Darros doubling enemies, never thought I'd see the day. Man's too fast, someone stop him!

Well if you want him to be stopped, then you'll be very happy to know to that his speed growth upon promoting to a General will be 0%. Enjoy Double Darros while he lasts.

I'm not a professional theologian, but I don't think you have to be super serious for a blessing to work. This definitely cool though, may Darros hard-carry.

Luckily, Rickard has records of his old tweets from from the year 590. He was forced to buy plenty of Cordcoin.

Really, having old racist tweets is hardly the worst dirt you could have on a Smash player.

You really did him a favor in the end, since, of course, the value only goes up.

Well, there's always potential for more speed level ups, at least until he promotes to General. Doesn't seem likely he'll be using Gradivus, but with a horseslayer he should be pretty effective anyway.

Chapter 8: Tax Land

Now at Port Warren, Cord tries to enjoy having a brief vacation, allowing his army to freely go window shopping at the nearby market or swin by the rivers. However, Cord soon heard word of how the town is forced into paying taxes to Dolhr just to preserve their autonomy. Not just any taxes. Super taxes. It's like taxes, but done three times over. Reminded of what destroyed the power of his kingdom and what took the life of his previous King, Cord becomes enraged, immediately calling his army to kill every last solider from Dolhr. This anger driven passion to go routing the enemy did come with a problem. There were Grustian soldiers ready for Cord's arrival, and they had ambushes ready to finally wipe out the legacy of Altea Cord Caste. Why didn't they attack sooner? They also had a brief vacation.

Spoiler

http://YIVAL4D.png

While everyone else was window shopping, Cain forged a fire tome. Now he can easily take out armor knights on his own.

The start of the map was pretty simple. Everyone just ran upwards, while two losers down below were just shopping. One of which was a Marth fanboy. He was such a big fan of him, that he asked the shop owner to make a replicate of Marth's rapier.

http://K93CPBy.png

Once given the weapon, the owner asked "So what's the plan eh? You gunna fight with Cord's army with that to get his attention?" Caesar responds with "Oh this? I can't use this! It's like....a collector's item. It loses its value if used at all. I got other ways to fight". He then leaves to catch up with the Cord Fan Club. "What an idiot..."

On turn 2, 4 cavs rush towards the squad, so they need a strategy to not get game-ended.

http://R8pSoIZ.png

Well this is a problem. Matthis gets weighed down from the heavy burden of managing cryptocurrency. How can he tank 4 of these guys. Luckily, Matthis is smart.

http://68afeh9.png

By sending a poor Cain in range, the cavs will try to bully him for being a cripple. But with only one of them being able to hit him with Matthis making a choke point with Cain, the rest will have to get to Matthis first. If Matthis can just sell Cordcoin before they hit him twice, he'll only take the first hit from each cav, adding to 21 damage.

http://EmI2WtQ.png

Too easy...

http://qOySJH6.png

Man the Devil Axe really comes in clutch sometimes.

http://B4Lb8Mb.png

There weren't enough units who could reach the archers, so I had to wait a turn. Roger tries to create a save point, but forgot that only blue people can use the blue circle because the circle is racist.

After a little while, the boiz come across Roger, a knight who forgot to bring his helmet to work. Bord gets his hammer ready, but then a flier named Caeda intervenes. She urges Bord to not kill Roger, as he is her boyfriend and all she has left. Bord listens to her and spares Roger, but only because Caeda was hot. This led to an awkard conversation between Marth and Roger.

Spoiler

http://QTmECIc.png

You see, Caeda was previously Marth's girlfriend, but she left him soon after he became Cord's retainer. Marth spent day and night guarding Cord and going on missions for and with him, leaving him with no time to spend with her. Marth, still feeling guilty over letting her down, chooses not to stab Roger 28 times. He was still pretty mad.

http://1BQGBk3.png

While this happened, Rickard finally gets a kill, getting his first level up.

http://HYLkLMT.png

I need to get this guy more level ups. Doubling is supposed to be a guarantee for thieves.

http://ymoffXH.png

Matthis grabs the attention of the horseman for easy xp, but what he didn't know is that he just made the stage 5 times harder.

