If you’re just resetting the game to the start of that exploration to try and reroll the results, then yeah that won’t work. You can, however, make a save right before you plant the seeds and reset to that one to reroll your results. You’ll have to go through the week again, and if it’s the final free day of the month you’d have to redo the battle as well, but since the results are determined when you plant the seeds it’s the only way to redetermine the outcome.
