"I... Yes. I will take the same services that thou have taken." Astraea still felt a little off balance, not having expected such a generous offer from the establishment, but glad to have a chance to spend time with members of the group. "I am intrigued to experience more things of this place. I know that I have not been very open with this group, but. I am glad to have been included. I do not have much to offer to you all, but you all have been so kind..."

"It sounds good to me. As long as you are happy too." He gently squeezed her arm, looking around at the town they were walking through. "I'm not sure I'll be much of a guide, but I can do my best. Show you the sights, find a place to relax together... I can manage that I suppose." It was hard to focus on the small moments, with so much of the big picture being as scary as it was, but he had to do it. The here and now was what he had. He couldn't guarantee he had anything else, not with the way the world was moving. For now, he would have to focus. He would stay on track, enjoying the little things and deal with the big ones when they came. "So then... A jewelry shop. Time to see what we can find, yes?"

Nashwa returned the slightest of smirks for the acknowledgement she was getting better... and her beauty too, she supposed. It wasn't as abjectly annoying as it used to be. "Yeah, I ended up meeting another succubus. Already helped me a lot, but it's not like I'm perfectly fine yet." Her slightly pointed ears perked up as soon as Greg started going off about her armor, though, and her gaze became more intense with every word, holding herself together just long enough to let the stocky man finish and walk off. "They're still here!? Damn it, I've got a barrel to shove up their ass!" Her tail had shot up stiff, wings spread in a burst of anger. If the thieves were still in arm's reach, she'd have more than a couple words for them, and very likely a hail of dark magic too! Thankfully, they weren't right there, letting Nashwa take a breather and actually think about her situation. If she just went and attacked a bunch of people while under the Demon King's employ, that would be a very, very bad look on both her and Thesephine, destroying whatever semblance of stealth they had in Hwein.

She let herself relax and pull in her wings, sighing and following Greg for a sec. "Thanks. It's not your problem, so I appreciate you telling me even that much. We'll probably see again once I'm done with this job." Swift steps took her out of the gambling parlor. She had a clear goal now: go to the Trading Guild to ask where her stuff might be, and see if she could spot her armor on the way there. Her eyes peered around as she walked, trying her best to catch sight of that familiar jet-black armor, but not finding anything on the main street. Hopefully, her luck would change in the guild itself... The succubus was never much for browsing the multitude of booths, but then she'd never really, been places, without having to deal with her special problem.

As soon as she reached her destination, Nashwa began systematically going through the guild, from booth keeper to booth keeper, with the same question for all of them. "Have you seen a set of black plate armor being traded, one with gaps for wings, horns and a tail? And have you seen a matching tower shield with a welded brace on the right-hand side?"

This man's behavior was... interesting. Based on the pipe he was smoking with, he was certainly intoxicated to some degree; with what, Ilvira wouldn't dare ask. In spite of her adventurous nature, intoxicants were one thing she was never too keen on exploring, even if she knew it would be safe for her to. "Understood. Thank you for your time," she simply answered, taking a quick bow to punctuate her thanks. Her time would be better served with this Big Bob, though as she neared the building pointed out to her, she held a momentary frown upon seeing some of the people from their group outside. I will simply have to hope they do not ask too much.

Not paying mind to their antics, Ilvira passed by the lot and directly approached the large orc. "Excuse me, you must be Big Bob? I would like to inquire whether you have the capability to restore weaponry to good condition. I have a rather important piece that has taken quite a lot of damage across the years, and it would pain me greatly to see it degrade further. I also need its repairs to be done in a very quick fashion, preferably within the day." That might raise the price of the work to an untenable degree... Perhaps her recently-gained allies behind her could help with that issue.

When Ayane had thought on what they might find in the tavern, it certainly wasn't a fox of all people. Let alone one slumped over the counter, it was quite staggering. "...the foxes are all quite as unpredictable as I expected." She could only let out a sigh, as she realized her party let her take the lead. Though it was probably more of a golden opportunity over anything else, and she wasn't going to let this tail slip through her fingers without something. "Well in that case, into the breach we go." She boldly lead to the counter and stepped to the side of the fox. "...good morning."

"Full body as well," Jade replied at Lavinia's prompting, "But I'll spring for some aromatherapy in addition to the base package. Call it weakness if you want, but what can I say, I love good smells."

The star still seemed to be a little nervous, but was hopefully mellowing out. If everything went right, that was one goal well on its way to being met.

The sudden voice caused a bit of a start, but Susan quickly regained her composure, turning to face the wraith she'd been half searching for. Giving a semblance of a shrug, she responded. "Wasn't looking for anything specific, just trying to get a feel for things in general. You can learn a lot about a society by seeing how its least fortunate are treated..." She tilted her head as she trailed of, then added, "Except maybe looking for you, I guess? I hadn't seen you disappear, and well... That egg thing you bring up is more connection I have with most of this world. The only stronger bond was elsewise occupied and I didn't wish to intrude." "As far as danger goes, I'm not really looking for trouble, but I couldn't care less if I find it..." Susan shrugged dismissively, but as a small twinge in her arm reminded her, she amended her statement somewhat. "That said, overconfidence has bitten me before, so maybe I should stop tempting fate. Especially when I'm still not completely sure how things have... changed." Nisha's remark that she hated crowds, disliked cities, was a bit of a surprise, if not really shocking. Biting back an almost involuntary 'Who hurt you?' only a faint 'wh' sound left Susan's mouth, but it could have also been a 'what', 'where', or even 'well', for all a listener knew. In the end she pivoted to the following, "Well, I'll have you know I'm not going to be a good date. Without so much as pennies to my name, the only place I can think of that's not like to throw me on my ass for not having two coins to rub together would be a church. For all their rotten underbelly of corruption, they generally like to keep up a good public image. And hell, if nothing else, it'll get me updated on whose names I should be taking in vain these days." As she started walking off with this vague new destination as a goal, she turned back over her shoulder and called out, "Of course, this is just unless you've got any better ideas."

Xetketh seemed to rather lack the fear that Miz had, apparently instead settling for expressing her interest in the orc and orcs in general; and also not-unnoticeably glaring at him with several of the eyes that surrounded her. It was difficult to evaluate the significance of that, not least because he wasn't sure how much of it was conscious on her part. "Ah... yes. Orcs are commonplace, in this time. I can't exactly speak as to what might be new to you, seeing as I don't rightly know the extent of what was present in your time,  but if there were only the two you speak of, then yes. You'll find quite a number."

As Miz (slowly) made her way about a step or two in front of him, he looked back towards Lucille; he was rather loathe to leave her alone, given how they had meant to come to the shopping district together, but he couldn't shake the feeling that there was some manner of social impropriety waiting just minutes away within Big Bob's store if he went to go join her at the stalls now. She seemed to be rather intently focused on her discussion with the merchants, so hopefully she'd managed to find the tights she was looking for. He looked back towards the weapon store, a slight grimace on his face, and resolved to try to be quick about things in the store, at the very least.

"...Do you intend to enter the store, or... not?"

Ness gave out a soft chuckle at Meri's rebuttal, watching as she turned from protest to joining in on teasing the fairy on short notice. "Alright, sister. I can wait as well... mmm, I'm don't need that meal again just yet. I wouldn't want to overburden your escort knight besides~" With a playful lilt, she sat beside her sister, putting her magic to rest. "I've had some things to think since before the Wastes... Might as well try some traditional relaxation while at it. Maybe it'll help."

Trying his best to ignore the comments, Fyl floated towards a seat next to Meridrys, before Nessraya took the one. "Mm... I-I'll be fine, thank you, Lady Meri. It wouldn't be proper if I, uh..." He shook his head, if only to hide his blushing. "Anyways! I'm pretty light, you don't have to worry about me getting tired."