You see, I could've had Marth bait them all out. He's my tankiest and strongest unit. But I decided to be crazy and send him right to the boss. Without him, I only have Cord and a bunch of mediocre fighters against this squad of cavalry, with herds of reinforcements on the way, and there's still the armors and archers to the right. This is now a semi-efficient playthrough without warp usage.

Marth soon sees a large number of enemies emerge from the forts, and the rest appear to be getting ready to charge in an alll out assault on the Cord Fan Club. Wanting to have his lord escape unharmed, he rushes to the leader, hoping to scare off the Grustian soldiers while creating an exit for everyone else. Of course, Cord was still enraged over the whole "taxes" thing to bother following him. He and Matthis simply wanted to kill. What soon followed was an intense fight that nearly ended everyone.

Spoiler

http://YIzLUwr.png

Now surrounded, everyone has to think fast. Cord and Bord head east to deal with the armors.

http://d7zlGXL.png

As they did that, Matthis screws over a cavalier financially while Cord is rushing to crush tax enforcers.

Hardin is trying to bait the Horseman into attacking him, as Cord will die if everyone hits him. Matthis's horseslayer was also unequipped by Hardin so he doesn't get doubled.

http://q64AWqM.png

 Sad times.

http://nuhnp45.png

Happy times.

http://Re3tQgs.png

Marth was able to confront the leader by turn 5.

http://KIfvTJx.png

There he is. The infamous Kannival. He might not be smiling, but he has such a smug expression. And you want to know why? He's a cannibal. Why do you think that's his name? The people of Port Warren can't do anything though, as they will get taxed even more if they do.

Then we reach turn 6. I died 4 times trying to get through this turn.

http://VyvmAki.png

With no vulneraries in hand and only one healer with a single magic point, most units couldn't make a choke point without getting sent to Florida. Cord had to land this hit.

http://GihXjap.png

After getting healed, Matthis takes care of a Horseman, now at risk of dying.

http://0phY9QT.png

Thank Marty I got another defense level.

http://MGj0em3.png

http://kM0UjYL.png

If Darros uses anything else, he misses.

http://WWg8kxt.png

Thanks for the speed level @AnonymousSpeed.

http://4lrtQbs.png

Caesar arrives and sees the lord of his hero, Cord, about to get killed by the cav above, so he rushes in to block the attack. I actually needed to give his sword to Cord, because if he has it on, he counters and dies to the next guy. If the mountain didn't give him defense, he would've died anyways.

Rickard trades Matthis's slayer to keep from from letting the regular cavs double him. Another horseman gets distracted, because thieves never pay taxes, making them scum of the Earth. Bord, Wolf, and Cain run away from the knights, all heavily wounded from the last turn.

http://qxcQpzk.png

Marth rids the world of another corrupt evil, a tax collector. And a cannibal too, I guess.

http://IXjErof.png

Didn't know Marth had such muscles under that blue getup.

After a lot of trial and error, I finally get through the turn, letting me clear the map in 7 turns. I used the last turn to get as many kills as possible before escaping from the ambush.

http://rxe5D1f.png

Great...

http://Ggkt4zw.png

Rickard, Caesar, Cord, and Matthis get more xp. If this was a Thracia escape chapter, I'd be donion rings.

Total Turn Count: 7

Spoiler

http://hZTu2nb.png

This chapter would have been so much easier if Marth just fought with them. I also would've been able to rout the enemy and distribute xp more easily. My main reason for doing this is because I feel like the PMU would get a bit boring after a while if I just took a stroll to xp town. I think trying to aim for mostly decent turn counts spices things up, making scenarios more interesting to write/read through. So yeah, I think I'll change the rules to say "somewhat efficient", with chapter 4 being the only offender to that so far. Still not using warp though. I don't trust Roshea to warp someone and have them appear fully intact on the other side. I had fun with this chapter.

13 speed will let him double most enemies at this point in H3, but he loses 1 speed when using the steel sword. You think he'd have B rank in swords since the silver sword is supposed to be his main weapon as it's meant to be in FE1, but I guess they wanted you to have a silver lance wielder for those who bench Jagen.

It'd at least be something different. But with the Weapon triangle in this game it's understandable.

I have a confession to make. I rigged this level. Since there's a save point at the beginning, and Bord was really close to a level up, I wanted to make sure he didn't get another luck level. It took about 3 resets, but now he can avoid getting doubled for a while longer. This will hopefully be a one time thing.

