You can skip the inner spoiler if you just want the changes. Spoiler Spoiler Mario: Captain Toad as a definite new rep, to give Mario a character out of a more modern title and to try a character which . Dr Mario would be nice to see a bit more difference in too. DK: Dixie Kong ("Echo" akin to Isabelle), specifically taking advantage of the hair for flight and attack LoZ: One new Rep for sure, with there being several clones in this corner. Including current Ganon. Ganondorf did get more changed, but it would be nice to make a more deviated Ganon based more on OG Ganon, which doesn't fight the same as Boss Ganon. Kirby: It's a tossup: Bandana Waddle Dee, Marx or Gooey. Of them, I want to go for Bandana as it's the least moth sucking of them. Mother: A rep for Earthbound Beginnings, we'll pick Ana here. Star Fox: I was thinking to myself Krystal is a pretty obvious pick here, but we also have Slippy. Falco and Wolf being close to Fox make the hypothetical case to do both, but I'm going to give Slippy the pass here. Pokemon: I have expressed it before, but Incineroar's one of the worst pokemon designs and I'm still bothered it got pushed constantly. Definite out. As it stands there's six Gen 1 reps and four non Gen1 reps; a pika clone, two pokemon people blamed for a lack of Mewtwo and my one outright delete. So. If this were Smash Wii U 3DS, I'd say Sceptile and leave it there. For a newer rep, I am going to pick a GBA rep (replacing Incineroar) and a Switch rep. Part of me wants to pick Breloom, but Absol, Mawile or Flygon would probably be more likely. Of them I'm going to suggest Mawile. The Galar rep would be DLC and if I pick one it'd be Toxtricity, though it could be part of a Yell-styled trainer with Obstagoon and Impidimp. FE: Byleth replaced by 3H Heirs as the DLC. I always felt that Byleth's timing was obviously awful, so I legit think we should have seen the Ninty reps in the first pack, making the second pack even more wild. As for other alterations, considering the fact half are descended from Marth moveset wise, I have less problems with the numbers. With the new rep having no sword between them I only hope this appeases the shouts against sword lords. More variation would be nice though. Ninty's other lost toys: Isaac from Golden Sun. The Trophy was pretty decently far along already and there are plenty of routes with Psynergy, like Growth, earthquake spells or catching projectiles and that's without going into alternate classes. He could have Felix and Matthew as costumes too. Sega: I found it weird of the big external publishers Capcom and Konami had 3 fighters (aka the sole argument for me to not give Protoman/Zero a pick, but i could argue with Ken being an out and out echo), so let's even the odds a bit. Thus for SEGA, I have two picks. The first is Eggbotnik. As for the second I would say something but Atlus is a subsidiary. (And if we just say Again again, let's add Tails) SE: I am biased AF to do this, but I can't not pick Neku (TWEWY). I would say this, but under my 3 rule, Hero and Sephiroth have killed me. As for Sephiroth, I know I'd prefer several other FF games to show here (Cecil/Golbez/Kain/you could probably argue the rest of the final party here too from IV, Terra/Celes/Shadow/Kefka from VI, WoL from I to name a few), but Squeenix have a FFVII boner worse than Pokemon's Gen I boner. Namco Bandai: Aside from The Pac striking back (And Ms. Pac Man as an echo option), I could make the case for Mr. Driller/Dig Dug too. But that too is wide open and it'd be funny seeing someone from Soulcalibur, Tekken or Xenosaga get in. Or we'd get Klonoa. The Indie corner: Steve didn't quite open the floodgates due to Minecraft getting huge over the years. Shantae. Hard pick on this list. If we're going to see any, might as well be the one which started on GBC and is still a series where every game has been on Ninty hardware. I know others like Hollow Knight, Shovel Knight, Hat Kid and Cuphead come up and with Hades getting a fair bit of Switch love you could pick a fair few options here. The hail marys: Spyro and Crash are characters that would be quite convincing for me to consider getting the DLC (A good Spyro being an instabuy) Ninja Gaiden would also be a good call, and hey it's Tecmo's easiest pick The Fourth external slot would free things up for Zero (Capcom), Neku, Bomberman (Konami), Tails and whatever Bamco feel like. DLC changes: I would move Min Min, XenoDuo, Banjo Kazooie and I suspect at least one Ninty character's upcoming so they'll join going to the first pack. Echo-Slight clones, attempts to diversify: Dixie Kong, Ganondorf shoved here, Dr Mario, Pichu, The Marth force. Removed: Byleth (3H Heirs), Incineroar (Replaced with Mawile) DLC Packs: Pack 1: Min Min, Banjo Kazooie, Pythra, 3H Heirs, Yell Trio (Impidimp, Toxtricity, Obstagoon) Pack 2: Joker, Hero, Terry, Steve, Sephiroth, Bamco pick 1 Echoes of a Pack: Dixie Kong, Ms. Pac Man, Ana, Pack 3: Captain Toad, Ganon (Classic styled), Isaac, Bandana Waddle Dee, Slippy, Shantae The Mad Lad Band: Zero, Neku, Bomberman, Tails, Bamco's wild pick, Gooey, Krystal, Another Indie choice, Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, Mimikyu The latter packs could be part of a larger expansion as well.