"Well, I couldn't say no to a chance like this. Better to learn how today's changed fight." Hecate wasn't lying that it was nice data, though perhaps less exciting than learning the current technology level via the average quality of martial weapons and spells... Still. "We already came all the way here. Might as well." Analyzing the cat changed's demeanor belied her anxious disposition... it seemed like there was a bit of disparity between their prowess compared to the hellhound's. Oh well. "Give us a good show, will you?" With a soft, trained smile, Hecate turned to her machine. "Come, Lazuli, let's take a seat."

Taliyah's newfound joy was intoxicating, and how could he blame her? Agni followed the two, full glad that things came to a head so quickly. "Excellent, enjoy yourselves, we're not that wanting for coin." It was a nice idea, he quickly followed over. "We might find some of the others, certainly. Chiaca is not *too* big. You'll get used to the layout soon." It was... nice to be able to speak to Marina on such casual occasions, Agni seldom realized how he missed it. Too many important events demanding her attention, too many hard calls... but none of that today, just reconnecting and strengthening friendships.

Good.

"I wouldn't mind running into folks while we're in town. I know we all split off, but maybe if we go looking for clothes, they'll see something we'd like and point it out to us!" Tali was beaming now, walking along without a worry in the world. Even if they needed to keep slightly low profiles, Taliyah wanted to make this most of this. This was their first stop in real civilization in quite some time! As the little group made it into the city proper, Tali spotted Seilan's bunch off in the distance, looking like they were also shopping for clothes. The new girl, Lucille, she was a bit intimidating still. Not in terms of her personality, but the magic she used... Mages tended to be scary. Agni was different, he was... He was Agni. She made an exception for him. So instead of walking all the way down there near them, she stopped at the first stall down central street, poking around at shirts and shorts, wondering what exactly Marina and Agni were hoping to get out of the place. It seemed like it had a whole lot...

"You must've been shopping in Coteon. This is Hwein! Everything is trade here~ Prices are fair and all sizes are catered to. Worry not, if I didn't have exactly what you were looking for, I promise you that someone would." Aimee was confident, nodding along with her claims. "Skirts for riding... I've got plenty of skirts, you'd have to see which pairs suit you best... Would you be interested in some skorts?" Aimee held up a rather peculiar skirt, that, upon closer inspection, would reveal itself to be shorts with fluttery edges like a skirt. "I've had some success in sales with these for lady soldiers... It's new from Geilerzell, the capital. Don't know who the genius was the came up with the idea, but it'll keep your thighs safe while letting you be just a little bit stylish~ Perfect for riding, wouldn't you say? It's new, so while I can give away the tights like water... I'll have to charge you twenty gold a piece for something like this. If you just want skirts, though, I'll give you the same deal as the tights~"

"Full body massages for the lot of you and two aromatherapy sessions for the lovely undead and the... Mmm. I'm afraid that I've never met someone quite like you. My sincerest apologies, however, I'm certain we can work the kinks out of your body no matter what you are~" The elf nodded calmly and guided the three towards a door that led further into the massive tree, up a set of spiralling stairs. "Our associates above shall handle getting you settled onto your beds for a proper massage. Please enjoy~" As soon as they were out, she turned her attention back to Nessraya's new entourage, still smiling softly.

"My apologies for the wait. What shall we provide you three, today?"

"Work my whole body," Meridrya said with a groan, slowly picking herself up. "I do hope that your attempts at more normal relaxation bear fruit, Nessraya, however... If you still find yourself wanting, feel free to partake of Fyl. He's only looking after me~ Not exactly under any strain..." Meri continued to chuckle as the two teased Fyl mercilessly to his face, the elf finally yawning a moment. "Mmmnn, shall we?"

Lavinia took the lead as they were ushered up the stairs, ending up on a floor that seemed to have been built leading out onto the branch. Sunlight was coming in near the far end the room and it seemed as though it lead directly outside. Maybe they had outdoor services here? She wasn't keen on neither sun nor showing herself off, but she could understand the appeal of fresh air and warm sun for those that could handle it, after a nice massage or sauna... "What a wonderful place."

Another elf was waiting for their arrival, wearing a green set of robes, similar blonde hair, though darker a shade and their features decidedly softer. They outstretched an arm towards a changing area, nodding. "Welcome. Feel free to remove your clothing inside the provided areas. We've prepared robes for you to wear, if you require them. Not all are comfortable traipsing about this place in the nude, so dress to your levels of comfort."

Lavinia certainly was not comfortable walking around buck naked with all of her scars, getting flustered for a moment at the thought before moving to take a stall and lose her armor. "R-Right, I'll just... Mmn, I'll be out in a few minutes. This will take some time to remove."

"Certainly, certanily. Your beds have been prepared this way," the elf gestured past the stalls to a moderately walled off section of the tree, a smaller circular entryway leading into a room where the massage beds could be seen just poking past. "Whenever you are ready, please make your way over and lay down on your stomach. We will begin with your shoulders and back." They nodded and bowed slightly, turning to leave for the little entryway. "If you've any questions before we begin, do not be afraid to ask."

"Wh, d-date? I'm not-- this isn't-- Shut up..." Nisha grumbled out some frustrated noises, shaking her head. "We're acquaintances at best... Met you in a buried magical labyrinth surrounded by crazy automatons and some, ridiculously strong mages. None of that made sense, by the way." She huffed again and despite being clearly uncomfortable, walking about in plain view, started after Susan. It took her a moment to catch up, still holding her arm, shrinking into herself some. "Church is fine... I dunno which one they'd have here, though. It's closer to Vaia, so... Prolly Hess. Coteon occupation doesn't look like it's hit Chiaca, yet."

As they came out of the alley and out towards the central streets, Nisha felt herself instinctively shrinking behind Susan, having to course correct a few times to remain at her side. "As for gold... I'm pretty poor right now, too, but I can at least get... You, something nice to eat, if you need it. I should be fine for another week or so with what I ate last." Her body was good for that, at least. "And... Are you and those others, really... From centuries ago? You even said, whose names you shouldn't be taking in vain, these days... You've really been trapped down there that long, huh?" It was mind boggling to her that people would still be alive after all that time had passed.

"Time to see what we can find~" Asami tugged Bladen along into Chiaca proper, going down a few streets, intentionally avoiding central street since, even if their general goods would be fine enough, anything specialty would definitely be marked up. As they walked through the town, her eyes did catch another fortune telling service, but they didn't linger there for long. Pushing past it, it seemed that Chiaca did have one lovely looking jewellery store off the beaten path. A sign read, Diamonds Are For Some Time, which felt like a terrible sales pitch, but the place looked well kept and the items they were showing off from the windows were definitely real.

"Let's look in here first~ And if there's nothing interesting, we can head towards the trade guild and see if someone's brought something quaint in... Come on, come on~" Still leading, Asami dragged Bladen through the doors, the tiled floor clacking against her sandals as she brought her walking to a stop to take in the place. A pair of old eyes stared at the two from behind the counter, hidden ever so faintly behind some very round glasses.

"Ah, a good day to you two. My name is Jules; a pleasure to make your acquaintance. What may I be able to help you find in my small shop." It was small, certainly, but shelved were necklaces and bracelets, rings in display cases, neat and intricate metallic works for the arm displayed as well. "I'm sure we've plenty to suit either of you." Jules gently adjusted his glasses and pushed an errant strand of his rather full head of grey hair back into place, only for it to spring out a moment later. He didn't notice.

"I-- I'm going in! Don't rush me. Goodness..." Miz huffed towards Seilan and crossed her arms, storming into the blacksmiths without another moment's pause, pushing the door open with some effort... Big bob was still there, still working, at what seemed to be some large beast's tooth, glancing up as folks made their way into his store.