I only hope.

I'd like to see a comparison done between the average Bord and Darros with mine at a certain point. Maybe once when they promote and again at endgame. Bord is really struggling, but Darros is on way way to promoting to being Cord's new retainer with Marth.

Chapter 9: Arg

While running away from the enemies of Grust, the Cord Fan Club makes their way to an island filled with pirates, apparently being friends with some old dragon man who is the king of this land. Either that, or they're too afraid to rob the guy. Since they're here, they might as well try to profit. How hard could advertising to pirates be? They have to be rich.

When Marth arrived to the village, he sees a blonde boy doing what blonde boys do. After that, the blonde named Jeorge asks to help in the fight. Marth said "Screw you, I'm here to sell coin". He didn't go all this way to get another archer. We have Darros. He thinks he can replace him? What a fool. Marth did get Jeorge's bow from the sale though. That'll come in handy. As for the rest, they get carried away with pirates. They began singing shanties and dancing in circles. Unfortunately, Cord hates singing, so a fight quickly emerged.

http://SB22hMi.png

On turn 5, I was in quite the predicament. I just used a savepoint, and I wanted to kill these guys in a specific way, but there were a lot of issues.

http://tvAwO3W.png

I really wanted to land this hit. There was another hunter I wanted to feed to Cord, and the pirate in the center island was right in Caesar's range. It seemed like the perfect setup, but things kept going wrong. I'd miss so many times, or I'd get abolutely horrbile levels. A lot of resets were had just try to get this turn to not suck. Eventually, I realized that I could've just done this:

http://SxNU99h.png

I feel stupid. I just really wanted Wolf to get that kill. Why? Well it doesn't matter now.

http://TUximkE.png

Cord sells Cordcoin to a dying cleric. The value of their life will only go up! After all, you can't have value if you're dead.

http://XlQPotv.png

Res tank Caesar incoming.

As the shanties were replaced by the blood curling screams of economical disruption, the Pyrathi Dragon, Mannu, was sitting in his throne, feeling very depressed. You see, people around the island always called him Dragon Santa. It was a joke at first, but children would then actually start seeing them as Santa. Not wanting to disappoint the youth of this land, he takes the role of Santa, spending day and night in the winter season making and giving gifts to everyone in Pyrathi. He himself however, would never get anything in return. Santa gives gifts. He doesn't receive it. Mannu was tired. He didn't want to do this anymore, but he couldn't let the children down though. Two of Cord's soldiers try to comfort him in their own ways.

Chapter 10: Please Just Let Me Bench Bord

Upon bullying the pirates at the previous kingdom, Cord and his questionably violent moneymakers make their way to the kingdom of Archanea. How did they get off of the island that was mostly inhabited by water? Easy. Bord's a pirate. He carried them and swam here. Unfortunately, Bord's not very smart, and we're now at Minerva's place instead, or at least, it's probably her place. Why else would the chapter be named after her? Since we couldn't just go back and waste all that time, Cord chooses to head on through this area, hoping to make a sale or two on the way. The enemies here seem noticeably stronger. That must translate to having more money.

Darros uses turn 6 to convert to the unholy cult of the blue circle. A holy flier tries to stop him, but is shot down immediately for not using their brain.

Here's some math. Darros will lose 4 speed when promoting and reclassing into a general. If Darros was to stop getting speed, his final speed would be 10. Each speed level now is greatly appreciated. Funnily enough, he's actually quite stat screwed in defense.

Guarding the top of the palace walls is the famous Draug Killer. That sword he carries was used to strike down Altea's walking tank. No, he wasn't called a that for his defense. http://WEltBLt.png

Matthis: "Challenge accepted"

He opens the door, ready to take on this so called "Hero of Grust".

http://uNRrfok.png

After a turn of fighting, both sides get tired, but Matthis gets carried away and almost gets himself killed out of recklessness. Luckily, Marth dived right into the battle in time, landing the final blow on him.

http://g2jxYX8.png

At this rate, he might get enough defense to survive Medeus with a few angelic robes.

