Aircalipoor Report post Posted November 24, 2020 (edited) Greetings! I intend to write a couple of S-Supports for past FE games that didn't had them (for better or worse). A lot of them are reminiscent of the awful Awakening/Fates romances , but there are realistic ones to chose from as well. The artwork wasn't by myself, it is credited with my partner who contributes on this project: https://twitter.com/TaralynTired https://www.deviantart.com/taralyntired I already wrote two: Mia/Largo Original C-A Supports S-Support Art Marcia/Rolf Original C-A Supports S-Support Art What I like and try to emphasize with these supports is: - Forcing two characters without much chemistry together. - Rushing a romance or marriage in the span of four short support conversations. - Using tropes and cliches to let them act out of character while still maintaining their personality. - Making the reader and myself uncomfortable and cringing. Highlighting and making fun of some of the series bad writing at the same time, it is supposed to be a lighthearted exercise in creativity. If those points are made, I consider it a success. She is pretty and she may have a genuine sickness. On the other hand, that sickness is usually treated as a joke and makes her bland. I avoided the easier solution to just let her fall in love. Instead, I addressed how her hungriness impacts every relation she has with someone. Her willingness to share her food is the equivalent of a love confession, at least that's what I went with. Yodel and Niime seem to have a complicated past relationship, so I enjoyed pairing them together beyond just simply arguing that they are old. Niime in particular is a multi-layered character, whether you include FE7 or not. Then again, I just like the different lore of Dark Magic in the franchise.
