Does anyone have a translation of Rosado's japanese S support?

Hi. I'm a J->E translator so I figured I'd make an account and reply since I myself was curious about the differences, and found this thread while googling for the Japanese S supports.

Rosado's S support is mostly the same (minor differences for flavor really) until this line:

Rosado: In fact, you wouldn’t just be the cutest in your own life. You’d be the cutest in mine too.

At which point it diverges more significantly. To be clear, it's not a 1:1 translation up to this point, but it doesn't diverge enough to be significant.

Now here's how it goes from there in JP (I tried to keep it close to the original where possible, so it may read a bit awkward in spots):

ロサード

This is a pun related to the JP phrase/term "いいね" since いいね both means "that's nice" and "like" (as in, social media likes.) It's a reference to their B support (which also has the pun in JP):

Alear: S-Such enthusiasm... You're really something, Rosado.
ロサード: はい。オレはみんなの「いいね」が欲しいんですー！
Rosado: Yes. I want everyone's "いいね"!
リュール: いいね、ですか？
Alear: "いいね"?
ロサード: そうです！　オレが頑張ったこととか、綺麗だなと思ったものに対する共感…
Rosado: That's right! People responding to my hard work, things I thought were pretty and so on...
ロサード: それいいね、かわいいね、って言ってもらうとオレの嬉しさとやる気が上がるんですよー！
Rosado: "いいね", "that's so cute"... when people tell me those things, it makes me happier and more motivated!

I left いいね untranslated here just to be able to leave the JP translation as-is. Since the pun doesn't work with just the word "like," the localization team had to adapt the joke.

That's actually super interesting! I kinda assumed that it was an insertion from the localization team to make it sound like a social media thing, but that's really neat that it was actually intended. Still sounds really cringey but at least it's intended cringe XD

It's a very tricky localization choice! Another possibility would be to remove the joke/reference altogether and just keep the "positive reaction to something" vibe. In which case, a possible version of those excerpts could be, say,

Rosado: Yes. I want everyone's approval!
Alear: Approval?
Rosado: That's right! When people acknowledge my hard work, when they're moved by something I found beautiful...
Rosado: "That's so nice", "that's so cute"... when people tell me those things, it makes me happier and more motivated!

With a throwback in the S support like, say,

Alear: That's so nice.
Rosado: Huh?
Alear: It's an expression of approval, right? I, too, feel a warmth in my chest when I think of you.

There are lots of ways to go about it and it's down to personal preference in the end, but I can understand why they focused on the reference. You always have to sacrifice something when direct translations are impossible.
