However, once Jason cut off Medusa's head, Pegasus leapt from the freshly cut nape. So that could be the reference? Although most people often forget about that detail. No. Like I said, I'd never heard of it before this thread. Oddly enough, to contradict me there's apparently depictions that have wings.
