  1. Also, be warned that attempting to have someone use a weapon for which their class has no defined animation will cause a freeze. (all magic has the same character animation for a given class, so diadora would not have an issue). Additionally, the only way that i know of that allows quan to use dark magic without also allowing fin and every generic dukeknite in the game to use it would be to create a duplicate dukeknite class that is identical except for a dark magic rank/animation. Also, you may have to make the dark tome purchase prices non-filler and add "empty" dark tome types/a way to properly handle them into the game(iirc, the game lets you chose what item type each weapon turns into when empty. I don't remember if that's associated with the weapon type or character weapon module though.)

  3. Honestly, the plot and mechanics probably have little to nothing to do with fire emblem, as chinese games steal assets a lot Because china's copyright laws are essentially uninforced.
  4. "test run progect" sounds confusing. It sounds like the project consists of test runs. What about something lie "AAAA run progect: now on first run"?
  5. Isn't that a little high for an a rank (especially given that you will have to grind brigid/dew love points)? Also, You're not promoting fin while also pairing him up so that his weapons disappear? won't that make chapter 6 difficult?

  7. I've beat 4-8, 11, and 13, and have tried some of 2 and 12. (i have not tried 9 and 10 because i don't want to emulate games that i can legaly play in english but don't own and they are retardedly expensive. My cussin owns them but lives far from me and my other cousins(so i don't see him often, and when i do he never has the games on him) So i'm kind of waiting for the opportunity to borrow them. I anyone knows any way to get either one cheap, PLEASE let me know. Also, 3b2's/12's plot looks like the worst kind of sequel to me so i have not worked up the effort to play any more of that story than 12's prolog yet, ad taht was so i could play the bsfe remake (although i havn't gotten around to that either).

  9. Least favorate: fe5 chapter 24x, because of warp tiles and enemies getting warped in constantly. Most favorate: chapter 5 of fe4, because it does an excellent job of build up followed by emotional punch to the gut while also being fun to play through (with the one exeption of the patch of desert right before velthomer.) Also, great music
  10. It is a text editer for fe4/5 that is currently under development. Without it, the only way to change text is by hex editing it in manually, which no one wants to do. (I belive that the original translation tools have been lost in various computer crashes and such.)
  11. The whole abridged retelling thing was the excuse that fe12 used to add in things like mu and the assassin subplot. (fe3 also cut a conversation that mentioned that the fire dragon clan was called salamander that was referenced in fe4 as the name of valaflame's dragon. That conversation is not in fe11.)

I honestly don't see the difference between glitch abuse and rng abuse, (although i do understand the logic behind banning glitches that skip significant content) THat being said, this glitch would be of limited usefulness as it is hard to use without skipping character recruitments and/or large amounts of exp, both of which this run needs.

  14. For reference, he's playing a AAAA run, So the characters are leveled with low-turning and high level gain in mind. He actualy documented everything in this thread(although he replayed the begining with slightly different strategies): http://serenesforest.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=48082 I'd give you a save file with a casual playthrough in mind, but mine's on chapter 9 right now. I usualy keep a beginning of chapter savestate, a post-arena savestate, and a few in chapter savestates specificaly to avoid this problem.

  16. That's not true in fe 4/5, in which each place has it's own signiture class. Thracia has wyvrens. Lenstar has lance knights. Silesia has wind mages/Pegasis knights, augustry and chalphy have paladins, jungby has bowknights, frege has thunder mages, velhomer has fire mages, dozel has axe knights, izacc has mymadons, edda has clerics, and mercenaries have swordknights. THere are plenty of exeptions in the name of enimy variey of course. (especialy in fe5)
  17. Unfortionatly, i am not doing levin!fury on my hard mode ai run, which would be the easiest way to check.
  18. You could always start the chapter, note everyone's positions, and then restart. Does that go against the spirit of a blind run? Also, what will you do about the missable objects in book 2 that cause the bad ending if you miss one?
  19. Huh. That's an ... odd way to code an ai routine. I don't see what the point is of coding it like that. That is only an advantage to the player, (because being on a road meens that he wants to move which is easier when everyone has suicided into him). This raises the question of why this is in the hard ai routine?
  20. It retains it's kills and usage, Although you have to chose between it and resire, which is better, so people don't use it very much.
  21. Copy protection is part of rhdn's perview, mainly due to the unlikelyness of most people seeing it. (see earthbound for an example: http://tcrf.net/EarthBound#Copy_Protection ) However, tcrf's snes fe pages are skelital at best. Someone should add this picture. (i might if no one else does.)
  22. Is it based on terain, or evashion percent? In ofther words does it actualy base it on weather you are on a forest, or is it some evasion threshold, (such as 80 0r 90 percent), which the forest just helps him get above?
  23. Honestly, tcrf's snes fe pages are not as good as the same pages on SF, and are not especialy comprehensive. There are no images and the unused non-staff weapons (like the silence sword and the empty b rank light tome) are not mentioned.
  24. I use softpatching, then change the patch name right before siezing belhala, then change it back after viewing the ending. (or you could use the fact that snex 9x uses the same save files and savestates for roms with the same name in different folders, to open an untranslated rom in a different folder right before siezing belhala.) The save files are unchanged from the origional for all fe4 translations. (and i belive all fe fan translations exept the new fe6 patch, which messes up character stats)