He had been about to address the elf that had wandered in when another customer pushed through the door. "Oh... Hello, little one. Erm... My apologies for assuming, but..." Bob spoke slowly, but clearly, having no issues speaking in common. "You may wish to wait until you've grown up before you look to purchase such weaponry."

Miz felt her entire face twitch, but she took a deep breath and calmed down, no longer afraid of the orc, at least. "I'm not a child, though I suppose I cannot blame your assumption... I am just here to browse. Weaponry was never my forte, even when I was properly sized."

Bob was clearly confused, looking past her towards Seilan, hoping for some sort of explanation. "Oh... Er... Uhm... Are you, her... Er, friend?" He'd almost said chaperone, but he didn't want to offend a customer.

Miz did her best to continue ignoring his comments, tapping a finger against her chin and looking the weaponry on sale over. "Mundane, but... It seems the base level of weaponry hasn't degraded, at least... Hmmm..."

"Er, mm. My apologies, miss. I, well..." He lowered his voice to a whisper, the twitch from moments ago scaring him ever so slightly, "I was worried that a child had wandered into my store. This place is a bit too dangerous for someone so young, but... I do not wish to contest her claims and it seems she has a chaperone, so all should be well. Ahem, ahem." He went back to a normal speaking voice, giving Ilvira a toothy grin. "I do believe that I am capable of repairing almost anything you should bring in. If it's magical in nature, then a single day may be a stretch, but do let me see the weapon before I claim impossibilities."

"Goo' mornin'...~" The fox yawned and leaned up, staring Ayane in the face with a big smile... Before gasping! "Princess! Oh geez~!" She didn't really move to escape, merely flopping back onto the bar counter and squirming some. "Nooooo, I'm gonna get caaauuuught... This is terrible... Mmmm, Mistress Ouka said she didn't care if I went out to drink, buuuuuuut... I didn't think I'd run face first into you..." She whiiiined, her tail swishing slowly and lazily, finally sitting back up and pouting at Ayane, a finger swirling around the rim of her mead's tankard.

"Heyyyy... Maybeeeee, you can forget that you saw me and we can, just... Go our separate ways? That'd be great... I think... eheheheh..."

Ariana couldn't quite believe what was occurring in front of her, slowly making her way into the bar.

The barkeep glanced over at the cavalcade of women coming in, quickly going about cleaning a few more mugs to get ready for any orders.

"Pretty please, Ayane...?" The fox, Chihaya, as Mae had mentioned, smiled sheepishly, her face rosy, clearly drunk. Several strands of her green hair slipped in front of her face, but she made no motion to fix them.

A spectacles bearing fellow stared up at Nashwa as she asked her question, his thick, round lenses making his brown eyes seem much larger than they were. He was balding, early, it seemed, as his hair was still full of color on the sides, also brown. He was short, decked out in robes, and wore a mustache that spread out across his face and down his chin. No beard, though...

"A set of armor like that? No, no no, we didn't take that. You must be coming in looking for that group of fellows. We agreed to a trade for the shield, though," he mentioned, pointing behind the main counter at the slab leaning against the wall. "It was unique enough that we found it a good trade for a skill scroll we had on hand. Great Shield. Ironic! Haha, mm, yes, but the armor, it was far too specific for us to come to an agreeable trade... Considering your features, I assume these pieces belonged to you and they have been stolen? I'm sorry for your loss. Best of luck!" He remained a moment in case she had other questions, but he was also holding a ledger in his hands with a still wet quill, clearly having things to do.

Jade followed along as they were led up the stairs and passed off to a different elf, clad in green. The use of the tree as architecture was no less stunning as they continued to travel, the branch leading outside was sure to be some sort of an option, though, not likely one to be exercised for their particular services. Aromatherapy worked better in a room with controlled air circulation. Not that it couldn't be done outdoors, but controlling for all those variables...

As Lavinia expressed a sense of admiration for the establishment, the zombie couldn't help but echo the sentiment. "Truly, I would have felt guilty if I hadn't spent anything, assuming the delivery matches the ambience they've built up for us here."

Then following the directions given, she moved to one of the changing stalls, and began disrobing. There was some hesitation in removing the ribbon around her neck, hiding the absolute worst of her scars, but after some second thoughts, off it came. The robe looked comfortable, felt comfortable, but... the masseuse would need to work on her anyway, and there wasn't anything Lavinia hadn't seen of her body by this point, so all she had to do was leave her stall before the star, and lay down on her designated bed quickly, before Astraea had finished changing and had the opportunity to catch any glimpses.

Still, it was one thing to resolve it, and another to do it, and so Jade ended up carrying the robe with her, folded up, hanging over her arm in front of her, providing a minimal modesty as she made her way to her destination. And it would serve her well for transit on the way back, after the massage was done, a secondary benefit she hadn't consciously planned for at first, but realized quickly after the first couple paces out from the safety of the stall, feeling a bit more exposed than she had thought it would seem to be.

The grumbling protestations and sense of embarrassment her off-hand comment seemed to cause Nisha struck in a Susan a queer sense of confusion. Especially when juxtaposed to the sense of hurt and betrayal the shade's previous comments had given her reason to believe was the other's baseline. Well, she owed it to her 'acquaintance at best' to put to bed any misunderstandings.

"Sorry, turn of the phrase. I have no expectations in that regard, and you shouldn't either. Just, was joking to lighten the mood, you know? You had seemed like you'd every bit as much reason to know, it appeared as if you were just as jaded as I, that you knew 'romance' was something that only exists in fairy tales. In real life, everyone wants something from you, and sometimes that something just happens to be..." a shrug here, but things should have become perfectly clear now. No need to be gauche and go any further. "I don't desire that from anyone, not any more. But if I need to to get what I want... I guess it's not off the table." Perhaps that was more truth than she needed to drop here, time to change the subject.

"You are right there on at least one thing, though. The doll-maker being sealed up along with the rest of us doesn't make any sense... and I can't believe she and the red devil have set aside their differences, and both seem to be ignoring me, or maybe even have legitimately forgotten. But who am I to look that gift horse in the mouth?" Then there were a few moments of dead air, with Nisha moving to fill that void with background noise, which was fine until.

'Prolly Hess.'

One of the most unlikely of names possible for gods of the new pantheon. Susan couldn't help but stop suddenly, then feel a thump as Nisha continued walking right into her. "Ah, sorry," she mumbled, and the lurched back into motion, a bit detached from reality, as her mind whirred, and she tried to figure out if this was impossible coincidence or actually something even stranger. Again her wraith companion tried to fill the void with speech, and some of it passed through her entirely, but at the mention of food her stomach gave the most unfortunate of growls, and a rare wave of embarrassment took hold of Susan. She sighed and hoped that Nisha hadn't heard, and maybe that was true, as the other asked the unrelated question, 'What happened really', (well not exactly those words, but that meaning, more or less). An escape rope of sorts, and far be it from the magi to let that slip past her, when she could use it to help divert attention.

"Look, tens of years, hundreds of years, I couldn't answer definitively from anything I've seen just yet. But yeah, either enough time has passed for people to have completely redrawn the map, or maybe a council of wizards rewrote the fabric of reality, or perhaps the whole lot of us just died and were reborn in another world. Together. In some twisted replica of her tower..." It sounded more and more fanciful the longer she drew it out. "The razor of truth is tending to suggest the former, though," Susan sighed and shrugged. "Sweet Myrreenthia, though, the shock of seeing my sister's doppleganger... it really has been hard to process. But I'm forced to come to grips with it, as long as I draw breath I've got to keep moving forward."

