Maybe it could only be a partial refreshment, say of 5 per weapon? Or... I'd go percentage-based if you're doing that sort of thing, personally. 7 minutes ago, Shanty Pete's 1st Mate said: But "beginning of map" would be more player-friendly. More importantly, it'd let you go in with different equipment on a reset. That was my reasoning, at least. 7 minutes ago, Shanty Pete's 1st Mate said: Say, ordinary Plains cost 3 move to get through, but Forests and Mountains each cost a breezy 1. So it could hurt or help, depending on map characteristics. An interesting idea. Probably can't be done in GBA hacking, but in a theoretical world, that could work. It'd create very weird map-movement dynamics. Edited January 27, 2022 by AnonymousSpeed
Jotari
Restoring 5 durability points would be a good compromise between "being useful" and "destroying game balance". Three Houses had those random glowing tiles if you're connected to wifi, and some of them restore weapon durability on all your weapons, but aren't considered monstrously broken. Though granted the random aspect makes them hard to abuse (though, pro tip, the effect doesn't change if you rewind time, so it's absolutely worth spending a time pulse if you step on one of them to better organise what exactly they repair. They work on relics too).
Imuabicus der Fertige
Regarding repairing durability: away with villages giving specific stuff, instead you can either get loot/money/forge/repair or pillage(weaker version of the aforementioned). Other than that, I present the Miraculous Gambler Growths: ? Stats: ? HP/LCK is always maxed. LCK = 30. Weapon Ranks: All Spells: All Staves: All Skills: O Fortuna: Every unit prep screen all growths, stats (except HP/LCK), weapon ranks and movement (cannot be less than 1) are randomized. "Lucky" Coin Toss: after every kill, chance to increase a stat by +5 or a combat value (hit/avo/crit/critAvo) by +20. Stacks for map. Act. rate = LCK% "Acquiring" Funds: every combat, LCK% chance to receive 1-7K gold. Dirty Trick: +50% SKL/LCK activation rate. Offensive skills are unaffected by interferring skills. Personal Weapon: Rigged Dice: 1-2 rng. Brave effect. Dmg is calculated against RES/DEF. Both values are applied. Personal Equipment: Fortunas Favorite Dice: +20% SKL/LCK activation rate. Miracle. On use: reroll everything, but increase stats by +10, mov by +3 and weapon ranks by +2. May break stat caps. 7 uses.
