Actually, Lysithea and another *spoiler* character have 2 crests at once. Lysithea has both the Major Gloucester and Minor Charon.
SpoilerHowever, having two crests at once leads to poor health and a drastically shortened lifespan. The only way to save her (and likely Edelgard as well) is to remove their crests altogether through magic.

It's far more likely that they would be married off to or adopted by the family that typically bears that crest. Though in Hanneman's supports, he said that nearly his whole family had crests, though he never stated which ones (he bears Indech's). If they only carried one, you'd think he would have specified, but he didn't. Therefore maybe some houses bear multiple, while some just have the one strong bloodline.

It has been stated that commoners can bear crests, though the likelyhood the "commoners" are simply bastards or branches from abandoned crestless nobles is far more likely. Basically, strong crested bloodlines are preferred, but some times it pops up very far down the line, like a highly recessive gene.

When reclassing, say, Cleric Tree Faye back into villager, and then into Mage tree, does she keep her spells that she learned as a Cleric? She's the only one who can learn Freeze on Alm's side, but also the only one who can learn Anew at all, so...

If you had the power to do an update, patch, fix, what-have-you for the Fire Emblem If game, or were able to influence Devs before the release of Fates in other countries, what would be the things you would change?
Personally, I would change the Marriage and Buddy Seals so you would take on whatever class you didn't already have in your repertoire.
Like, If Oboro marries Takumi, She gets Bowman, but he gets nothing because Lance Fighter is his secondary already. I'd make it so he'd get Herb Merchant (Oboro's secondary class) instead. Joker, when becoming friends with Cyrus/Silas/However-you-spell-it, He'd get mercenary instead of nothing. Saizou could become a Pegasus Rider by being friends with Ryouma (I still think it's a little funny that Ryouma can be a Pegasus Knight. Manly man and his pretty pony).
Please, if you have a plot spoiler, put it in spoiler tags! Not for my sake, but for others'! Game mechanics are fine, however.

Is the IK/3rd route really that deficient in stat boosters relative to the other routes? No Dracoshields, no Seraph robes, etc.?

Actually, someone mentioned to you that you're given a certain number of stat boosters as a link bonus (like Dread Scrolls and Dark Falcon Wings). Does anyone know how many for each number of games/parts of the game (for 2, for 3).
Yes, like I said, 2 Divine dragon herb (Plus 1 to all stats) and 2 Boots. There are no others that I'm aware of available through this method. You get one of each for each path, so far as I'm aware.
Edit: AH! you mean like the rep points in Awakening! That system! I'll look to see what I have unlocked and add them to the list.

You can grind for stat boosters in the Hoshido route, though you cannot in the Nohr route. I've gotten most of my stat boosts that way, actually.
You can also get some through various DLC. The Battle for the Strongest Royal will grant some at least the first time through, and buying the 2 other paths as DLC will grant 2 Boots and 2 Divine Dragon Herbs. Also, I hear recruiting Anna will give you another pair of Boots.
I'll try an put together a list for you, but that will take some time. If I succeed, I would ask you post it in the first post for all to read, rather than forcing others to dig through the responses, :)

Most of the support coversations are so cute it makes me scream! Especially Aqua and Harold's! I can just imagine them as little kids actually. Though, I mostly read the nohr side couples so I might read the hoshido side and see even more adorable coversations!
Nohr and Hoshido can be pretty different, just like eastern and western culture. The hoshidans as a whole are more formal and polite, and less... "chummy". Except for Asama and Hinata. Hinata is a meathead and super friendly and Asama is a sarcastic bully butthead. The only support I actually like for Asama that I've read is his one with Kamui. His one with Harold is pretty witty though.

I'd like to see the Perma-Stat-Mod stuffs, like Seraph Robes and Dracoshields. It was a pain grinding for max stats in Awakening, and it looks to be even tougher in Fates. Plus, so many of them can reclass as casters, but their personal magic growths are POOP.
What codes would you like to see?
I believe JP has their own version of Powersaves, although I don't know what codes they have so far for IF...
If you plug your game into your powersaves, it'll show you. Right now they only have max cash, which is useful for buying seals early-on from other players.

