Okay guys, I was planning on doing this earlier(hence the unupdated title) but I'll say it now: The recording for Enderslicer's escape is finished(yes, I actually won without a lot of help!), and so the next hack we play will be Athos Mode. I've added more to the poll again, and I've included GhebFE, so... vote for what you want, as usual!

So, here's what I'm getting for this. The Hero Crest allows us to win GUARANTEED, by getting statboosts that are permanent, but the Karma Sword gives us a luck-based way to win, but is your only hope if you don't get all the items. Is that right, Mr. Swordsmaster?

At first I thought this was necessary, but it turns out that this is the absolute wrong strategy.

You have to let him hit you on enemy phase, or you can't use your vulneraries on player phase!

Okay, here's how the fight goes. EEW can only ALMOST kill Enderslicer, and he does the exact amount of damage that our vulneraries heal.

So it's simple. Heal on your phase, let him hit you(and you hit back) on enemy phase.

Also, he gives XP when everyone else doesn't, for some reason.

Things go on like this for a while.

Finally, on Turn 29, he's ready to die! We actually had an extra turn!

Let's see what happens when the timer runs out.

Why, we randomly lose, of course!

Okay, let's finish this!

FINAL THOUGHTS:

I actually quite liked Enderslicer's escape. While the map design initially made me think of all the fail Ragefest hacks I played a while back, it was actually far better(and, as Marky said, beautiful maps don't matter nearly as much as the gameplay). Lots of thought was put into the design, and everything felt carefully planned and calculated, because it was. Having no luck to screw me over or save my butt at an opportune time was an interesting change, and it kind of reminds me of that one "your rolls always succeed" submission where the RNG really was removed, though I'm fairly certain anything like that would be impossible with the FE7 engine.

All in all, excellent hack! Especially since I had a cameo! I wish you luck with "THE MARKY JUDGEMENT".

Well everyone, I can't wait on it any longer... it seems that GhebFE HAS, in fact, won the poll. However, it's a very long hack that needs its own thread(there's no way I'm allowing this thread to be contaminated), so we'll have to wait until Reckoning AND Requiem are finished! HAH! Maybe if I'm lucky I'll get hit by a meteor before then...

For this thread, we're going to be doing another longer hack, Awful Emblem! Don't worry, it's false advertising! We have to do Athos Mode first, though, so look forward to that next time!
