  1. Far from OP in my eyes, he has options and great on stage game and aerials, but he lack options from throws (as far as I can see) and his off stage being almost nonexistent will get him killed in those instances.

I think his throws aren't supposed to be used for combos, but rather for keeping the opponent away so you can safely charge Limit Break. Making them kill throws would be kinda ridiculous, so I can see where they tried to balance it out.

Also in the Japanese version Bayonetta always speaks in English if she's using her Bayonetta 1 alts (her Bayonetta 2 alts have her speak in Japanese as normal). It's a reference to how her first game was originally voiced only in English.

  2. Just dropping in to say that I got Hoopa yesterday. (About time that event came to the Americas!) The nearest McDonalds was short biking distance from my house, so it wasn't a problem.

And unlike the Diancie where I wasn't able to get 3 perfect IVs (got lucky with Naive and 31 on Speed), I was able to do so with Hoopa! (31 on Sp.Atk, Sp.Def, and Speed with Hasty) Don't know if that means whatever prevented me from getting 3 perfect IVs on Diancie got fixed, though.

And I still only have X, so right now I can't use its Unbound Forme but am prepping it for when I do get ORAS/later main series game, just like with Diancie and its Mega Stone.

  3. Okay, I haven't been here for how long and this is what I come back here for? Come on, guys. We all have opinions, whether it'd be nice or not. Enough with bashing the other person's opinion already, it's literally making this thread more dull and repetitive than it already is.

Sure, we've got a few "elitists" here, but I can guarantee you they're nowhere near as toxic as the elitists you see elsewhere.

Then I found this... and cried... She ain't Prime.

Some of the stuff here's already been patched. Specifically her N-Air and some other things.

  4. as for Klok, he was at an extremely high warn percentage and the agreement was no rule breaking posts of any kind or he would be banned. He violated that rule. That's all there is to it.

So, in other words he got an actual banhammer dropped on him.

I'm guessing his post already got deleted by now.

  5. As for other tweaks to the competitive characters, I think ZSS could use an adjustment on her upB. I feel like making it kill later but connect more consistently would probably be an acceptable trade for ZSS mains, while avoiding the inevitable cries of how broken she is once Sheik gets nerfed. I also believe Luigi needs some fine-tuning. Luigi wins an outrageous number of local tourneys, but is completely absent from top-level play, which I feel says something about his flawed design. Making his attacks slightly less powerful in exchange for slightly better recovery might be nice, though I don't know enough about Luigi to give specifics. I am just really not a fan of so-called gate-keeper characters like Luigi that completely destroy you unless you are professionally good.

The thing with ZSS is that all of her damage output comes from after getting just that one grab to land. It's why most ZSS players online will spam Paralyzer for most of the match, because it easily sets up for getting the grab.

Meanwhile Luigi's transcendence is pretty freaking ridiculous. I don't really know how it's calculated, but at least make it "less" for Luigi.

sorry where was this her original design? in melee she has kill moves and kill combos, in SSB4 she originally had kill moves

ftr brawl is irrelevant since it's neither her original smash design or her original SSB4 design

also uair and bouncing fish were already hit in 1.0.4

bouncing fish kills mario teetering on the edge at 130%, uair kills mario on battlefield top platform at 150+%

I don't think that's what he meant by "design concept". I think he was referring to how the character is played (as in how Falco plays completely differently in every one of his Smash appearances).

And the Bouncing Fish/U-Air nerf is kinda irrelevant in practice. I've recently only seen those moves used to apply pressure and damage before kill percents (like seeing a Bouncing Fish almost always comboing out of a forward throw). Killing with those moves isn't really a problem since Shiek doesn't have any trouble racking up that much damage in the first place.

  6. After playing around with Roy and then trying to go back to my other mains, Kirby and Ganon feel surprisingly underwhelming now. I know those two characters have been buffed a little in recent patches, but that still doesn't change their glaring flaws with mobility from Brawl. I'd give them better hitbox sizes and more speed in general.

On the topic on nerfing Sheik, I'd change the trajectory of her moves and make it so that she isn't always guaranteed to win the neutral (but not to the point where she's unviable).

Also, can someone explain how Falcon's dash grab is supposed to work? (As in, where are its hitboxes and stuff) I literally can't get that move to land at all, even when it looked like it should and despite hearing people say how good the move is.

  7. It wasn't until later that I realized it was her cipher card. I'm too lazy to dig it out.

Yeah, for some trading card games originating from Japan that's actually pretty common. The artists will usually post the card's artwork on Pixiv and, for some games, will be the only thing on the tag.

Obviously Fire Emblem isn't one of those games where the TCG artwork is all that can be found.

  8. you can suicide flame choke against onstage opponents as well :^)

I don't remember if Robin's books poof after you throw them, but at the very least you'd be able to hit an opponent for 17-18%, which can kill at reasonable percents (~110%? idr)Throwing books is also much safer than Nos, obviously.

    le epik disrespekt!!!11!!1!!!! xD

Well yes, and in most cases the opponent knows it's bound to happen anyways.

Yeah, I'm sure the books poof after one throw.

And lel @ the mental image of seeing a Nosferatu suicide performed in a tourney setting and the crowd's reaction to it.

  9. If you land Nosferatu, it usually drains 15%, creating a 30% difference. That makes it the best command grab in the whole game.

You think a 30% difference makes it the best?

I can get much more damage off a single Flame Choke and some follow-ups, which I find much easier to land efficiently than Nosferatu. You're also guaranteed a Suicide K.O. if it lands offstage while people can still escape Nosferatu and revover.

Actually why would anyone use Nosferatu as a Suicide K.O. option.

  10. They are going to ignore Sheik or make some other really small change that doesn't matter.

    Oh yeah, speaking about this...

Wasn't there something that hinted that Sakurai was biased towards Shiek and that being the reason the character hasn't been nerfed at all? I know it's from a few months back, but what was it again?

  11. Ooh, this is more trickier than I thought. I'd like to see a lot more of a variety for type combinations in general. Not just for starters or types with not many Pokémon, just stuff that hasn't been seen much of or at all. Stuff like Dragon/Fairy that isn't Mega Altaria or Fire/Electric that isn't Heat Rotom (Which could work perfectly for a Heliolisk evolution) or even the unseen Ice combinations you listed.

  12. Oh gods, with a title like that I already knew what the responses would be.

The GTS is only good if you're smart enough to ask for something remotely reasonable (and hope you'll be one of the seven offers that show up in pre-Gen 6 games), never if you're trying to find an offer.

I wish the games were smart enough to know the absolute lowest level you can obtain stuff and prevent players from asking for stuff like "Lv. 9 and under evolved Pokémon/most legendaries". That way impossible trades would be limited to overleveled Pokémon that can still be obtained legitimately. At least the Gen 6 games allow players to filter out offers that they can't accept.

  13. It's also important to note that there is an unreleased move that only Zygarde can learn: Land's Wrath, meaning Game Freak had future plans for Zygarde back when X and Y were in development.

But Zygarde has always been able to learn Land's Wrath, even in XY. It learns the move at the same time that Xerneas and Yveltal learn their signature moves. (Lv. 26)

By the time you do catch it at Lv. 70, it has already forgotten said signature move. You'll have to take it to the Move Relearner to teach it Land's Wrath again.