Susan stopped and stared up and down the streets. She'd been walking with only vague sense of destination, but the interruption had jolted her out of autopilot, and now she wasn't quite sure which way was best. What would Hess, of all people, have chosen to adorn her houses of worship? What sorts of holy symbols were in vogue these days? What traditions, what expectations? Was it confession, penance, flagellation, ablation, indulgences? A slight wave of dizziness, with dark despondence threatening to advance, and she had to shake it off.

"...Where are we?" A question unconsciously slipped from her lips.

Just walking along with Tali and Agni was the most fun that Marina had had in what felt like an eternity. There was just so much to partake in; magic, weaponry, other doodads that Marina couldn't quite place. The atmosphere of Chiaca was so incredibly different from that of Border or even the fortress town. It was almost hard to believe that things could be this lively, and it was starting to make a spot of hope for Marina.

Almost as soon as she posited about the whereabouts of the others, Lucille and Seilan, along with the two new monsters from the labyrinth came into view. Lucille appeared to be looking at clothing--hadn't she just gotten something from border--and Seilan appeared to be shielding the smaller red monster from... something. It didn't last long as they eventually made their way inside. "Well, that didn't take long..." Marina felt a pang of anxiety upon seeing the red-turned-lavender haired woman; dragging her thoughts back to the labyrinth, and what she'd almost done. No, maybe anxiety wasn't the right word; she surely was anxious, but a single glance over at Tali made the feeling worse. If she hadn't been caught, and then shouted at...

No. Not now. Marina grasped at the thoughts, and wrestled them away. She was here, still here, and that was the past. It had to become the past. She had jumped, she knew she did, but she now felt like she had something to hold onto. First, Lucille's hand, and then now, Tali's, and perhaps even Yukari's in the future. Even acknowledging that... she wasn't ready to have to speak with Lucille again. She looked around, and quickly her eyes fell on a fortune telling place. She squeezed Tali's hand, "Hey, Tali, Agni, look there's a fortune teller there. Maybe we can find out something in store for us here~" Marina surprised herself with her level of enthusiam. "If not we can continue with our original idea, and find some clothes. L-lucille's got a good eye; she'd probably help."

Lucille laughed nervously at Aimee's remark; it was much more true than she would have liked it to have been. Then Aimee pulled out a, in her words, skort. Lucille stared at the odd skirt in front of her. It was a rather ridiculous fusion of a pair of a shorts, and a skirt; giving the wearer all the benefits of wearing shorts, and the fluttering feeling of a skirt. Lucille quite appreciated shorts, but rarely wore them due to being unable ride safely while wearing them, and difficulty finding them both in her size and in a cute enough style. Not only would it keep her covered for riding, it was cute, in her colors, and looked like it would fit her. Lucille blinked, staring at the garment in bewilderment.

"I... wow. How on Xensat would..." She jumped a bit realizing that she was gawking quite hard. "Oh, uh, sorry. I'm just... do you by chance have like... a changing room or something around here? I would like to try that on if I could. I am also interested in other skirts as well, but... I, need, to see how this works, and feels. It might fit but... sensitive skin, so may I?"

Ayane couldn't believe how casual this fox was taking this, then again Asami was a little eccentric too. Normally, Ayane would love to take the initiative and force out info from her, but she asked herself one question: What would Ren do?

She turned back to her party. "Get comfortable, everyone." Then she took a seat next to the fox. "Truth be told I'm not in a fighting mood for once, but with that in mind I simply can't let you leave without something. So how about this..." She looked her in the eye. "Let's just have a discussion, and if we're both satisfied by the end of it we can both just walk away. I'll even buy you another drink, what do you say?"

Well, well, Mae had been quick to give up the details on this fox. A quick lead if anything, far lucrative for a leisure walk. "Huh. Good job." Ayane planned to keep the fox in their company, though sparing the town the commotion of arms, a likely wise choise.

"A free drink? You're too kind, Lady Ayane." For Taiyou, she'd do her part buttering up the fox, taking a seat next to the two... leaving room for Mae to join, if she wished.

"Mm, you'd give up your little bodyguard so readily, sister? I'm not particularly lacking, but I might just take the offer if it comes from you." Smiling to herself, Nessraya kept the teasing comments, matching the leisure she wanted to experience. "Ah, but yes, the full body treatment as well." Turning to their receptionist, Nessraya followed along her sister's steps. "Let's."

"P-please, you two... haah..." With an exasperated sigh, Fyl followed along. "Yes, yes... Good to be here again, a full body massage for each."

They were certainly not lacking in choice in Chiaca. Agni spotted a storefront of interest to him in passing, though for now the girls were the priority.

"Hm?" It wasn't very hard to see that interacting with the others was a bit much for Marina right now, and she was by no means alone --between her and Taliyah, Agni almost felt like he'd have to take the front should Lucille and the others approach. "A fortune, huh? Can't say I've taken much stock on those in the past." For a moment, Agni crossed his arms. "I'm quite curious what they have to say of you, Marina. Either they will give up their charade if a fake... or something interesting is bound to be said." Why not? If the establishment name was anything to go by, it wouldn't weigh on their coffers either.

"How about it, Taliyah? Want your fortune told?"

Seilan entered the store, not far behind Miz; there was an assortment of weaponry around, and he knew enough to know that it was a decent selection. Better than any of the stalls outside, without question; it was honestly rather impressive that some of the equipment was available despite the country's ostensible state of occupation. There was... also an elf here, a familiar one; Ilvira, if he recalled correctly, though in truth the two hadn't spoken before.

He cleared his throat, rather awkwardly, as Big Bob made his comments. It was plain enough that Miz was rather miffed at his words, and it seemed a suitable enough approach to not further provoke her. Misbehavior would be troublesome, after all, even with her assumedly diminished capacity for... well, all manner of things. "I... yes. We're, ah... acquainted, and I'm... accompanying her. I'm not much for this type of weaponry, myself, so I'll just be around. That's alright, I hope?" Interestingly enough, Miz had refrained from further (outward) fear of the orc; he supposed he could consider himself lucky in that regard.

He crossed his arms, moving out of the doorway and leaning on the wall near the door. Undoubtedly Xetketh wouldn't be far behind Miz, and he didn't intend to be in the way.

"Ah, heh. Guess you're taking the lead again. Not that I'm complaining, mind. You've probably got a better eye for jewelry anyways." He followed her, entering the shop and glancing around. There was quite the selection, jewels sparkling throughout, and an older man behind the counter. "Good day to you, Jules. I'm looking for something to compliment my lovely girlfriend here. I don't have anything specific in mind, but it seems like you have some beautiful items." Bladen disengaged from Asami with a small squeeze as he did, starting to wander around, looking at his options.

I can't go with a ring, not right now... There's too much wrapped up in all of that. Though maybe I get one for later... Just in case. He continued looking over his options, passing over a couple of bracelets before pausing, looking at a rack of necklaces. Towards the back, there was one that caught his eye. Reaching out, he pulled the pendant free from the others, before looking over at Asami. "I think I found it." He held the necklace out to her for inspection, a diamond the size of a thumbnail in the shape of a heart, clear but with streaks of pink running through, held in place by two black metal wings on a delicate silver chain. "Do you like it?"

Astraea went into the changing room, somewhat unsure of what all she should do. This was all foreign to her, like so much in the world, but she was so happy to be included in this that she didn't want to bring it up. Eventually she made her way out in her robe, laying on the table at the end of the row, unsure of what else to do. Hopefully things would become clear.

