I'll just give you a bunch of entry level stuff from the East Coast
big list
thanks a lot man!
as for powerviolence, i'm not sure if "The Inalienable Dreamless" by Discordance Axis and "Plague Soundscapes" by The Locust count, but i'm fond of those albums, and i'm aware of Punch because of the Deathwish connection. are there any particular powerviolence albums you'd recommend?
Discordance Axis are pretty straight grind and The Locust are just a weird band altogether. definitely check out Punch's s/t LP, it's one of my favourite pv albums from lately.
for other recommendations, i'll put out:
coke bust - fuck bar culture 7" and lines in the sand
full of hell - the roots of earth are consuming my home
siege - drop dead
rape revenge - paper cage
extortion - degenerate
iron lung - life. iron lung. death
despise you - west side horizon
capitalist casualties - s/t
man is the bastard - thoughtless
sorry if that list is a bit overwhelming. also i'm warning you now that there's a lot of far leftist (feminist, vegan, etc) themes in the genre which i know is offputting to some.

i've been getting into some east coast hip hop. so far digging illmatic, critical beatdown and it takes a nation of millions (all entry level i know, that's why i'm asking for stuff here). where do i go next? i've already got shit by wu tang (and all the associated acts) but i haven't listened to it yet. i haven't enjoyed any west coast i've heard.
also i've been listening to lots of powerviolence (larm, punch, siege, etc) if anyone's interested in talking that kind of shit with me.

F Morgan's design is cuter and her sadist personality is fucking adorable, screw y'all. Yarne likes it anyway, that's why he married her c:

is it just me or is aversa's tome hand really awkwardly drawn
aversa's everything is really awkwardly drawn
also i don't understand how people manage to change their signatures and avatars every few days, like how do you even have enough material for that shit
this avatar is the only avatar i had left on my computer from when i used forums more when i was like 15 (3+ years ago) and my signature is just a snarky line because i don't have anything more interesting to put there, and i could spend 2 hours searching for better shit for both and only might come up with a better avatar, and definitely wouldn't find something good enough for a signature

people like SN have pretty much nit the hail on the head but i think it's also worth noting that this kid is like 15 and this is probably his first break up and this is a lot of adult advice being put down here
to put it simply- this is how relationships work. it hurts. but she was respectable enough to simply end it. in return, be respectful of her decision. that's really all there is to it.
it's going to hurt for probably weeks but at risk of being callous- you'll get over it. again, that's just how this stuff works. keep your chin up.

oh, jacula? jacula are cool as hell. didn't even think of them.
one more video for tonight:

i can't put my finger on what you're talking about, but this song came to my head for some reason. no black metal riffs or nothing but noisy, dark stuff from 1970. unfortunately my knowledge of music tends to cut off around 1968.
-
that's indeed the band with Carl Palmer, but i think he only played on their debut.
i can think of several bands that wrote Sabbathesque riffs in the late 60's, but that much information doesn't bring anything to mind about the early 60's.
-
proto metal so it's relevant.

the title of this thread made me throw up in my mouth a little

i was just talking to a friend about swano's stuff last night since he's going back through edge of sanity's discography.
i haven't dug through his entire backlog (cus holy fuck) but pan.thy.monium and infestdead are top fucking quality. early edge of sanity is pretty good but around purgatory afterglow they start getting really inconsistent with the albums being 50/50 with good/bad parts or worse imo.

honestly being completely clean shaven is kind of unattractive to me
it's like the person hasn't hit puberty yet and it makes me uncomfortable
also my beard takes priority over romantic partners

some of the natures are iffy- lax?
using unaware over magic guard on clefable is awful if you're doing a life orb set. one of the biggest reasons LO clefable is so cool is because magic guard negates that recoil- not to mention holy fuck is magic guard a rad ability
hidden power having its bp reduced to 60 means that unless you're doing 4x super effective damage you almost always are better off with either your stab or a neutral/2x se move.
for example:
+2 0 SpA Cloyster Hidden Power Fighting vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Ferrothorn: 134-158 (38 - 44.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKOas opposed to
+2 252 Atk Cloyster Icicle Spear (5 hits) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Ferrothorn: 200-240 (56.8 - 68.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKOyou'd be better off using razor shell for another stab or even rock blast for more coverage on cloyster. greninja has a fuck ton of coverage moves so anything from grass knot to extrasensory will work on that guy. volcarona can run roost, sub, or some coverage move.consider low sweep over mach punch and bullet seed over seed bomb on breloom, but that's preferencein general, never melt ice, fist plate, etc are bad because they give way too low of a boost to way too few moves. consider items like expert belt or wise glasses if you're not capable of getting more leftovers, LO's, etcsticky web is definitely a good idea on galvantula- toxic is your only status so you won't want to drop that, thunder is the better stab between that and bug buzz, so it's basically down to you to drop bug buzz or protect. again, preference. -
yummy.

