December 2020 New Heroes Speculation

It's the start of a new book, and we don't have a BHB on the calendar for predicting this one. So wildly guess away!

 

 

As with November, I've added crossovers as a choice. Though honestly, I think that would work better as Special Heroes because they would likely need to renogotiate for any reruns, and it makes little sense to have non-FE characters in the permanent pool.

I'm almost wondering if the December New Heroes banner will be for a Xenologue for between Book 4 and 5, instead of the actual start of 5. Either way, I feel like it'll be a Sacred Stones banner. Gaiden/Echoes is my second guess.

Expecting FE8 which I'd be plenty happy with, but my real hope is for FE4. Or FE5 or FE10, but those don't seem particularly realistic at this point.

The SS votes make me happy. It is my 2nd most desirable banner set after Tellius.

I don't think this will be the start of Book 5, most likely it'll be another Xenologue. 

I'm fine with any game as long as the banner doesn't have a dancer. Did no one else have an annoying question mark for the longest time because they never saw a Lalum?

I'm guessing Shadows of Valentia. If they plan on introducing the Book 5 OC on the banner itself again I would rather have them slip one into a Valentia banner instead of Sacred Stones since Valentia has most of their cast already in the game. I could see the banner being Luthier, Tatiana, Zeke and the Book 5 OC with Fernand or Nuibaba being the GHB unit.

When they slip OCs in, we get a compensatory non banner unit (see Emmeryn with Mirabiis and Tanya with Peony).

Thracia is on the verge of its second twelve-month drought of no new characters whatsoever. (No other mainline game suffers this indignity, of course). If this banner features the book 5 freebie OC, it may be in with a shot.

Mmm I am not sure if that banner will introduce a OC in the sense like before. I could imagine them giving out 3 new unmergeble "Askrs" so new players have none outdated units to start. My guess is Book 5 will be about Bruno and Veronica (at least thats what i hope). I could see them hand out  Bruno (Blue Tome Cav), Veronica (Green Tome infantry) and the Summoner with a new customisable feature to alter his appearance and movement type (Red Tome/Gun, movement type depends on the player) as free units that are unmergeable.

I'm hoping Bruno and Veronica end up as the missing Earth/Res and Fire/Spd legendaries, personally. Free story units could be a good place for that.

Red dagger infantry, blue tome cavalry, axe cavalry, and colorless bow infantry? It's possible, could work for FE8 in the form of a Colm/Selena/Duessel/Neimi lineup. I doubt it's intentional foreshadowing, though, it seems like more of a callback to 1-1. (Same map with Loki, red dagger infantry, and axe cav, but no tome cav or archer.)
