What modes would you like to see in a FEW2?

Personally, I just have one mode I'd like to see. I'd like Fort Defense changed to an intense timed challenge where all you have to do is defend 1-3 forts from the enemy, and you win if you last the full timer.

 

Defense is by far my favorite map type in FE, and the Fort Defense in FEW really doesn't live up to the name - it's just a generic mode with saboteurs added.

I would love to see a Empires style mode. Where you have to recruit conquer and defend territory in war instead. Instead of having everyone you have unlocked you start with 2-4 and have to capture or persuade others to join.

Also I would want a create a character mode. Where your avatar would actually be your avatar

An avatar would actually be a great change of pace for Warriors. Instead of OC lords, have a choice of gender, a few faces, and a few hair styles/colors for one Avatar character.

 

It would certainly fit the spinoffs better than it does the mainline games.

Even if they wanted to use OC an avatar would still fit in, as you could just have them be regular soldier since even in the 1st you have generic allies at times

I know its very farfetched to expect something like this...

But some kind of versus mode where 2 players fight for map control. And after a set time period whoever has the most forts, highest ko count, and number of ally captains still alive wins. And being able to directly fight the other player. If you defeat them it simply puts them on a 15 second or so break from the map before they respawn at their main base. (Main base in this case can't be captured)

Just something of a dream mode for a game like this. But i'm not really sure if it will even work.

As I've said before in other threads, a Chain Challenge mode where you play five consecutive maps using a set of 4-8 characters, with your characters' health carrying over from one to the next. Enemy Str and Mag stats would be abnormally high so that dying is an actual realistic possibility, forcing you to play carefully like a real FE game.

Like in FEH, I think that would be a more creative implementation of FE's permadeath mechanic than how the current game just forces you to buy them back if they die in any mode.