Nashwa took a look behind the man addressing her, and sure enough, that was exactly her shield resting against the wall. She couldn't mistake something custom-made for her that she'd used for decades before! The man's flippancy when it came to her gear being stolen was a little irritating, commiserations or not, but she figured that was to be expected. It wasn't his business, yet if she wanted to get her shield back, then it would be his business, very much so. "Alright, that's a lot of what I wanted to know, but that gives me some more questions." The succubus knew this was going to be a longshot, considering her current lack of assets, but... A sigh escaped her, having to take the slim chance regardless. "What do you want for the shield? And is there anything more you can tell me about the... 'fellows'?" As much as she knew she was looking for a group of thieves heading to Hwein, she didn't actually know who they were or what they looked like. Her armor was a good enough identifier before, but if they were starting to get some of the pieces sold off, that wouldn't suffice going forward.

Though the others made their way inside shortly after her, Ilvira kept her attention on Big Bob, as much as Miz's stature and disposition were seemingly flustering him. She nodded to his request, glancing down to her scabbard, taking it off of her belt instead of pulling the sword out to keep misunderstandings out of the matter, and held it out for him to take a look. Not yet sure if she could get things resolved before they would get worse, the elf kept a level face until the blacksmith said one way or the other. "I am aware it is indeed somewhat magical in nature, but it may not necessarily extend to the entire blade. I am no expert in smithing, however, so if you would please appraise it yourself, sir." She slowly tapped her foot, not quite noticing she was doing it. The possibility that she would have to postpone this further made her quite nervous...

"Still don't get why you did, but whatever... Let's go." Tundyssa started off towards the center of town, however quickly noticed the princess wasn't moving. She watched as the redheaded princess' face disappeared behind her twintails, unsure as to why she suddenly felt the need to hide her face. Then, as the word 'beautiful' left her lips, the dragon suddenly froze in her tracks. A compliment from Coteon's princess would normally be hard enough to swallow, but as she continued to speak Tundyssa was forced to confront a truth that she had been vehemently denying for a multitude of reasons. There's no way this is how she feels! She's a human, Coteon's princess, and I'm a Monster, one of Vaia's princesses! There's no way a human could feel that way about me! I know Hess wants me to somehow bridge the gap, but there's still no way!

However, as much as she denied it, Tenna was very clearly, so much so that the ever dense dragon could see it, entirely serious. "I..." She was at a loss for words, unable to deny the truth as it sniffled in her face; no matter how hard the dragon wanted to. More worrying than that truth, however, was that past her hatred of Coteon and its humans some part of her was happy that someone, other than Nala, felt that way about her. Maybe it was the remnants of her low self-esteem, but it felt nice to be desired regardless of the fact that it was Coteon's princess. Yet still, she would resist. "Th, There's no way that's how you feel about me, right? I mean, I'm a Monster, you're a human princess..." Unbeknownst to the dragon her cheeks had taken on a slight pink tint to them while her tail flailed in panic behind her.

Amera's lack of confidence was plain to see, almost to a worrying degree. She wasn't that imposing, was she? Sure, she was a Helhound, taller than the catwoman, and well built, but that was no reason to think Amera couldn't win. Something about the fight in a dog rather than its bark and all that. Though, maybe for Amera's sake she should hold back a little. It wasn't like this was a life or death situation, just a friendly spar to get to know the other brawler in the group. The two labyrinth dwellers were pleased to watch the soon to be spar, Amera even managing to rouse herself a bit as she entered their corner of the sparring area.

"Simple's best for a warmup, yeah." Ember answered as she followed after her. The Helhound did her best to keep her gaze respectful as she gave the cat a once over, sizing her up. The woman was small and lithe, but also truly attractive. Especially so with less clot-- Ember shook her head, squaring up across from Amera. Bad. It's been a while, but now's not the time to think about that. After the sparring match at least. "Well, if you want me to go first I will. Brace yourself." With no other warning Ember lunged forward and threw a hook at the cat at about half-power.

"What caused a divergence in the Changed to branch out into these new species? The lack of magic in the world? Evolution? Or would it be devolution?" Xetketh's scholarly interest had been truly piqued, rattling off theories as to the cause of these new changed as well as what sort of changed that could theoretically now exist. She made to ask Seilan another question, but only then did she realize she had been left to her own ramblings just outside the doorway while Miz, Seilan, and a third had entered this 'Big Bob's Best Buys'. She quickly entered after, witnessing the tail end Miz's debacle with he who was most likely Bob. An eye glared at him from behind her head, cowed by his stature while its master was not; the rest took to looking around his store, individually looking at weapons that caught their interest. Xetketh had no current need for them, so she let them gaze as they please. "What was it that you wanted to observe here, Miz? The quality of weapons? Or were you hoping that there would be magic weapons for you to evaluate?"

Lavinia had donned her robe after taking the time to remove herself from her armor, following a moment after Jade and making sure the thing was shut tight, at least enough for her to walk the hall without anyone, not even Jade, sneaking a peek. "Honestly, I understand it, but... To be this defenseless, it upsets me." She grumbled a moment before finally reaching their bedded room, swiftly taking the garment off enough to lay down on her stomach, but not before deftly fastening it around her waist to cover her backside. With a final grumble, she laid down to rest, sighing. "How does anyone do this without embarrassment, Jade? Unless that is the point. If my blood were still running my face would be bright red..."

Astraea joined them in another moment, leaving the three of them laying there, moderately nude, waiting for--

"Then, we shall begin." The elf from before bowed at the doorway as three others of similar description walked in, one placing the lovely aromatic scents Jade had asked for, on a table next to the zombie. Without any further words, the three elves began to work their hands into their bodies, starting at the shoulders and methodically working their way down. Lavinia, unable to feel any of the pain that might've been associated with taught or knotted muscles, simply began to melt into the bed. "Never mind... I understand, completely... I'm amazed this feels so good..."

"... You're weird," Nisha mumbled in response to everything Susan had rattled off. From the correcting of meanings to her frustrations over their new companions setting aside differences, Nisha was surprised Susan was willing to share it all. Weren't they just acquaintances, at best? She shrugged and didn't say anything else about the woman's words, save for a burning curiosity towards the name 'Myrreenthia'. "What's this, this Myrr... Whoever, you've mentioned? And your sister's doppleganger... I guess if we're walking together, I'll do the minimum of being honest with my curiosities." Susan seemed to live in her own little world, also getting lost enough in her head to suddenly ask where they were.

"We're past the central street where they do all the main sales in Chiaca. It's a big, long, bazaar, so I want nothing to do with it. If it's a church of Hess... Yeah, this way." Nisha led her along through side streets, avoiding alleys despite her aversion to sun, until a church, steeple roof and coloured glass windows, stood tall among other homes and businesses. Atop the large double doors that made up its entrance sat a wooden carving of a lamia, a rather large and imposing one, coiled and sitting, their hands crossed in an X shape over their body. "This'd be her church... They call her the world serpent, said all monsters were birthed from her... I guess, if this whole business of yours with the other two is real, then it's phony. But, that's what religious monsters worship... I've never put any stock into her. If you wanna go inside, be my guest. I'll wander in, I suppose... It's not like being in a church will set me on fire."

"Ah, pardon me," a voice spoke out from behind the two women. There stood a middle aged man in flowing white robes, red and gold trimming adorning the fabric, with the symbol of an intricate sword plastered onto the chest of his well woven outfit. His face rested without a smile nor a frown, wrinkles across his forehead the only sign of his age. Eyes unsunken, full beard well kept, a rather luxurious head of blonde hair and an impressive moustache that connected into it all, he stood there, arms folded, bowing slightly to the two of them. "I had wished to enter, but got lost in my thoughts and almost walked into the both of you. My apologies. If you wouldn't mind, though."

"Uh, y-yeah, sure..." Nisha stepped aside to let him pass, the individual rising from his bow and entering the church before them. "Fancy guy... Looked human, though. No idea what he's... Wait, huh?" Nisha clued in too late, the doors closing behind the man. "That was a symbol of the Ilrios church on his robes. What's he doing here? Uhhhh..." Things weren't exactly great between the churches currently, obviously, so what could he possibly...

