[Challenging Chapters]

For those who have played the game/s, which chapter did you find was the most challenging to play through? How did you finally beat the chapter? Skill? Luck? Or a bit of both? :)

I have only played through the Hoshido route so far but for me:

the most difficult chapter has been the side chapter where Shinonome can be recruited. The reason for this is because he always kills himself on the very first NPC turn by attacking the hero who always enters into his movement range.

[Soleil/M!Kamui's Supports are almost offensive]

^^They may just want to be able to have a full roster of characters and be able to support with the a character that is the same sex that they are interested in real life. IS could have made Kanna have a different class set depending if they are adopted or not.

Supports always seem to be a mix bag. This one was not written in a way where I find the characters' actions or in this case reactions believable. With the amount of information given in the support, it boggles my mind that Soleil would still trust mkamui after he slipped a magic potion in her drink without telling her.

Usually I like the English translations to be as close as possible, but this support is an exception. It tried to be light hearted and comedic but it missed the mark for me at least.

Felicia mentioned a Flora and a Jakob in the dialogue. I'm betting that Flora is the name of the blue haired maid.

I agree, I want Joker changed. I think of an evil clown when I think of Joker not a butler. Lazward will probably be changed.

[Fire Emblem FATES!]

I'm just so used to hearing the Japanese voices, but the English voices sound better after listening to the trailer a second time. All these new trailers on the movie sequences are making me speculate on the story. I wonder if our "choices" in the game affect if Kamui is possessed and taken over by the dark dragon thing or not.

[The whole Eastern direction of FE if]

I like that they are adding a more Eastern flare in the games. I would be even more thrilled if other cultures were represented in Fire Emblem as well. I think it would be so cool to have African, Alaskan, and Indian(this would be my absolute favorite because their traditional clothes can be so colorful and pretty) cultures represented in FE games. However, the chances of this happening in the immediate future don't seem very likely but I hold out hope.

I think that some characters in the game will be written better than others but that is true in most things. With the giant cast of characters in Fire Emblem games there are always some that are pulled off really well and others that can't break free from their stereotype. I think that FE14 will be no different.

My reaction when I first saw this feature was to laugh out loud. My hope is that it isn't actually petting but something else that is less creepy. I hold out hope because the cursor is not a hand but a stylus. Maybe it is some kind of dragon blessing.

I'm excited for the new my castle feature.(although needless to say the face petting is odd) I like that they are mixing things up once again instead of releasing the exact same features over and over again only changing the characters, the maps and the story. It keeps things fresh and interesting. I'm glad that IS experiments with new ideas.

There is one character who looks suspiciously like Severa in the castle trailer. It makes me wonder if the Indigo looking sprite seen on the Nohr side will have a familiar Awakening portrait as well.

I don't think Kamui is actually rubbing their faces because the cursor is a stylus not a hand than again it is a stylus to appear less creepy.

From the castle trailer it looks like it eats only food items not weapons. So there is at least one difference.

Also, it does not level up like the other characters. It doesn't look like it has stats.

Yay! That video in systems showed a lot. I like the alternative more mature looking face portrait for male kamui better than the default.

While their hair colors do not all match up, both Camilla and twizzle tails look like they have purple eyes. In the split screen image, it looks like Camilla has a bit of blonde hair (this could just be the light) and twizzle tails has purple spirals twisting through her blonde hair (could be ribbon or hair).

I don't recall as much diversity in hair color for siblings in other Fire Emblem games I've played. Usually two different hair colors in a family at the most that I can remember. Maybe on the Hoshido side they all have a different mother or father.

I am kind of hoping there are characters exclusive to each side so there is more incentive for me to get both versions if the game is split in the US.

I want them to be a little evil or say dark. I want to be able to understand their motives and have those motives be believable. That being said, I still haven't decided yet which side I'll go with first.

I think that there will be characters that are exclusive depending on which route you take and characters that will be available no matter which side you choose. I don't think that Kamui and the dancer are the only characters that will be playing both sides.

I made this chart after looking at both trailers and some of the extra stuff from the direct. I am having a hard time distinguishing the cavalier that I put under Nohr as it may be the same one under Hoshido. The hair looks slightly different but I can't really tell. This is all speculation.

His clothes especially the headgear remind me of the time mage costumes for Bravely Default.

I kind of hope he isn't the master mind evil guy controlling the king because that has been done before.