http://RDkXhDN.png

On turn 10, Darros realizes that he's been chased by a herd of cavs this whole time. The Cord Fan Club gets ready to fend them off as Marth makes his way to the throne room to make negotiations. He was a bit busy though, as he saw Minerva right outside the doorway where the hero was. Considering that Bord killed Catria and Palla, she's probably pissed. But, Marth spots that her sister has been placed in prison. This was the perfect opportunity to get out of this situation. We just have to make a "deal" with her regarding the safety of her sister. I love the business of trade!

http://hamaY1A.png

As that was happening, Cord manages to pull a fast one on the leader. There was a hammer in a nearby shop, allowing Cord to easily dispatch of the general. Why would a shop sell a weapon made to kill the kingdom's top soldiers? Are the higher ups of Grust stupid? If you don't check up on them, someone might alter the current form of currency behind your noses!

Luckily, Wolf gave in to the unholy blue circle at this time, so progress wasn't really lost. After about 2 resets, Matthis survives, but mostly because he misses one of his hits, not letting cavs continuously attack him.

http://tJMIkhV.png

Apparently, Minerva can't stand her sister. Marth found out why the hard way. She wouldn't stop talking about Dream. Almost out of complete pity, Minerva joins up with Cord's funny gang for putting Marth through that.

http://LSufZyO.png

This is a lot of enemies. At least, it's a lot for the team without a Cord or Marth to help them out. Matthis unfortunately doesn't have enough HP to keep tanking, and using a healer on him would get Roshea killed. So, after about 4 attempts, I decide to go for taking out both horseman and having a semi wall for the sword cavs.

Bord actually helps out.

On turn 14, Marth gets really close to the throne, but another squad of enemies try to capture us, forgetting that this isn't Thracia. The next turn will just be spent getting some last few sales before finally making it to the Archanean Kingdom.

It's annoying that Marth has to go through the center and talk to Maria himself in order to get Minerva. This could've been a lot faster and easier if Marth just went west with Cord. At least I have Minerva now. Speaking of which, I actually don't know if they're allowed to reclass or if they stay as a wyvern. I think the PMU request was basically "whatever you want", but I'm not sure if that meant I pick one class or choose at any point. I am definitely overthinking this. It doesn't even matter. Why would I abandon A axe rank dragon riding lady?

Aw, I was hoping General would have enough base speed to not go down too much, but I guess that was just wishful thinking.

Chapter 11: This One Is Hell on New Mystery

Finally. Cord has arrived at the Archanean capital. This is the part where we need to make a solid impression. The economy of our country will largely depend on how we approach this. Knorda Market is right around the corner. This is Cord's chance to make it big. Princess Nyna said something about her family being hanged, but Cord was too occupied with how to pitch Cordcoin to notice her ramblings. But, on closer inspection, Cord sees that his allies were almost shot by a ballistae. Those damn cheaters. Using long range to try to land a funny one at their enemy. No honor! In Cord Castle, people fight like him. Wild and ignorant of strategy. Without Nyna being in her castle, the enemies captured the command post pretty easily, and have prepared ballistaes to bully Minerva. This was actually good news. Since Archanea is camping, Cord will gain much more recognition for being the kingdom's savior. It's gaming time.

http://yu9lZfQ.png

Minerva failed to realize that most mercs hate her for being a wyvern rider. It makes them jealous as sword locked foot soldiers. It didn't help that Minerva's past time was to fly onto mountains and bully non-fliers to establish dominance as a girlboss gamer.

http://qE5mltE.png

Matthis can already use the silver lance, which is pretty nice. He distracts the mercs from harming Minerva by verbally bullying them even harder than she ever would.

It sucked that Wolf had to stay back, but I needed someone to get rid of the flier. I had to restart due to that flier 1RKO'ing units like Roshea and Caesar.

Turn 5 was pretty boring. They just tortured a thief. Who cares.

http://01vfbew.png

This is the face of the man who will hang your head at the gates of Altea if you do not comply. Marth has gained quite the reputation.

In the village was some lady who talked about a dead dad. Not interested in her recruitment dialogue, Marth cuts the music cue and tells her to sell Cordcoin in Knorda Market on his behalf. He didn't have time to advertise crypto here, as Cord was just running to the castle doors. How is Cord still alive?

http://QdFzYYJ.png

How do you get to an armed ballistae? Charge with so many people that the guy running it doesn't know who to shoot.

http://z0kHqma.png

Some crazy person at IS thought it'd be hilarious to throw in a sniper with a killer bow. Jokes on them. Matthis can actually survive a crit while getting doubled.

http://LLUR2om.png

Matthis uses turn 9 to suplex the horseman who tried bullying Cain. It disturbs me how much defense Matthis is getting. No, I do not regret giving Darros the speedwing.

