  1. But he can still shapeshift.

Yes, but that doesn't mean (s)he's a pure-blooded taguel, nor does it mean (s)he's just appearing like Morgan is supposed to. We don't know the effects of being only half-taguel or half-manakete. It could affect absolutely nothing with regards to taguel transformation. So really, I don't even understand the argument you're trying to make here.

Look, I'm all for having headcanons, but not all headcanons are good headcanons. "Yarne (and Morgan) are adopted" are not, in my honest opinion, good headcanons. It doesn't really make a whole lot of sense. If there were another group of taguel that they could have come from living somewhere on the continent, well, Panne would probably already know about them... and so would the regular humans who killed Panne's brethren. Honestly, those taguels would have been killed or discovered by someone else before Panne could have found them.

I guess I should provide another example, yeah? Here's one possible headcanon:

Validar's skin is gray because he's an alien

Well... that doesn't really make a whole lot of sense. It's kinda silly, don't you think? By contrast, here's another possible headcanon:

Validar's skin turned gray from the dark magic he uses

See, isn't that a lot more logical? Dark Magic is, after all, known to have some pretty serious effects on its user. The skin thing could just be another one of those side-effects.

Now, what would make more sense as a headcanon than yours would be examples of what their half-human, half-taguel heritage means for them. Does it affect their strength in their taguel form? Does it affect how long they can transform for? I don't know, but it makes more sense than them being adopted.

  2. *insert spouse here* and Velvet/Panne being like what rabbits are known for.

You don't know it yet, but the Taguel will overrun the capital and Iris/Ylisse will be taken over by bunny overlords.

Not to mention the horrifying implications that the only way they'd continue their species (without diluting taguel blood into obscurity) is with inbreeding on levels rivaling Charles II of Spain, but the original plan in the future was to take down Grima with the aid of Yarne's army of brothers and sisters.

Yes I realize I could've gone without mentioning the inbreeding at all, I just felt the need to mention it.

I never said it was more likely. I meant that if she does, the kid will be only half taguel.

Which is exactly what Yarne is. ._.

  3. So Nowi is 1000 some years old, yet she has the appearance of a child. So she must be a child manakete, right? Then how can Nah even exist? Nowi looks like she hasn't hit puberty yet...

I suppose it can work if it's like my headcanon that says Panne and Gaius adopt Yarne instead of having him biologically. Because if we look at the Tellius games, the hybrid love child of a beorc and a laguz can't shapeshift. Same concept here. It would almost HAVE to be that way with Nowi and Nah. Whoever she marries isn't going to be around in who knows how many years, when she's old enough to reproduce, and the kid wouldn't be full manakete either.

What do you think? Video game logic or what...

...What? This post doesn't make a whole lot of sense. First off, your headcanon is kind of nonsensical. Yarne is a taguel. As in, the species that Panne is the only (known) survivor of. If Yarne, a human/taguel hybrid, didn't result from the only remaining taguel that we know of breeding with a human, where the heck else would he have come from?

Second, Nowi's youthful appearance doesn't mean she's incapable of having kids. We don't exactly know the logistics of manakete reproduction, so for all we know, manaketes could be able to give birth at a relatively younger age. We just don't know. Besides, just because she looks that young doesn't mean she can't bear a child. As messed-up as it may be, there are reported cases of twelve-year-old girls who successfully gave birth. I'd rather not think about why that happened, but it did. It's really not that much of a stretch for Nowi to have a kid, now is it?