"Fortune teller?" Taliyah turned her head towards the sign. Fortunes Foretold (almost) Freely. "What a weird name... But, sure!" Tali didn't wait, taking Marina's hand and bounding into the place, hoping Agni was in tow. As soon as they entered, though, the room grew infinitely dark, Taliyah squeaking in panic! "Wah! I-Is this part of the fortunes?" Everything was pitch black... Slowly, small lights began to flutter into view. Small, blue, floating about in erratic patterns... Taliyah squinted, before smiling. "Butterflies!"

The room's light suddenly began to return as the butterflies amassed, the blue hue coating them all, a small table coming into view. There sat a feminine figure, covered by a shawl, hands undulating about a crystal ball. "Welcome~ Welcome, welcome... Taliyah. Marina. You may call me... Mistress Nagisa. I can only assume that the two of you are here to see your futures. You, especially, Marina. You have quite the special air about you. One that I can barely perceive... Yet there it remains, a thin thread upon the web of fate. Shall we see where it leads...~?"

Taliyah was quite entranced, almost pushing Marina forward. "This sounds super fun... This whole show has a lot of work put into it, huh? And she even knows our names! She must be a real psychic!"

Aimee stood herself up and within a single minute, several stands and curtains had been pushed and drawn to make a changing room in the middle of the street right next to her stall. "My apologies that it's not perfect, but if you wish to try on the merchandise before purchase, I must provide what I can. Not a single person will peep, not even myself! And if anyone tries, they'll get a thorough slapping from yours truly~" She gave Lucille a wink, hoping it would be enough to entice the girl to make the sale.

Chihaya shrank as her angles of escape were all cut off, letting out a pathetic little whimper... That faded away slightly at the prospect of more booze. "Mmhnnnghnmhnmnmnmnmnmn..." A frustrated grumble left her, finally sighing and flopping onto the bar. "Another drink, buddy~" She'd given up. Mae could barely stifle her laughter, sitting on the other side of Taiyou, holding her stomach.

"What a mess of a shard you are~" She sighed, glad that this group continued to be amusing.

Ariana didn't sit down, too worried about what another Kitsune being here meant. Asami hadn't said anything, as far as she had heard. "Troubling..."

"Alllllllright, new best buddy, what can I tell ya~? Drink first, though! Oh, ohhh and, uh, nothing that will betray my trust with Ouka, of course~ She's still in charge, mhmm." Chihaya said as much incredibly casually, despite the drunken nature of her appearance.

The party of an unfortunate fairy and the Tryxyss sisters were led along through another door on the bottom floor, an elf taking Fyl aside for a moment before Meridrya stopped them, "it's fine if he comes with us. He won't do anything." Perhaps to the fairy's terror, the elf made no complaints, letting Fyl be dragged along to a similar area as the undead were experiencing. Meridrya wasted no time in removing her robes and clothes as she stepped into the changing room, setting everything down and donning the provided robe. In but a minute's time, she was down to nothing but it, walking along to the bed that had been pointed out. "Come along, Fyl, Nessraya. Let's get that stress worked out of it." She yawned a little and, once inside the room, took off her robe and laid down, eyes clothes, getting ready for one heck of a massage.

"Ohhh... This is..." Bob gingerly raised the sword, as careful with it as one would be with a baby. "Quite the weapon... Hmmmmm..." He placed it down without a sound and then placed his hand on his chin, stroking it, deep in thought. "I've... A bit of mythril, in storage. It would likely give this some longevity, but... It would take a truly master craftsman to repair this completely. Mmm..." He let out a beleaguered sigh and grumbled some. "I simply don't have the skill to fix this completely... Mmm, you might have luck in Tapotlan. There's a famous family of blacksmiths there... The Gardenia family. The last I heard, they were retired, but such a blade might push them to work again... If you wish it, I can attempt to fix this as much as I can. I'll be finished by nightfall. And, I won't charge you. I couldn't possibly, not for an unfinished work... If you'd like that, you can leave it here."

He nodded over towards Seilan with a small smile, not bothered by window shoppers.

"Whatever it was, it's quite a divergence. That being barely has any magic within it at all... What kind of Changed could possibly exist without magic to their name? Perhaps that's why it has so many muscles." Miz mused alongside Xetketh, shaking her head and looking back along the wall. "I'd hope there would be something magical here, and I can feel faint energies from some of them, but most of them appear to be quite mundane... But that's fine. Humans need weapons. Evidently, some Changed do too, now. They are of fine make. I'm glad that everything hasn't degraded, even if magic has." She sighed, walking up to one of the swords and taking it off the shelf-- "Hrrk!" It was far too heavy for the poor demoness, hilt staying in her hand but blade sinking to the floor, Miz letting out a flustered and embarrassed noise. "D-Dammit..."

Asami's tail fluttered about as Bladen went through his options, peeking over his shoulder from time to time, almost like a kid in a toy shop, barely containing her amusement. She was almost disappointed when Bladen started talking about being aimless with nothing specific in mind, but lit up as soon as he actually picked something. "Do I like it~? You know I'd like anything you pick for me... It's definitely a little on the nose, though. Hmhmhm."

Jules was on point with a mirror ready, Asami holding it up against her collar and giving herself a few looks over. "Mmmm... I must say, it does suit me, quite a bit... It'd suite a few of the other women here as well, but... I think it's lovely~ Jules! Ring us up~"

"I'm quite pleased to hear you are happy with his choice, miss." Jules smiled with genuine joy, always pleased to see a couple satisfied. "As our jewelry is non magical, you are paying for the craftsmanship that has gone into it. Two hundred gold will suffice for such a purchase. If the lady would like to wear it out, once you have paid, you may be my guest and do so."

"Really? That cheap? I suppose non-magical gems are a dime a dozen in such a country... Could it be enchanted, should we wish it to be?"

"I do believe so, yes. Gems are quite the vessels for magic, so should you find someone skilled enough, I suggest you give it a try."

"Do you hear that, Bladen~ What a gift you've given me..." Asami smiled, but something was clawing at the back of her mind. A feeling. A sensation. It didn't show on her face, but she was beginning to grow worried. Why do I feel her magic? And why only now? I would've been able to tell if she was this close... Am I just getting paranoid? It's so faint... Is it just a trace...?

"What do I want for the shield? What do you have for trade? Surely you understand where you are." He adjusted his glasses with the tiniest, quietest little huff. "As for the other men, I cannot break customer confidentiality, even if they may be thieves. This is still a business, after all... mmmrh." He grumbled a moment, sighing almost imperceptibly. "But you didn't hear this from me. It was three men. All dressed in various black clothes; jackets, hates, pants, leathers, belts. All covering their skin. I believe them to be vampires, and I believe you should be careful. Now, if you've nothing to trade for the shield, you'd best be off. We don't broker in information, here."

"And so what if we are, huh!?" Tenna said, finally blowing some of the emotions she'd been trying to keep hidden! "M-My, my whole life has been thrown on its head ever since you met me in that stupid house and everything I was taught is a lie and Monsters are also good people and we can get along and the church is so painfully wrong and I don't know what to do with my life anymore and I just thought we could be friends--" Tenna had to stop to breathe, taking a deep breath and coughing for a moment, shrinking down and hugging her knees. "Gods... My whole life has been nothing but a mess. Mom died. I locked myself away. I get chosen to lead some 'righteous crusade'. Find out it's all a sham... Try to make friends with another cute girl and it blows up in my stupid face, what an idiot I am! Always knew I was weird, it's weird, isn't it!? To like another woman, hhhhhh..." Tenna was almost tugging on her twintails, completely balled up, definitely calming down somewhat, but still lost in her thoughts.