Max materialsI'm not sure instant support is a feasable request due to programming, but x99 seeds of trust IS possible.

Okay then I'm going with Pieri. Question: I know that Kanna's Sibling (etc. If FKamui marries Kaze, Midoriko will be Kanna's sibling) gets access to the Dark Blood class in Nohr and the White Blood class in Hoshido, but do they get access to the dragonstone alongside Kanna and MU?
You can buy them a dragonstone or use a dragonstone from someone else, but they don't come with one. So, yes, they can be dragons.

Who's should I marry Hinata to? I'm playing Invisible Kingdom. I'm thinking Luna, but I'm gonna do Luna x Tsubaki.
I'm going to echo SniperGYS and say Pieri. Hisame is one of the few kids that actually look really really good with Pieri's teal hair, and it's a really sweet support. Hinata doesn't act like a total meathead and Pieri doesn't act nearly as creepy-crazy as she usually does.

Ahh, see, when I asked a while back, they said that it draws from the primary exclusively. I was like "but, but ,but... Wah!" It's lame that the Not!Cordelia family (or at least Luna) got the shaft in that respect, but ah well. (Samurai Luna would have been cool.)

So I've been playing around with seals in Fire Emblem If: Kingdom of Light, and I've noticed a few things.
I was told that if you use a marriage seal on a couple who have the same primary class, nothing would happen.
However, I married Hinoka off to Tsubaki (both Pegasus Warrior primary), and while she was buddy sealed off as a priest (Sakura A+) and he was parallel sealed as a samurai, I tried using a marriage seal on Hinoka, and she turned into a samurai as well.
I married Sakura off to Asama, and while I had already buddy sealed him off to Tsubaki as a Pegasus warrior, Sakura could use the seal to become a Herb Merchant.
Thought y'all should know. This could mean that buddy seals work similarly, but maybe not. I'll report back after some more experimenting. Saisou and Suzukaze's supports would still be redundant though. Sad face.
Yes, I used a cheat thingy for max cash and I'm playing Normal-Casual, partly because I don't understand written Japanese, and partly because I'm just d##king around and experimenting.
If you have anything you want me to test out (within reason), feel free to ask! I'm waiting for the English patch project to get further and the youtuber who is posting his playthroughs with the patch, etc, so I'm stuck either messing around after chapter 12 or going onward but not knowing what's going on, so something to work on could be interesting!

Help! Has anyone translated Asama x Sakura yet? I'm pairing them on my hoshido playthrough (pink-haired Mitama). and around B or so:
She totally slaps him and runs away! At least I think. Sound effects and facial expressions seem to indicate that's what happened anyway. He probably said something callous absentmindedly.
I wanna know why!
Edit: I have google translate on my smart phone, but i don't think it's going to help much. Stupid Asama and his weird speech.