Thank Ronan for that speed. That single point difference between his strength and speed was driving me nuts.

http://MOc1jIv.png

Who needs tactics? Cord needs only his axe and his coin.

http://Cf8JFSL.png

Marth and Matthis take down the ballistae on turn 12. Screw that guy in particular. Cord stands over the fort to deliver a speech for how Cordcoin will change the future of the continent. The dragon man nearby hates public speaking though, as it reminds him of when he took communications class and had to argue with the teacher about brining his firestone to the presentations. A fight soon commenced. In the next turn, Cord skedaddles to the throne, where the guard to the castle was in tears from his speech, offering his firstborn child for Cordcoin. Okay.

Bord gets a hit on evil dragon loser with a hand axe.

Didn't feel like making up dialogue for him. Pretend he died with the rest of the ballistae men.

Actually, speaking of Jake, I had to redo this entire chapter because of that. I completely forgot until I was near the end and had to start over. The fact that I was busy with school as well made that reset so painful. It's why this post is a day late. Boo Jake boo.

If you don't mind some serious abuse, reclass Lena into a flying class, then have her and Caeda fly into range of the ballistae together.  The AI should target Lena, and if you use a save point earlier, you can reset until she dodges everything.

Chapter 12: Imagine Getting Captured lol

Some call it the ageless palace. That's a lie. It came to place 6 centuries ago. Damn Archaneans. Making stupid titles and phrases just to sound superior to the rest of the continent. It's a big house. That's it. Cord would complain about the rich class in this kingdom who never suffered from taxes like Altea has, but he has to put up a farce to appeal to the people here as he retakes the castle for Nyna. As soon as the squad entered, they noticed that some of Nyna's most loyal soldiers were captured. Cord doesn't care at all for these boneheads, but Nyna promised to let his army take all of the treasures in this palace if he started caring. So now this chapter is a rescue mission. Great...

Spoiler

http://4zdNATz.png

This thief was in the middle of looting the place while the fight was happening outside the castle. What he didn't know is that he literally stole the most worthless item. While the warp staff is valued by clerics, it has no monetary value, and he has no friends. He and a 2nd thief hide behind pillars to avoid the Cord Fan Club, hoping to sneak out while they fight, or they could try getting to the chest room in all of the chaos. Luckily for me, Darros has the eyesight of a Crimson Eye, so the theives were quickly disposed of. Yes, Darros can double a theif.

http://JVZP4vg.png

It didn't take much strategizing to deduce that letting no harm come to them is impossible simply by running. So, Cord had to take a risk to get those sweet Archanean rewards. He told Roshea to use the warp staff the thief dropped to teleport him right to the place. Barely experienced, Roshea had extreme hesitation in performing this warp. However, one look at Hardin gave him the courage he needed to pull it off successfully. The warp staff then exploded, as it was produced by Michael Bay.

http://7qXVpBP.png

An accurate recreation of Cord's entrance to the prison room

http://svhoPUt.png

Minerva was so close to giving her Cordcoin away, but then the knight remembered about how a youtuber told him that crypto is a scam, so he politely but firmly declines. In a fit of rage, Minerva bashes his skull open. She didn't mean to. Just had to relieve stress.

http://HwEuOER.png

His partner was traumatized to see that event unfold. Luckily, Matthis is hear to end his suffering.

http://WcyZc2a.png

This is such a kick in the liver to Bord. Minerva truly is the OG girlboss unit in Fire Emblem.

http://29JxX7i.png

Matthis is probably my 2nd best unit. Darros slays, but Matthis is always on the front lines doing heavy damage with his sliver lance, horseslayer, and super high defense. If I get a second speedwing, it's definitely going to him...probably....maybe....unlikely. SpeeDarros.

http://DTGLUNd.png

Nothing really happened on turn 2, but Cord baited out an archer. Why didn't be bait out both? Come on. They're hiding behind the wall. You expect him to see through that?

http://FKD0Ajj.png

I wonder how his bases will change when reclassed to a hero?

