Yeah, it doesn't look much like the portrait of the character TBH

(truthfully, I can't tell that well though)

    Wait a second.

Is that a Dark Knight on the map? Since the characters only have 20-25 HP, they must be early in the game. Having a Dark Knight that early feels out of place.

Also, you can see the commander and a Swordmaster cut off at the top.

  2. A Gaiden remake would be pretty cool, considering it would complete the line of remakes for the original 3 NES games (Shadow Dragon, New Mystery of The Emblem, and the mystery Gaiden remake). Also, 134 posts already lol.

  3. So I was screwing around with a few trophies in SSB4 for 3DS and I found something...odd. Look at the "The Emperor" trophy from Warrior's Way. On the top parts of his crown (If you look at any other part of his body, it looks very stretched), look at the reflection. If you are able to get a good angle, you can make out some kind of gate. You can see it on his hair as well, but it's very faint.

I'm really hoping somebody is willing to rip the texture.

  4. I'm not exactly sure this is the right forum for this, but I really want to play this hack. I downloaded the hackless version of Brawl-, and I moved it to the root of the SD Card. It has the default Brawl menus (with the exception of it having the Brawl- character selection screen layout), but it freezes whenever I do pretty much anything.

    - I pressed Training. It froze.

    - I selected an alternate costume. It froze.

    - I tried two player and hovered over the Zero Suit Samus icon. It froze.

    - I tried a random, simple battle (Ike vs Random LV. 9 CPU). It froze after the 3, 2, 1, GO!.

It seems as if it freezes everytime I access data exclusive to Brawl-. Anybody have any advice?

  5. I got a shiny Zigzagoon in Ruby/Sapphire when I was younger.

I got a shiny Ninetales from the Masuda method after exactly 30 eggs in B2/W2.

I also got a shiny Golurk in Dragonspiral Tower, but it was traded to X/Y weeks before I sold said game. R.I.P shiny Golurk, 2013-2014.

I've luckily never failed to catch a shiny.

  6. Also, not sure if you knew or not, but Dark Mage's can't use Anima (Fire, Thunder etc) in the GBA games. Idk, you might have played them, I'm just guessing by the Henry pic and your sig, as Dark Mages can in Awakening.

Huh. Wow, I didn't know that. I hope dark magic will suffice, as I am NOT dealing with Lilina's growth rates.

Just to clarify was Horace was trying to say - the magic options in this game are really slim. Lugh has the best averages and growths, Lilina has a ton of magic but very little speed/skill/defensive stats (so she won't evade much), and Hugh has very mediocre growths in just about everything, costs like 10K for his maximum bases and he comes late.

Druids - Lleu is okay, Sophia is a pain in the fucking ass (holy shit 15 base HP and Level 1 like 60% of the way through the game? The fuck?) and Niime has very solid bases but awful growths. But her bases are so solid that it's not an issue.

I didn't know that there are so few magic users. I wish Niime didn't come so late, because she sounds like a very solid unit.

I try to keep my money high, so Hugh might actually be my main mage if I have the money at the time.

Idk, you might have played them, I'm just guessing by the Henry pic and your sig, as Dark Mages can in Awakening.

lol. I guess that's why I'm attached to dark mages so much more than normal mages...

  7. How could you kill Thany.

She died to a 48% hit. I didn't actually think she would get hit, but I was a little devastated when she died.

Who are you using now? Alan/Lance/Dieck have been fun, I also like building up Fir and Lleu/Ray.

I'm using almost everybody. I dropped Allen off the team, and I'm thinking about dropping the fighters off (especially Wade, considering he barely ever hits).

Lugh's probably the best offensive magic user you would have had for a very long time, you get a druid later on in the game that's pretty good. Otherwise the options are pretty slim.

Are you sure? Lugh was pretty slow and statistically lacking when I got him. Then again, I like dark magic users more anyway, so...

Chad doesn't promote, so once he hits level 20, that's as far as he's getting. So don't rely on him for combat too much!

He's only level 10, and his speed is almost capped out (it's 18). I'm pretty sure he has potential to be a formidable combat unit, especially considering he has a whole 10 more levels to go. He even doubles some enemies with weapons as heavy as Iron Blades! I was pretty impressed when I saw 15*2 damage with a thief.

Also, 25 HP with someone as fragile as glass is funny to see.

By the way, I meant chapter 7 when I said I'm on chapter 6.

  8. I'm on the 6th chapter, and I think I can safely say that this isn't a particularly easy FE game. I just want to make sure that everything I'm doing is acceptable.

    Thany died.

Lugh died (but I'm hoping I will get a better mage/dark mage later).

Dorothy died (but my Wolt is already better than her anyway).

My Chad is pretty powerful (he is literally about to hit his speed cap already), so I stole Cath's lockpicks and killed her.

I've recruited everybody else so far, and no one else died.

Any suggestions for later in the game? I think my only real significant mistake here is overpowering Chad. I just wanted him to be a formidable opponent/lockpick thief combo. It may have been worth it, though, because he is about as strong and skilled as a good mercenary.

  9. I found another stage-related glitch in SSB4 for the 3DS.

    1. Go to the Gerudo Valley stage in a mode where you can pause and move the camera (pretty much anywhere but Training)

    2. Pause.

    3. If you see the large hole at the top-left corner of the stage, then zoom in, rotate, and pan the camera so you can see inside of it to the left. You should be able to see a black hole. This seems to be easier on the Final Destination version of the stage.

Also, I checked, and this does work on version 1.0.4.

  10. should be. doesn't make any permanent modification to the Wii's NAND/Internal, which would be what causes a brick.

what did you do to brick your old one?

I...kind of did something stupid. I won't go into too much detail, but I basically tried to install an older System Menu to use a certain application.

  11. I just found a pretty minor glitch on the Spirit Train stage.

    1. Go to training mode.

    2. Pick any character (I did it with Pikachu).

    3. Pick Spirit Train.

    4. Spawn a Warp Star on the leftmost part of the train (above Alfonzo/Toon Link).

    5. Push it to the left by slowly walking into it. The Warp Star should stop rotating. It will never despawn, unless it is used.

EDIT: Also, if you spawn several Warp Stars in that exact glitch spot on top of each other, the glow around it will be brighter.