TL;DR Asama is a dick and his sharp tongue takes Sakura to her breaking point, he apologizes with a necklace, they get married.
C - Asama is critisizing her behavior, saying she should stay to the rear (I think) and to quit fawning over others, that it's improper for a princess. She stutters a lot. He talks about jealousy (can't tell who's the jealous one). She can't get a word in.
B - He tells her to go away, she asks to hang out, he says that she just wants to show him off like a pet (I think) and says she's deplorable. She stutters some more, then gets fed up and slaps him. Hard (good girl!). She storms off, he says she's stronger than she looks.
A - He asks if she wants to talk, she says she hates him, and that he spews venom without listening to a word she has to say. He says he'd like to apologize for that. He said rumor got around that he'd bullied her (No s###, really?
). He said he had come to give her a piece of his mind about that, but he realized he'd been rude. He then apologizes formally (Moshiwakegozaimasen. what a mouthful). She says to say it again without hesitation or unwillingness to apologize in the back of his mind. He teases her a little saying "Oops you found me out". She says "Then I don't want your apology! I hate you!" She then raises her hand to hit him again. He says "Don't hit me! Wait until I finish speaking!" He gives her a fancy necklace, saying it's easier to apologize with it than with his poor choice of words. He apologizes again. She accepts. He jokes that she's easily bought with things, and she says "Asama-san is still mean!"S - He asks if she still has the necklace, she says she carries it close to her at all times. Out of blue, he asks her to marry him (yes, that quick). She is (rightfully) confused. He says "Oh? Did I forget to mention? That necklace usually serves as a proof of courtship." The next part is really confusing, but at the end of a long monologue he says he looks forward to their life together. She asks if he actually likes her. For once, he goes silent. She giggles a little, says "I'll take your silence as a yes," and confesses that she liked him from the start, but he always said such nasty things, so she thought he hated her. He said that when he heard that he'd made her cry, he got really upset, and that's why he apologized, and he didn't actually care much about the rumor. He asks if she still loves him. She says yes, but he has to re-give the amulet properly this time. He thanks her profusely.
Ok, so the beginning kinda made me hate Asama a little, but the ending is pretty cute.

Yeah, but in this one you get bonuses for Lovers and for BFFs, so you may wanna grind both. And then the Kiddos' convos with their parents might be cute too, so then you've gotta do those at least once, just to go "Awww, lookit mah baboos! Choochie choochie coooooo!"

Huh. I always wondered why Stahl ended up marrying Miriel. I simply thought I used him as her shield too often, haha.
On a side note, is it worth it to ship characters that need less support points in order to quickly get to the support boosts in the main game?
It depends.Depending on the specific pairing you could get a really awesome child (E.g Sumia!Lucina) or a pretty bad one (E.g Kellam!Kjelle). If you want good - decent children it is not recommended but if you just want to get all the children and be done with it then yeah.
It also depends on how much you want to grind for those good children. If you're willing to put in the extra effort, go for it. It might also depend on route and desired playthrough time; if you're doing Lunatic+ Nohr (the supposed more difficult and limited grinding route) then you might just go for "whoever is leftover after my super awesome ships gets stuck with their go-to-boo."

I will let Camilla marry Flannal, let them pass over 4 Fangs and Deadly Breath. Let Kanna(female) inherit the ninja class somehow. Give Kanna A+ support with Velour. Velour paralel seals to ninja class, she will get Snake Venom. And thus having a character with Deadly Breath, 4 Fangs and Snake Venon for a total of -60% health degen/turn.
If those skills stack with eachother though.
The other 2 skills will prob be skills to make her more survivable and/or Lethaility.
Holy carp your Velour is going to be a BEAST.

Honestly, I think the reason it's nope (even for me, and I'm not super-nope about it) is that she's so young, or at least acts that way. If she were written to be even a hair less naive about his intentions, I'd be totally fine. It's the implication that she has no idea what she's getting herself into that bugs me. She's a bright girl, and given a few of her amie lines and a culteral barrier, I think if she were real she wouldn't actually be that clueless, and is probably pretending, which is why I'm not super irked by it.

Yes, Sylvain's supports go into this quite a bit. He talks about how nobles will pop out kids like crazy until one has a crest, and then that one becomes the heir. Frequently they'll all but abandon the others, and disown them if they complain or (rightly) cause a fuss. Or if they just don't feel like supporting 15 kids.
I was aware that Edelgard's dual-crests were the result of experiments, but was not aware Lysithea was experimented on.
It may be that dual crests are otherwise impossible. Or it may be that dual-crested infants are miscarried, still-born, or die shortly after birth. Due to the nature of the source of crests, they might even be disfigured. That sort of thing would lead to the nobility hushing up anything about dual-crests, or perhaps they wouldn't even bother to check if the child had a crest once it's dead.
It seems to me if they had the idea to create dual-crests through experiments, they got the idea from somewhere. And absconding with a dead infant seems par for the course for Those Who Slither in the Dark.
