  1. Meg wishes she had been born attractive so she could be a peggie. Unfortunately she has to hide behind armor and therefore sucks. Which is unfortunate because I really like using tanks in general, and Gatrie in theory could be good, but Marshals are just not worth it in this game. Due to their poor caps and poor mobility mostly. So it's ok to like Meg and use her every time if that's your preference. Go for it. Have fun. I will still use Gatrie on most of my playthroughs. But I won't argue that he's AWESOME either.

  2. I just am not a fan of letting my characters get low health, even intentionally. Because I don't enjoy it. Ultimately this is a game to be enjoyed. Optimization is not necessary by any means. I've beaten apo with pairings that weren't "optimal." The reason I ask is because I really enjoy the aspect of thinking through all of this. The mental exercise of trying to come up with pairings that may be totally unnecessary and overkill is fun. Trying to figure out who does what best, and how, is fun.

If I wanted a primarily physical Morgan would Olivia!Lucina!Morgan be better or Sumia? I'm thinking Olivia because Morgan would get a +2 str and +7 speed (along with others, but those seem like the most important.) Would Morgan prefer the +0 str and +9 speed?

  3. Aside from skill% proccs, primary damage modifiers are anything which increases Atk or Dual Strike%.

As long as Aggressor exists, male Morgan will always dish out more damage than his female pendant.

So you're saying that I misunderstood about Morgan. A male Morgan is preferable because of Aggressor.

And I understand what increases Atk and DS%. I was mostly wondering what increases those enough to get kills without procs. I assume tons of forged weapons mostly. Sorry for the confusion

  4. I think Rhys is slightly underrated, not that he's great by any means, but he comes with bases that are a lot better so I find him more helpful. Especially considering I'm not planning on using either of them endgame, he's slightly more useful early on so I tend to favor him over Mist.

  5. If you really don't like setting up Vengeance, that's fine, but Luna isn't a requirement for Apotheosis either since it's definitely possible to add up enough damage to get the kill outright without procs.

You also did not include Brady, who come with Luna and is unscrewable anyways, but Lon'qu would be a good option here since all he really needs is higher Skl + Speed mods. You might have already done this and forgot to include it, since I don't see either of them up there.

Laurent can take Gregor for a more well-rounded approach, but you don't seem to be into Vengeance for Vantage-Vengeance, so in that case just going with Libra for the +Mag mod is fine.

Noire can just take Donnel for Galeforce. but Gregor is an option if you want non-Galeforce. Gregor's mods make her well-balanced and gives her some nice new class options.

Where is MU in this? Pairing off your 2nd gen characters is fairly important, and I'm assuming he'll be paired off with one of the children.

So from my understanding it seemed like procs were the best way to get your average damage up. How else do you rack up damage? I know Aggressor is great.

And your assumption on Lon'quXMaribelle was right, I forgot to post that somehow.

And I was thinking of doing Virion!Yarne!Morgan. Not sure if that's a bad decision, but I would prefer a primarily physical Morgan and he gives pretty good mods for that, and that seems like what Morgan cares most about since he can get basically anything he needs in terms of skills.

And I read something about how FeMu makes for a worse Morgan, not sure how that happens so if you have insight I'd appreciate it. Or I may have misunderstood.

  6. So my niece deleted my file that I was doing an apo run for. It had about 45 hours on it so I was very irritated, and so I would appreciate any help getting things together.

    ChromXSumia

    SullyXGaius

    PanneXVirion

    OliviaXFreddy

    ChercheXHenry

    NowiXVaike

    LissaXRicken

These are the ones I'm leaning toward, so unless there is a glaring hole, or someone who would be better used somewhere else, I would like to keep as many of these as possible.

So I don't have a father for Laurent, Noire or Severa.

And I really would rather not run vengeance, but if nobody has any other options I would consider it.

So Stahl is free, I feel like he helps Severa because he gives her a good proc and pretty decent mods, and she can get a faire if she really needs it, I lean toward him for Severa for those reasons.

So Libra, Kellam, Donnel and Gregor are available as fathers. So any help would be appreciated.

  7. Because for her to be a viable option you have to focus on her and micromanage all of your resources into making her usable. And what do you get from your efforts? A unit who isn't particularly good at anything, even being average. I would really only say Fiona and possibly Leonardo are worse from the DB.

  8. Freddy and Virion are definitely the most developed of the male characters. Though I do like Lon'qu, everything about his character revolves around his fear or women and it gets a little old sometimes. Stahl is pretty good too.

