Abarb Posted April 28, 2021 Share Posted April 28, 2021 So I was wondering if anybody can answer this for me. I have 250+ hours and have done New Game + since the first playthrough. When I go to spend points to buy a mastered class skills not all the ones I have mastered are on there. I am wondering why this is and if there is a fix? Thanks for any help. Burklight Posted April 29, 2021 Share Posted April 29, 2021 If you always use the most recent clear to start a NG+, that shouldn't happen. Example: Clear 1 > NG+ 2 > NG+ 3 > NG+ 4 > NG+ 5...... If Instead you did something like... Example: Clear 1 > NG+ 2 > NG+ 3 NG+ 2 > NG+ 4 > NG+ 5 You would end up with problems where you're missing things you did in NG+ 3 in your NG+ 5 file. So the thing to ask is, where do abilities come from? They come from raising your skill ranks (i.e. Lance Prowess, Weight -3), class mastery (i.e. Mag +2, Darting Blow), and achieving a budding talent (i.e. Black Magic Avoid +20 on Sylvain). Skill ranks and class masteries can both be "bought back" via renown. So abilities that unlock through budding talents are the only broad pool of abilities that can't be bought back with renown. There is one other such ability, however - "Sword Avoid +20", which can only come from certifying as a Dancer (not mastering the class, nor buying back mastery).
