  1. FE5 experimented a lot by introducing some new and interesting game mechanics. Some of them were awesome (capturing, skill system), some of them need work like fatigue (made an own thread how to improve it) and some of them like stave missing and random warp tiles are indeed just bad. I can't believe REV brought latter back. honestly same But ambush spawning can be justified in certain plot situations like in chapter 10 in FE9. Announcing ambush reinforcements is just dumb. Instead no announcement and let them appear before the player phase starts.
  2. I'd say it in this way: FE6's prepromotes are more important than FE7's. I could get through FE7's hard modes without prepromotes. I ignored Marcus and it was still not hard to beat HHM. However FE6's earlygame is almost impossible to beat without him, especially chapter 4 and 7. If you can recruit Zealot / Jerrot quickly he can also make chapter 7, the hardest chapter, a lot easier. Another important factor are their base weapon ranks which make them very handy. Niime and Yodel are fantastic stave user and Percival has superb weapon level in all three melee weapon types. Oh yeah, meant chapter 7 of course.
  3. I don't deny he's the most usable knight... because it's not hard to be it... but really as usable as Shanna? I mean he hasn't only hitissues in the entire game but he's also bad in chapter 1 and then he tends to get doubled by some enemies. He's only really good against soldiers and for the most part he won't see much action due to his low movement.
  4. I have to admit it was hard to share the experience simply because several teams had certain adavantages like more movement or hitting 4 instead of 2 enemies with their multi enemy attack. Anyways it wasn't an issue at all to have everyone in your party since you need all the attackpower you can get to defeat the enemies. And Project X Zone 2 is still not equal to Fire Emblem as for gameplay.
  5. My laptop is bad... REALLY BAD. It can't even bring several emulators to work (which don't even need high requirements) Can't even play OLD PC games like Sims 2 or Age Empires II. lol No, will buy a PSP and TitS for it. They don't cost too much.
  6. I didn't forget... but technical issues made it impossible for me to play it yet. PS emulators don't work on my laptop for some reason and I don't want to download the PC version. Might buy a PSP after all sometime.
  7. I'm angry with myself by messing up some votes for Gen. 1 characters. I still don't know what I was thinking when I gave Tiltyu or Lewyn a ranking of ~8.
  8. The soundtrack of this game is brillant so far... as the entire game. I'm glad that I took your advices of buying this game. I haven't regretted it all yet. It's really enjoyable. I love the battle system, character cast and soundtrack.
  9. Will know I'll change to an other chick very soon. Also my favorite is definitely Laura. But I also I like Tsuns.
  10. Knows she isn't very beloved for good reasons.
  11. Non spoilered lines in his signature always start with the word "my".
  12. Priscilla Laura S. Arseid from Trails of cold Steel
  13. lol At least you could really enjoy this game. And I thought needing two years for beating FE10 would be looooooong. Who not Also hi Breeze
  14. Knows I have a new one like each second day.
  15. absolutely same It's a mechanic which made Fire Emblem to what it was till FE10. FE11 messed it up by adding Tellius's weapon weight system because it had no real point aside of screwing magic users.
  16. It can be mechanics which were introduced just for one or a few parts or mechanics which still exist. My list: FE5 no guaranteed hit and miss (1-99% hitrate) fatigue: I like the idea but not how's implemented there. An other stat like exp. should affect when you get tired. It punishes the player too much and lower leveled units who need exp. to catch up suffer more than higher leveled units. staves can miss traps like in 24x FE6 nerfing the accuracy of axes and lances constitution in all GBA parts: It's the most unbalanced weapon weight system (behind FE11) because it disadvantages females and certain classes. FE10 removing of weapon triangle (in hard mode) FE11 reclassing: I hate reclassing in general but espcially how it's handled in the Akaneia remakes. You can reclass at any time. The originality of an unit is lost when it can become to any class later in the game. It appears unplausible to me. adding Tellius's weapon weight system: bad for mages who have no strength growth the conditions how to get all the sidequests FE12 avatar: It's nice to create an unit but it should match with the story. In none of the latest parts it plays a good role. In FE12 it's just a bland character who tends to steal Marth the spotlight. FE13 lunatic (+) skills for the enemies Fates unbreakable weapons Revelations adding some map mechanics like traps, moving elevators or doors where you have to gamble to pick the right one not to get screwed
  17. Ah this, I get it. It's in the personal settings iirc. Just thought you were talking about an option in the follow command because I didn't see this there. Also I don't use this function either not to get spammed by notifications. I still hope the function will be added where you can delete all the notifications because my rubbish pin is full.
  18. Noah Bases + Growths Level 7 Cavalier HP: 27 (75) Strength: 8 (30) Skill: 7 (45) Speed: 9 (30) Luck: 6 (40) Defense: 7 (30) Resistance: 1 (10) Another cavalier with solid bases but a poor strength and speed growth. His growths are actually worse than Treck’s but therefore Noah’s bases are slightly better and needs less levels for his promotion. Since mounted units are good in this game he’s still a decent choice. 5.5 Astore Bases + Growths Level 10 Thief HP: 25 (90) Strength: 7 (35) Skill: 8 (40) Speed: 15 (50) Luck: 11 (15) Defense: 7 (20) Resistance: 3 (20) Unquestionable the easiest thief to use in this game. He has solid bases and growths. Unlike Chad you don’t have to worry about him that he’ll get oneshotted. He’s not only good in thievery but also decent in combat against axe users at least. 7 Oujey Bases + Growths Level 3 Mercenary HP: 24 (80) Strength: 7 (40) Skill: 10 (30) Speed: 9 (45) Luck: 6 (55) Defense: 4 (20) Resistance: 0 (15) Definitely the best of three in the cage but still no great unit. He’s a sworduser what is very nice at first sight. However he’s totally outlclassed by Dieck due to his lower bases and con (5 points lower than Dieck’s). He will have speed reduction with each axe except for iron axes. Since you have Rutger, Dieck, Roy and some cavs. in your team already there’s normally no free place for him in the team anymore. 2.5 Barth Bases + Growths Level 9 Knight HP: 25 (100) Strength: 10 (60) Skill: 6 (25) Speed: 5 (20) Luck: 2 (20) Defense: 14 (40) Resistance: 1 (2) Worst class in this game with a ridiculous bad speed and resistance growth. However with his nice base defense he can tank the reinforcements who’ll appear later in the prison cell. Edit: He can't even tank the reinforcements well because the steel bow archers have >20 attack and the he has heavy hit issues with the javelin. 0.5 Wendy Bases + Growths Level 1 Knight HP: 19 (85) Strength: 4 (40) Skill: 3 (40) Speed: 3 (40) Luck: 6 (45) Defense: 8 (30) Resistance: 1 (10) Wendy better shouldn’t exist. She joins at level 1 in the worst class in the game. She can’t see any action, and if she should be in combat, she’ll get onerounded by anyone who’s not a mage, soldier or knight a / o will even miss for the most part in the game. 0
