is that you can spend grails on them where while it's expensive and time-consuming to get them all, you are guaranteed to be able to get copies of them unlike with a 5*-only unit or any summonable unit really which makes spending 100 Trait Fruits or IV mangos, IVcados, or whatever feel more worthwhile to get as much out of them.

So, grail units >= 5*-only units > 4* demote seasonal units >= 3* to 4* summonable units in the regular summoning pool is how I feel like I should prioritize using the fruits. Grail units and 5*-only units can swap depending on if I really like the 5* unit or something stupid happens and I ended up getting a lot of copies of the 5*-only unit. Although considering I have yet to spend grails except for completing one of the tasks for Heroes' Paths, it's probably more like 5*-only units > 3* to 4* summonable units >= 4* demote seasonal units since I have yet to summon any and they're seasonal to boot and grail units exist in their lonely, space-wasting corner. I am betting a lot on Marisa's eventually being in a weapon update for me to finally make her and a grail unit a merge project, but Brunnya and Kronnya are probably better ideas with how Astra season sucks.