"Couldn't ever tell Marina. Tell you and it's stupid and unbelievable. Nothing to my name but the teachings of a twisted church and this stupid stutter that I can't get over...!" She'd been so mad, she hadn't noticed she'd not stuttered by a moment past the first one. "Just... L-Leave me here and go into town and have a good time. I'm not worth it. I'm sorry. I'm sorry..."

Hey, where are those eyes going? Amera raised an eyebrow at her as Ember sized her up, raising her fist to guard against whatever punch Ember was going to thro-- "Guhuh!" Even at half power, the hook was enough to knock her off balance and to the side, shaking her head as things stopped ringing. "G-Geez! I tried to brace myself... Ugh, woof. You were holding back too, weren't you?" She was at least thankful for that. Years of training had taught her enough to tell when someone was, but this just showed the difference in their strengths. What am I doing here? This is so mismatched...

Amera wasn't going to walk away with her tail between her legs without trying to throw something back, taking a breath and charging the doggo, before ducking and delivering a swift punch to her gut... Which almost hurt her own hand. She quickly retreated back and gawked at Ember, almost unable to stop. "What am I punching, steel? Ugh, Gods, what are you made of? You sure this isn't just to laugh at me?" She'd done something likely in part to Ember continuing to hold back, but... This was a foregone conclusion if there ever was one.

Jade's first instinct was to reply by telling Lavinia that even without her armor she's strong, that she could put up a helluva fight. Vampire that she was, a lot of really fearsome wounds could be shrugged off, recovered from, mitigated. And maybe if it were night-time that was what she would have gone with. After all, she'd already survived the decapitation in the arena, a few towns back, hadn't she? But the zombie had an inkling that, while convenient, that particular voiced discontent didn't truly strike to the heart of the matter. And when she heard the shifting of fabric, and the sound of the tall woman lowering herself onto the massage bed to her left--the star then taking the one to her right at the end of the row--as Jade turned to give a reassuring smile, Lavinia's next complaint perhaps spoke to the truth of the matter. Disarmed of protective pride, struggling with shame and vulnerability, that must be the real bother of the moment. It was a battle the merchant understood quite well, with her own feelings of inadequacy, and tainted beauty, but it was one Lavinia had been helping her through.

"I daresay few actually seek out and hope to embarrassed, that would take a rather special kind of person," Jade snorted softly as she imagined such a scene. "Getting used to this is probably just, mmm," the zombie broke off in a groan as the elf delivering her massage first began to sink her fingers into her shoulders.  A few moments to recompose, then she continued. "Just mindset, and realization, I guess? To the establishment, this is just a transaction, and they've surely seen it all before. Even us, we're probably well within the middle band of their clientèle. And by all means, this should be a place of safety. We've enough time to let our hair down and relax a little before worrying over any possible upcoming dangers, so let's just, ahhh, yes, right there."

Maybe Jade needn't have said anything at all, as almost the same time the zombie was melting under the ministrations of the masseuse, she heard uttered an agreement from her partner, and the level of contentment in her tone... wheels started spinning in the merchant's head. She knew she wouldn't hold a candle to professionals, but perhaps with practice? It would be a nice way to give back, surely, and maybe...

"Mmm," Jade just breathed deep the soothing scents, and let herself succumb for now.

'Nothing to betray Ouka's trust, hm? That limits my questions...but I can still work with this.' "Very well." She turned to the bartender. "Two of your strongest, please. I haven't had my needed drinks recently, so this is a good opportunity anyway." The oni then turned to the fox with curiosity in her eyes. "Clearly you can't tell me where she is, but can I at least ask what you're doing here besides getting drunk under the table?" Ayane hoped the booze would loosen her lips too so it would be easier to get needed info out, but she still had to be careful on top of that.

Butterflies... It was a sight alright, and a nice change of atmosphere. "Maybe so, Taliyah. Either way, I'm sure the spectacle will be worth it. You should try it." While he wasn't as ready to believe this woman's affinity for prestidigitation had a basis in true future reading, she was certainly good at setting the mood. The company was likewise desirable.

"Hmmm... quite an uneven match." Hecate was brief with her words, watching with curiosity as Amera kept the futile attempt. "Will this make you stronger at all?"

She was still intent in observing the changed spar nonetheless, watching their every more like a curious student. "Even today, Changed can have large disparities in capabilities, hm..." But not as drastic as expected...

Bladen hummed to himself, glancing back at a ring that had caught his eye, a simple diamond caught between two swirls of silver, but he shook himself, focusing back on the things in front of him. It's too soon for any of that. You're only considering it because you're trying to find ways to hold on as tightly as you can... "That price is quite generous, thank you, sir." Bladen fished in his pocket for his gold, handing over the requested amount with a smile. Looking back at Asami, he gave a small grin and shrug. "On the nose, it's true. But anything I could have picked out would have worked wonderfully on you, so call me cheesy but I wanted a piece of me in the mix." He held out a hand, gesturing towards the door. "Shall we? I believe I owe you a backrub..."

This was an entirely new experience for Astraea. She had dreamed of many wonders, but nothing could have prepared her for this. She hadn't realized just how tight this mortal body of hers had gotten, something she had never had to think about before. As the worker began kneading into her back, pushing the knots out of her muscles, she couldn't even begin to focus on anything but the sensation she was experiencing. Her companions forgotten, she sunk into the soft bed and relished the feeling of stress being forced out of her body. She would never forget this.

Tundyssa actually flinched back from Tenna as her figurative dam burst, unleashing a torrent of bottled up emotions. The dragon didn't know what to do other than stand there and let Tenna vent at her, not daring to approach her until she'd exhausted herself and curled into a ball on the ground. "..." Even as she approached the Tenna ball on the ground her mouth remained shut, sort of awkwardly staring down at the princess for a minute or so. "I'm not leaving you here." She finally answered, pushing past the heavy weight of the silence that had overtaken them. "And you really picked the wrong person to try and make friends with. Anyone else would've been better than me. You know I hate humans." More silence followed the hollow sounding end of her statement, Tundyssa glancing aside and doing her best to not fidget in place.

"It's not weird to like girls if you are one... I like girls more than guys, myself. I'm in love with one, actually." A soft blush had taken to the dragon's face, so unused to talking about the topic that even this was enough to embarrass her. "Another dragon, back home: Nala." Even if she ought to hate me for what happened to her... "A-Anyway, does what you said really mean you f-feel like that, for m, me...?"

"This is just a warm up, yeah? Not like we're fighting to kill either, just having some fun." While it was true she was holding back, there was no point in just rolling Amera over with brute strength so she could say she won. When not used in self-defense, the entire point of fist-fighting was to entertain, hone one's body, or study and practice a style. Neither of them would learn anything from Ember running Amera over.

"Oohf!" Ember staggered in place from Amera's punch as the cat withdrew to complain about how hard her body was. She'd purposefully left her guard open, admittedly; however, following the same reasoning as before, there was no fun in a completely lopsided fight. Amera knew how to fight, clearly, she just needed to hone her body more if she wanted to rely on her fists. "Made of fire if you believe old stories, though given what I can do they're probably not that farfetched!" She lunged forward again, right arm pulled back to punch, however at the last second she pivoted then swung with her left while still remembering to keep her strength in check.

"Whatever kind it is, we appear to now live in a world with such changed as the primary demographic. It's worrying that there's so few of even the moderately magical races; not to mention that the most of them that we've seen are in this ragtag band we've found ourselves in." Xety couldn't help but sigh at their circumstances, so ineffectively powerful as she found herself. The human, this Seilan, eclipsed her current magical prowess even if he lacked even half of her knowledge and expertise. "I supposed there is some minor relief that society hasn't completely collapsed, even if it is so... lesser." As Miz approached the wall and hefted more than she could Xetketh was quick to approach, getting her hands on the hilt and lifting it before her liege was pulled to the ground under the weight of the sword. "Are you alright Miz? If you wish to observe something, I'll be more than glad to assist you."

