The FEW2 Roster Voting Gauntlet

This is a fun collaboration meant to create a Serenes Forest community roster for a FEW2.

 

It starts with the full roster of the first game, which cannot be removed, and the full playable roster of 3H, which can be replaced with anyone from any game in the franchise.

 

So here's the rules:

1. Characters from FEW1 can neither be removed nor added. They are locked in. As in, don't waste add or remove votes on them.

2. Byleth, Edelgard, Claude, and Dimitri cannot be removed. They are locked due to being basically guaranteed and to avoid controversy and fanbase wars. 

3. Once removed, a character can't be added until they accrue 5 "revive votes" from different posters. Revive votes do not add the character back when accrued. They just allow someone to add them back with an add vote.

4. You may participate as much as you want (without double posts), but you can only issue 1 add, 1 remove, and 1 revive vote in one reply. 

5. Keep track of existing revive votes when issuing one. Copy paste the revive vote total from the previous poster in spoilers for easy tracking.

6. Once a character has accrued 5 revive votes and then been added by a subsequent add vote, they are locked by popular demand and cannot be removed. Rule Change - it now takes 4 revive votes to revive a character.

7. You must add and remove to do either. The size of the roster cannot change. Revive votes are optional, but they are how this eventually ends and how the final roster is realized.

8. Alternate versions of characters share their representation status (locked, added, or removed). For example: no multiple Annas.

9. Keep it civil. Someone removing a character you like or adding a character you don't like is not grounds to voice your displeasure with the decision or with the poster. Pretend it didn't happen, and use your remove votes and revive votes in response.

10. Rule Change - Everyone gets to lock one character in for free. This can be done by either removing someone and adding, or by locking a character already on the roster.

I knew it would be a point of contention, but playables only for the starting roster. Rhea and Gatekeeper must follow the same rules as everyone else.

Rules Diplomacy:

Do you think 5 revive votes to revive a character is sufficient for this, or should it be upped to 7 or 10? This must be decided before the first revival is finished or the integrity of the contest would be forfeit.

 

It was my guess that 5 would be appropriate for this relatively small community and I had originally meant to do 3. Boy, would that have been a joke.

 

This is a question of pacing. Currently, the only limitation on revivals is being willing to accept that said character is a 100% lock on the roster, and that's the way it should be.
