  1. But isn't Minerva a promoted unit too? Also I don't think Hinoka will be our Caeda. IIRC, A defining point of that archetype was that Caeda could recruit a lot of units and was a potential love interest for the protagonist. There haven't been a while lot of those besides Lilina thinking back, and Hinoka doesn't seem like she will fit into either of those requirements. BTW, this is all based off what I know from 11, not 1, so I'm not entirely sure if it still lines up in 1.
  2. Anyone else notice in yesterday's treehouse footage that Gunther wasn't on the map either (even though they had one extra map slot). Could both of them have died early on in the plot?
  3. It's probably nothing, but anyone else notice how they scanned the marth amiibo on the Wii u gamepad and not a 3ds?
  4. We saw Chrom, Caeda, and Cain.... Odd choices to say the least.
  5. Just bring back RDs skill system and combine it with Awakening's so each class gets 1 skill when they reclass (regardless of their level) and have units have personal skills that either come with the unit or are taught by scrolls that are found in chests or on enemies.
  6. Add me to the list of people whose immediate first thought was yeti
  7. 8 has some really in depth characters with really thorough backstories. Ignoring the plot holes and whatnot, I really like 10s overall approach to the story, showing it from several perspectives, getting really in depth with the political relations between the countries and stuff. 10 also defiantly had the best gameplay, no question, at least for me. Overall I put 10 just because of how I put it for two prior categories.
  8. Fire Emblem as a series has nothing to do with the world it takes place in. It is a series of videogames, and is defined as a series by its core gameplay mechanics and its title.
  9. I'd assume the "enemy" spoken of here is your family on the enemy side for the most part
  10. Garon the Baron. It rhymes, so it must happen
  11. I was thinking this. He looks pretty old to me, though I suck at judging ages. How hilarious would it be if he ended up like Ephidel, though?
  12. Children have about a 0.5% chance of coming back. They can't logically be in because there would be no way of actually recruiting them in Nohr, what with the levels being linear. Marriage, I'd say has a 60% chance of returning from Awakening, though hopefully the pair up bonuses were nerfed.
  13. I can see lots of minor countries that we may pass through at some point, but nothing too major. I'm thinking something along the lines of FE6 Ilia or Sacae.
  14. Make it Alfred and pair him up with Gerome and Robin. It all comes full circle.
  15. In all past FE games, the continent the game takes place on is usually divided into several countries (as in more than two). Do you think the world of FE14 will have other countries besides Hoshido and Nohr? Will these countries have anything to do with the third path or other factions? Discuss.
  16. Roger that. I think at this point, I'd rather fight a Python than read more puns. This Marx the spot when I'm getting tired of them.
  17. It most likely will not return. The whole update on the weapon triangle only mentions "magic", so it'll probably stay like awakening in that regard
  18. We already have the ladle as a joke Axe, spoon could definitely be a joke " hidden weapon"
  19. Here's how my timeline will go: - Game is released. For the first few days, I will ignore the internet entirely. -Day 4 or 5: I will end up going on SF to look up something for an older game and may see the news feed. - Day 9: I will decide to just check out some weapon stats and whatnot about if. -Same day: I'll begin to stray out of the non spoiler content and will be spoiled about something (probably pretty minor). -Day 10: I'll say "screw it" and look up all information about the spoiled topic, and will undoubtedly spoil something else. At this point I will tear my face away from the screen and go try to read a book or something. -Day 11: The cycle will begin again.
  20. So with unlimited weapon durability confirmed, I would assume things like armsthift and the hammerne staff are out. While the staff can simply be cut out, armsthrift would need a replacement (assuming skills work like awakening). So what skill should replace it for mercenaries? Existing or new skill?
  21. I'm assuming Phoenix mode is just for people who don't care about the gameplay at all whatesover, but more so the story, supports, and the likes. Or it can help players test characters out that maybe start weaker. While I will never use this mode, I guess it might have it's uses. Maybe.
  22. On An hr route, I feel like Camilla will really love the avatar (in one way or another, most likely as a sibling) and will be genuinely supportive. On Hoshido.... I see things going badly. She may go a bit insane, or depressed, but I see her as being completely different than on the Nohr route. Edit: on the third route I can actually see her being one of the first to join you after you chose to go out on your own
  23. You know, looking at it, it really is the same as Awakening. IIRC, we start with 3 and get 3 more with each major dlc route, so it is still 3 per game (although if you like one route much more than another, you could probably just use that route's save slots, and I guess it is like having more)
  24. R.I.P. Hammerne Staff. 1990-2013 You will be missed.
