Zapp Branniglenn
So I caught a glimpse today of, honest to god, Chapter 8 from Path of Radiance. The link is timestamped. I was not aware they were doing this in Engage. I mean they even have the same enemy layout. A mob of cavaliers to the south where you'd send Ike to solo with his Regal Sword. Infantry lance units are armor knights now because I'm guessing there is no infantry lance class in Engage. I know about Emblems and reused music, but whole maps as well? How often does that happen? Feel free to spoil me with specific examples, I wanna know what made the cut.
Moonlit Knight
They are paralogues that are related to the Emblems (one for each Emblem) that are throwbacks to certain special maps for each former lord. E.g. Lucina's paralogue is the Ferox Arena map; Micaiah's is Chapter 3-13 of Radiant Dawn (the infamous defend map), etc. What you saw was Ike's paralogue. That's pretty substantial. Three Houses offered maybe a dozen unique maps in its paralogues across all routes. And if it's GBA and earlier fire emblems, then we're talking maps that were never envisioned in 3D. Show me the boat map from FE7. Or the boat map of chapter 2 of Echoes. Or the boat map from FE8. Acacia Sgt
The DLC Emblems also look like they will make use of legacy maps as well. Like, the map where you get Tiki's Emblem is basically the Ice Dragon Temple. So we can expect the rest to follow suit.
DaveCozy
That was my favorite map back in PoR, glad they remade it for Engage. Thanks for linking that video as well, I didn't even know you could save scum the RNG for bond rings. I'm curious if future challenge runs will use them due to this, and wouldn't be surprised if some players challenge themselves to not use bond rings at all. Spoiler Camilla - Conquest chapter 10 Hector - Castle Ostia or Black Fang HQ Soren - Port Toha or Serenes Forest Chrom - Emmeryn Veronica - no idea, because Heroes maps aren't iconic. Spoiler Hector's is most likely going to be the Armads Cave. Placeholder data heavily suggests this and it'd be also logical: Fire Emblem Engage: DLC Emblems, Characters & Classes (Placeholders) Found in Version 1.1.0/Base Game - Serenes Forest