Seilan was mildly intrigued by the work Big Bob's other customer was requesting, though he found it not quite his place to pry; and even if he had been so inclined, he was rather occupied with his impromptu charge, who was making something of a fool of herself. He'd seen a similar sight a number of times before, in the family workshop; perhaps been the one grasping the blade, once - when he was distinctly small - but he shook the nostalgia away before too long a moment. Xetketh had stepped in to resolve the situation before he'd returned to the present, so he instead raised his hand to cover his still-forming smirk under the guise of pensiveness, clearing his throat slightly.

"Just so you know, most with the gift of magical capability are at the level that you've seen so far, the peculiarities of Lucille's and my magic aside. There are, of course, adepts, those long-studied, well-practiced - and generally more aged - but innate skill as opposed to capability is something I imagine has become much rarer since your time."

He was rather glad for Big Bob being occupied in conversation at the moment; anyone overhearing their own discussion would understandably become rather confused quite quickly, and having to explain to even the most understanding of passerby was an effort he was rather uninterested in undertaking.

Taliyah agreed, and the group found their way inside. Quickly, the atmosphere for the occasion was set as the lights vanished before they were greeted by small, blue butterflies. "Whoa!" The butterflies then all converged, with the lights slowly returning as a table, and a woman appeared almost out of nowhere. A rather high level of magical control it seemed like... and more as she called to them by name, focusing more on Marina herself. Marina brought a finger to her chest, "M-me? A-a special air?" Marina couldn't help but feel a little apprehensive, but that apprehension seemed to melt away in the face of the sun that was Taliyah as she pushed her forward. She relaxed a moment before continuing, "H-how do you know our names? D-did you know that we were coming or something?" Does she know that I'm... Marina shook her head. She wasn't going to back slide now. She had Taliyah with her, and Agni at her back, and admittedly, it did sound like fun seeing where Mistress Nagisa's powers could take her. Maybe they could even give her a concrete direction to walk towards, instead of the nebulous goals that were floating about in her head.

She nodded, "I... if you can, I would like to join you in seeing where that thread leads, miss Nagisa."

Marina needed a true direction, and goal now. Defeating Coteon and freeing the continent from their influence was a worthy goal in an of itself, but she needed one for herself. One that she could hold onto when things got tough. She turned, and smiled at Taliyah; protecting her would be a good start.

Lucille found herself impressed at both the makeshift changing room, and then the speed at which she had put it together. The threat of that slap was given a lot more weight. It was still sort of in the middle of the street, but it really did seem like no one could sneak a peek, and if anyone did, they would have both Aimee's slap, and Lucille's magic to worry about. Lucille pulled her arm behind herself before she straightened herself, and pulled her arm back out. Gotta... be a little more confident. You... you can trust her... She's not out here to harm you or set you up or... "N-no, it's fine. Thank you for this." Lucille tapped her foot on the ground before she pulled herself inside the changing room.

Lucille had gotten rather good at getting in and out of her clothing in a hurry; she hated the Coteon pegasus wing standard, so she tried to wear it as sparingly as possible. Having to sortie in a hurry forced her hand many times, and changing around the others was not on her list of things to do. With quick hands, and some nervous glances around the makeshift changing area, she remove her tights, and skirt, and got the "skort" on. The first thing she noticed was that it fit near perfectly, a little snug in some places, but that was a very common occurrence and something that she didn't super mind. The lack of necessity for her tights was another of the new sensations; she was almost never without them as her compromise for riding often left her skirts just short enough that accidents could rarely occur.

She gingerly stepped out of the changing room, and took a couple steps in the skort. "...Wow, it... feels wonderful." And it still remained rather stylish on top of being perfectly functional for what she did. Lucille felt a bright smile creeping across her face. "I, uh... hmm. Could I get two of these? It's not something I'd wear all the time, but... it's a nice change of pace. So two of those... a set of the tights, and maybe a one or two of the other kind of skirt..." Lucille's head bobbed back and forth, and the smile remained. I wonder... how Seilan would think about it? That thought brought a faint blush to the diminutive mage.

Of course she'd have to make the offer herself. Problem was, there was nothing particularly valuable on Nashwa's person, save for the shotgun on her back, and that was something she could never afford to trade away as long as it was one of a kind. It'd be much easier to buy a new shield and have the same modifications done to it as the one she was now looking at. Though, if there was some way she could get that scroll from the thieves, she could maybe re-do the trade the other way around... And now she had identifying traits from someone who had just seen them earlier. "Thank you. I'll come back if I find something you could find worth trading it for," she answered, taking a quick small bow to appreciate the gesture, considering the man had nothing to gain from telling her, sharply turning away and out.

Things were getting complicated. Without her armor, it wasn't likely that the succubus could take on three vampires alone, even if she was stronger than them. She needed some kind of insurance that even if she wasn't able to negotiate some other way of getting hers back, she could make it out of things, maybe scathed, but at least intact and not captured. The easiest of such would be Nessraya, for almost every possible reason, but Nashwa had no idea where she was now or whether she'd even accept coming along to begin with. The others... well, there were a few she'd gotten to know a little, but the same problem was present. She'd have to keep an eye out for both the black-clad trio and-- hey, there's Lucille. It didn't take much of a stroll down the main street to find one such person, taking a deep breath to calm herself. Remember, Angelise. Don't slip up with that here.

Seeing as the shorter redhead was engaged in some form of business, she only came up an arm's reach away, trying to keep her expression neutral instead of slipping into a frustrated scowl. "Angelise? Don't mind me, finish what you're doing. There's something I want to talk about after."

Big Bob certainly handled the weapon with the grace of a skilled craftsman, that much was obvious to Ilvira. She had not expected the repairs to be easy or cheap, but to be offered a partial work without expense to herself was a show of generosity she would have to accept. "Blacksmiths Gardenia in Tapotlan. My thanks for the information by itself, and I would be remiss to decline such a handsome offer to go with it! Downplay not your skill in the craft, I am quite interested in seeing how one would repair the blade, partial or otherwise. My stay in the city is capable of accommodating the time, so, should it not be a bother, I would like to remain here and observe until your work is complete to the possible degree." The elf gave a bow, letting the weapon stay where it was for Bob to take to repairs. Genuine curiosity aside, her request was a convenient way to excuse sticking around, partially also to make sure nothing adverse would happen to either the blade or the blacksmith. The others would hopefully let her be for that time and leave to continue their own business soon enough.

"O-Oh! Thank you, but I shouldn't..." Fyl's surprise was clear as Meridrys mentioned he was allowed to follow, retreating with a flutter of his wings, blushing profusely.

"My sister is making a great offer here, Fyl." Ness pressed the situation, very bemused. "Besides, you're on duty to stay by her side. No harm in keeping as an escort." Smirking, she made for the changing rooms as well, returning with an appropriate robe, setting down beside her sister, with enough of a gap for one person in between, whom she signalled with a pat. "Come on over~."

What followed where the distressed, high-pitched mumbles of a fairy that knew they weren't getting out of this situation. "Haaah... a-alright." Blushing all the way, Fyl went to the changing rooms and got into his robes last, settling down between the two. Eyes closed. "Hrmmm..."

"Well, well..." Ayane seemed to have it handled, and for the most part this... shard didn't seem the brightest, still, it'd be good to provide some support in case the situation turned out a lot for the princess, whom Taiyou took a seat beside. "Very well... I'll have something lighter."

Maybe Mae would know what buttons to press... Taiyou turned to look at the oni idly, wondering if she was going to join.