After game-ending the guards in the entrance and the executioners for the prisoners, Cord takes a gander at the knights who were locked up.

"Wow...you guys suck". Cord heads on to the fight, completely forgetting to open the door to let them out. They can wait. Matthis uses the master key that somehow open any door in the world, making the concept of security a pointless endeavor. Rickard rushed in to steal the goodies that probably hold great significance to the history of Archanea and its ancestors.

Spoiler

http://gq14SdY.png

On turn 3, Matthis acts as a 2nd Rickard, opening chests while rushing in to speed up the process. The General didn't bother attacking us, as he was too busy trying to pull another Fallen Edelgard in FEH.

http://V8TaQ8h.png

Matthis loses his patience immediately and open the door to the throne room, bringing a sniper to his range. Luckily, the General was too busy trying to pull a legendary Sigurd to attack Matthis this turn. Wolf rests on the wall to catch his breath and avoid the enemy. What he didn't know is that reinforcements just showed up from the entrance, and the horseman used console commands to have his arrows noclip through the wall in order to try killing him.

http://BfnO1Ur.png

On turn 5, my team is ambushed by a squad of cavalry led by a Dolhrian paladin responsible for various extermination camps made for those who failed to pay their taxes.

http://LVGw5cf.png

That name can't just be a coincidence, right? It's very off-putting. At least he has a master seal.

http://wwxYeBr.png

Meanwhile, Minerva, Hardin, and Darros deal with reinforcements. That speed level from Minerva is really helpful.

http://GmxeagJ.png
"You there. Grustian knight. How much crypto...can you handle?"

http://qH06cT5.png

Marth strikes them all down with extreme prejudice. Heimler went down with one blow from the economical force emanating from Cordcoin. His tax collecting mind couldn't comprehend the notion of an alternation of currency causing change in the system.

Turn 6 features a lot of my army getting slowly cornered, so I take defensive stances, doing all my battles on enemy phase

http://bu7uzUi.png

See? Giving Darros the speedwing was the best idea I ever had. He's doubling promoted Horseman.

http://oHNy9Nv.png

It sucks that he's not getting much strength, but he does need more defense.

http://KuRH1A8.png

Wolf barely survived by using a vulnerary. I imagine getting burnt by fire must be very painful. Mages should be a warcime.

http://6ItvHg5.png

Hardin and Darros take out another cav reinforcement. Eh. Speed is nice I guess. But what matters is that he finally got to C rank in swords. Now he only needs one more to use the silver sword he was meant to use 7 chapters back.

After about a handful of Cordcoin being sold, Marth reaches to the throne room and sees the man who stole Archanea from Nyna's family. Volzhin. This gave Marth further shock. Unknown to even most nobles, Volzhin was an ancestor to Volgin, and is such one of the members responsible for the Philosopher's Legacy. Too dangerous to be kept alive, Marth order Bord to immediately kill him. After that, Marth took some time to reflect on all that has happened throughout this journey. Not only has Cordcoin become a major success for Cord Castle, but he himself has grown so much as a person. Basically, Marth is having a character arc in his head. Matthis uses this time to head to the very end of the palace, finding a chest that had some sick Yeezys.

Spoiler

http://zGSsfIl.png

What a fitting way to end this tyrant.

http://WgO2YPn.png

I could've cleared the map on turn 7, but I still needed to get the boots. This game doesn't have a thief staff if I'm not forgetting anything, so I had to use up a few extra turns for that. I'm sure the boots will make up for those lost turns. It's an investment.

http://HfC4wZc.png

Damn. So close.

Total Turn Count: 10

Spoiler

http://UeFck74.png

3 turns were used on the last chest. I could've made it 9 if I was just a bit more aggresive with Matthis, but I wasn't about to start over for that. The warp thing with Cord was the only way to make sure that Midia, Boah, and Macellon don't see combat. I could do one turn like that, but then Dolph dies if I don't swap. Hopefully, this will be the last time I use warp. Cord Castle does not rely on sorcery.

Wait, so Marth can see into the future?

Man. There's time traveling in Awakening. You can go back in time on Three Houses, and Alm briefly saw into a possible future through Mila's turnwheel. Marth might as well have that power.