not yet
it'll start sucking as soon as someone whips it out

no but saying "good sir" in a fake posh british accent was kinda fun when i did it ironically when i was like 15 but if i hear anyone saying it now it just puts me off, even if it is ironic

a lot of swordmasters (rutger, karel, joshua) have really tired LOOK HOW BADASS I AM personality. it loses value if it's done over and over again.
i voted marisa because i find her awkward personality to be endearing and because she has been pretty good to fantastic every time i've used her.

*pre deathened thrashgaze sexual
something something vaporware joke
-
but what is life without obsessively catergorizing things that don't matter
-
i joke about my sexuality a lot (lol i like dicks) but it's only been recently that i even considered identifying myself as bi
i mean i had brief stints of being bi curious when i was like 15 or some shit (which in relative isn't really that long ago) but the idea of actually being attracted to men was something that only recently occurred to me. before it was more like "you know every other guy is like "ew icky other dudes are gross" and i'm just like "meh" which made me feel separated i guess
and i mean dicks alone have reached such a state of comedy in popular culture that it's p hard to take them seriously without some kind of context attached to them- but i suppose if you took out the part about it being comical you could say that about any body part really
tldr i don't know my sexuality but i'd prolly fuck you and also i ramble and don't make sense

around 11 or 12 i got into motorhead and black sabbath which started the downward spiral of metal that still more or less continues today, though at 12 and 13 i mostly listened to shitty bands
around 14 or 15 i got into black flag and minor threat, which led me to bands like poison idea and discharge, which led me to bands like aus rotten, which led me to bands like napalm death, etc; punk also introduced me to noise rock ala early swans, big black, and flipper. subsequently, early swans got me into later swans, which got me into post punk (though i'm still pretty new to all that- the chameleons is about as deep as i've delved)
around 16 the combination of the folk rock (neil young, warren zevon, bob dylan) that i grew up with my dad playing combined with my taste in punk got me into bands like johnny hobo, mischief brew, ghost mice, etc.
then at 17 increasingly heavier drug use made me get more and more into that sound along with a lot more sludge (passing interest in eyehategod became obsession and other bands like mammoth grinder and grief followed suit) and grindcore (same thing- like of early napalm death became love of it along with agathocles and unholy grave).
now at 18 the trends from around 16-18 are still pretty much there. i don't think my taste changed, just expanded.
edit: oh and i've recently gotten into "slowcore" which is the dumbest name for a genre holy fuck, but bands like red house painters and codeine are pretty great. honestly my last.fm probably tells more about my taste in music then i could ever do: http://www.last.fm/user/acidfordinner
Food Budgeting
in General

- check around local orchards, farmer's markets, etc. canning and transportation greatly increase price.
- COMPARE PRICES ON BRANDS. it's amazing how many people continue to buy the highest priced jar of pasta sauce because "it's what i grew up with so it's what i look for."
- beans are extremely cheap and filling, especially if you buy bagged ones. look up proper handling/cooking instructions before doing this though (it's not complicated).
- meat is expensive. learn to get your protein other places. this goes along with the beans thing.
- also about meat, there's a lot of supermarkets that will sell discounted meat because the colour has gone bad. this meat is perfectly fine to eat. colour is not a perfect indicator of freshness, and if the meat was actually spoilt it would be thrown away.
- chili is filling, easy to make in bulk, all ingredients are relatively cheap and can be frozen and will not decrease in quality for quite some time.
- crockpot is a good investment. especially a large one.
- cook big and freeze. this goes along with the crockpot thing.
- consider growing your own vegetables and herbs, if you can.
- stir fry. that's all.
