Y'know, an age of empires two campaign centered around Surtr would be pretty interesting...

Mass Effect Legendary Edition...if he's the protag, then he's just an evil version of Renegade Shepard at best, or someone who would try to join the Reapers in order to have ultimate power at worst. ...yeah, I can really see him trying unite everyone in order to fight the Reapers just for the sake of the fight and nothing else.

How did Gandalf decide on this guy to carry the ring? Maybe it's because Sauron would never expect it. But at the same time, can Surtr even exit the Baggins' little hobbit home?

Me? Nah... but Surtr might.

He'd totally be using the likes of the Flamer or the Experimental MIRV, while clad in Hellfire Power Armor. Not for its heat resistance, he wouldn't need it most likely, but more for just the name itself, haha.

Definitely a fire-wielding mecha he'd use in SRW V. Certainly an original creation as he'd be, for all intents and purposes, the OG of the game. Or it wouldn't count as being OG?