I'm literally crying right now. There's a non-zero chance for Darros to cap his unpromoted speed.

Thats why I'm considering to unironically give Darros the speedwing to reach 20 speed. That would be the best thing I could screenshot. It'd be the peak of my FE experience. The next speedwing isn't until chapter 17 though. That means I have to wait until after that to promote, and get 2 more speed levels. Unlikely, but possible. He'll have 16 as a General, which should be enough to not get doubled for the rest of the game, except from manaketes.

I like how both of your PMU drafts are basically my best units. I'm not sure if you had that in mind, but you did it. Congrats.

If you don't mind some serious abuse, reclass Lena into a flying class, then have her and Caeda fly into range of the ballistae together.  The AI should target Lena, and if you use a save point earlier, you can reset until she dodges everything.

I've never been a fan of relying on dodges. I know this is just stating a possible way to get Caeda to Jake, but they really shouldn't have made Caeda the one who needs to recruit him. For this run, Lena isn't on the PMU, so my only alternative was Roshea, but I'm pretty sure the AI would've chosen Caeda over him. Aw well. I used another warp on 12, so it's not like I needed to avoid 11 warp at all costs. The bigger problem is getting Rickard to work. He still is at E in sword. Sad times.

It's going to take a lot of blessing for Bord to not make you bored.

I'm already bored of Bord now that Minerva is here. Cord just reached B in axe. I can only hope Bord gets a lot of strength soon, so he can at least excel in one thing. Barst would be ashamed.

Congratulations. You made me laugh. Have a Cordcoin. The value only goes up.

I'm afraid to do chapter 13 tomorrow. I hate that chapter. It doesn't help that I have to write and record a 5 minute speech that day. I should've made the topic be about Cordcoin. Hopefully I'll still have time to upload tomorrow.

I did not, but I'm glad nonetheless. This must be what it feels like to win at gambling.

If you can get Rickard to chip at a ballista a bunch (you may need to forge an iron sword for this), it should help his sword rank!  Note that you'll want Tomas to do the same, because he needs to get to D lances ASAP.

Also, Roshea would need to be promoted in order to reclass to a flying class, and that would be horrifically awkward.

Chapter 13: The Worst Chapter in the Game

Now that Cord has finished making Cordcoin a phenomenon across both Archanea and Aurelis. Now he can go back to Cord Castle and manage the crypto's value that only goes up. Except he can't, because he forgot one very important thing. Setting a damn guard for the castle while he was gone. Now it's in enemy territory. Cord has never played Genealogy. This will be terrible for the economy. He has to hurry back, so the army rushes straight through Fort Menedy, the place filled with ballistae users who are too lazy to actually fight like real soldiers. Because ballistaes are their personality, they relish using it whenever possible, so they attacked Cord immediately, despite having no reason to do so. They're just bored.

What Cord didn't notice is that two people joined up with him without his notice. Tomas and Dolph. He asked them "The hell are you kids here for?". It turns out that these two were prisoners even before Gra's shenanigans. They were actually on death row, so they quickly escaped with Cord to avoid their punishment. Cord didn't have time to question the morality of letting them stay, so he tossed a few iron weapons and let them do their thing.

Spoiler

http://OqbZtmU.png

Dolph was responsible for the murder of Macellan.

His speed base is absurdly high for a level 4 fighter. He only needs 1 more speed to double a cav. I've used fighter Dolph before, so I think I can safely say that he'll be a decent unit to have. He's like an Est. He shows up about halfway in the game with mostly unimpressive base stats, but has good growths and high speed. His only real flaw is E rank axes. Honestly, he'll probably surpass Bord by 2 chapters.

http://NuTttpv.png

Why would you recommend this..... What the Belhalla am I looking at? His growths aren't even good. E rank lances! Even Vyland is better than this! At least he's on chapter 5 with a a lance rank. Oh I get it. You felt bad for Bord, so you throw in Tomas to make him look better. That's nice, but not for me. Marty dammit...

Tomas was responsible for making Othello murder his wife.

Marth drippin with da Yeezys.

http://IOZCiXW.png

I give Rickard the ability to pitch Cordcoin for when he hopefully gets his rank up in this chapter.