The best female characters in my opinion are Cherche and probably Maribelle. Maybe throw in Lucina and Libra

Too many of them though make me want to blow my brains out. Nowi? Tharja? Teach? Gah

  9. I know you're not counting Eliwood and Hector's maps in FE6, but even barring that I would say that Eliwood has to be considered one of the most. His game (and let's be honest FE7 is Eliwood's game) is the one that got most people outside of Japan to play Fire Emblem in the first place. So he would get my nod, maybe even above Ike but that may be a stretch.

  10. Ya I think having supports you enjoy is a really important part of the Fire Emblem experience, as you seem to know. I think Lucius' are some of the best so I would say do everything you can with him.

  11. Collect all the stat booster items that you can.

I usually resort to reset abusing when using Bexp.

This. If you really want to make sure that as many people as possible are capping, definitely reset abuse.

On a side note, in PoR I think you definitely want to focus on characters that you really like in general. In RD it doesn't matter as much because of the irritating "support" conversations.

  12. It's not necessarily that I don't want Kjelle as a front liner. It's just that Donnel, Gregor and Freddy were the only fathers I hadn't paired off yet, and I really hate the mods she gets from Donnel. Well maybe I could do GF/LB/Luna/Lancefaire/Astra? Does that sound ok on Kjelle?

And do you think I would be better off moving Freddy to Inigo? Because no I haven't gotten to S rank with LibraXOliva yet. Which if I do switch that and end up running Donnel!Kjelle, I have Gregor and Libra on the bench. So if either of them fit somewhere else better I could in theory swap them out.

  13. So these are my pairings so far, and my thoughts for skills for their children. It's not fully fleshed out, so any help (especially what skills specifically they want to get from their parents so that I don't waste too much time,) is appreciated.

    I have

    Sumia!Lucina-GF/LB/Aether/Luna/DS+or Bowfaire maybe?

    Chrom!Cynthia-GF/LB/Aether/Luna/Lancefaire

    Stahl!Owain-GF/LB/Agg/Luna/Astra or Faire better here?

    Ricken!Laurent-LB/Agg/Tomefaire/Maybe DG+/?

Gaius!Noire-Really not sure on this one. GF/LB/Luna/Bowfaire? is about all I got. Maybe v/v on her, but I prefer not running vengeance because something about making my characters get near death makes me cringe.

Lon'qu!Brady-GF/LB/Agg/Luna/Astra maybe? Or is the Brady too frail to be a front liner making Luna and Astra wasted on him?

Virion!Yarne-LB/Agg/Axefaire/Hit Rate+20 possibly/All Stats+2? Not exactly sure what to do here either

    Libra!Inigo-GF/LB/Agg/Axefaire or swordfaire probably/possibly anathema?

Cordelia and Morgan are sisters with GF/LB/Luna/Ignis/Lancefaire

These last three pairings are not set in stone by any means and if any remaining fathers are preferable please let me know.

    Vaike!Gerome-LB/Agg/Axefaire/All stats+2?/Lucky Seven?/

Henry!Nah-I feel like with her low speed she probably won't be a front liner. But she could do ok backing up a Galeboy, either physically or magically. Run something like LB/All+2/Either axefaire for a physical or tomefaire for a magical/Lucky 7?/?

And I don't have anything remotely set for Kjelle. The best of the remaining fathers I would say is Gregor, or possibly Donnel. I dislike Donnel though because of the mods and he only passes down Peggie instead of Gregor. And neither way do I see her as a front liner making galeforce practically useless, and I think axefaire is going to be better for her than lancefaire.

    So Gregor!Kjelle-LB/Axefaire/All stats+2/DG+?/Armsthrift maybe?

Sorry that that was a lot to read, any help is appreciated.

  14. In no grind, Kellam fathering Nah isn't really great, at least, so long as one wants to use the parents (and in no grind, if neither get any experience, Nah is going to be garbage for the point in the game where she can be recruited). Unless a Second Seal (and associated levels) is/are invested in him, he provides no Spd bonus to Nowi. Even with the stacked Def, her starting HP isn't very good and being doubled by most things is not something she needs. This also causes Luna+ to wreck her even harder than normal. Generally speaking, she wants a Spd support to get her out of that hole ASAP.

I see what you mean, I have never done the pairing in that kind of a format, but ya Kellam doesn't seem like the best match for her there. Thanks for correcting me. I assume Freddy would give her the same issues. Who would you recommend instead? Gaius comes to mind for me.