This chapter is very hard to narrate. There is almost nothing I can comment on. Why? Because it sucks. I literally just redid turns until I dodge enough hits. Even with baiting the AI, you will lose units unless they miss. Who thought leaving this map with an army of ballistae men was a good idea!? They weren't like that in FE1. Why not make any changes? This is awful design. You need General Sedgar/Wolf to get through this on H5.  I hate this chapter so much.

http://4QRTQTM.png

At the end of turn 2, half of my army is in range of several ballistae. The plan is to distract them. Confuse them with too many targets to count. They didn't go to school to learn math. They're glued to their ballistae.

http://O6HfhKA.png

Matthis was given an energy drop to 1RKO this guy. He deserves it for not getting the speedwing. Wolf and Bord were fighting one of the enemies on the upper side of the map, leaving the last one for Rickard to fight.

http://hhHg2RK.png

Is Bord trying to not fall off now that Dolph is here?

Marth attempts to rush to the boss to get out of this place already. But then, he sae that he missed a town behind him that was hidden by trees. Now he has to walk balk, making the 10 arrows lodged on his back pointless. At least Cord got a laugh out of it. Rickard and Tomas spend about 4 turns stabbing the wood of the ballistae, barely making a dent to it. The ballistae men grieved over their lack of close ranged attacks and were stuck in this hell of being bullied endlessly. They activate the self destruct button on their contraption to end their suffering early. The boss on the other hand, was determined to win this fight, having two armed men right behind him to swarm any invaders. They missed completely, and he died.

Spoiler

http://BH3eMAP.png

That boss does some nasty damage to anyone. Marth had to get close to wipe out the other ballistae men that were making the center area too dangerous. Basically, I needed to AI to not attack Marth. Also dodging. Did I mention that I hate this chapter?

http://DdxiCSh.png

There was a hero in their ranks, which was odd since he wasn't a fan of bows. Before Darros could get another kill, Midia rushes in to get this guy out of here now that Archanea is no longer cringe. She must've been very stealthy to have gone here with no one noticing.

http://VXxLaA5.png

What?

http://lIFksBe.png

Okay. Matthis is unironically good.

http://SSPVTXg.png

This is going to take a while...

http://9fYHtF6.png

On turn 4, Cain sets a thief on fire. Who cares about that brutal method of murder? This is a nice level. It's not great, because speed, but it's still nice.

I used a save point at this time, which was good, because I had to reset like 4 times from ballistae shenanigans. Fun fact: This chapter sucks.

http://KZwSshe.png

On turn 5, I managed to get close to the boss and start getting some hits at him. Matthis rushed him from below to murder his wife, who was a cleric. Now he'll be too depressed to fight properly!

http://Hqqhe0c.png

Thank Cord for Cordcoin.

http://q7kLcVx.png

Wow Rickard. I bet Julian would be proud.

http://JsKvomo.png

Minerva being a gamer once again.

http://JgiMMh1.png

On turn 7, I set up a boss kill for Wolf. He hasn't been seeing much action. He needs more levels to not fall off.

http://KOlggGy.png

I'm sorry. I already have Matthis on my side.

http://qRTyODR.png

I don't play Heroes. Is Wolf good there? He should be.

As the boss was getting beaten up, Marth went all the way back to the town to make a quick Cordcoin sale to make the crypto valued throughout the entire continent. Why couldn't anyone else do it? Stage fright.

On turn 8, right before Marth would seize, Rickard, with help from Bord, finally gets to D rank in swords and gets the kill on the guy.

http://9vAsfyB.png

Y'know. I think Rickard has JUST enough HP and defense to survive the enemies of next chapter by 1 HP. He no longer gets weighed down by steel, but his speed isn't high enough to double.

http://EiJf9W1.png

I haven't been posting Roshea's levels, as they were all awful. But now he got speed. Yes, he has yet to gain any magic so far. Physic heals less than 10 HP.

Total Turn Count: 8

Spoiler

http://5nco4Gl.png

Yeah I really don't have many comments or jokes for this one. I really just hate this chapter. What can I even talk about. It's just a hallway of ballistae. I just move and dodge over and over. Reset and reset. Even with a General, the chapter still sucks. It's not fun. Use the warp staff to skip this one if you ironman this or just want to actually enjoy the game. The next chapter is a lot cooler though.
