  1. Exact same deal happened with Fates as well.
  2. I think so. PR outright describes a "protagonist" with the other 3 lords as "Main Characters". I'm fully expecting S-supports to be back.
  3. Completely invented by 8-4, from what I've heard. It's almost like the game isn't releasing for nearly another year with the footage likely taken from an even earlier build (as well as potentially held back from the March Direct).
  4. Or infantry could just have higher movement across the board, like in Tellius.
  5. I only saw combat arts, which are likely just what we got in SoV (wouldn't be surprised if one inspire the other). If there's a specific point where she's prompted to use magic, then okay. ...Good grief the logical jumps here hurt my brain. Like FEW could've had any sort of real impact on the development; they'd have been working on the game for two years at that point it launched. (Also sad to see someone who carries the fabled irrational hateboner for the musou franchise).
  6. Edelgard is confirmed Axes/Swords. Dimitri is an infantry lancer that also has a sword at his hip. Claude is our archer right now. So yeah, the only characters given real focus were all lords.
  7. FE's never really been original, and all three of the 3DS games had shit writing. It's going to be the church is evil and end off with killing god.
  8. Dual Strikes are back, so I wouldn't be so sure. If anything, having mixed masses of generic units would look more impressive.
  9. Good grief every FE style has been "generic" The NES stuff was stock standard for the 80's SNES was every 90's anime ever The GBA and Radiant games stuck with the SNES style and refined it a bit, but overall that's actually the minority
  10. The Melee community has only grown as time has gone on, and right now is bigger than the Smash 4 one even; it's alive and well. Melee is what it is unintentionally, but it's had a continous following that, short of oversights being replicated, won't abandon it. And really, I don't see anything wrong with that.
  11. I'd say it's less him and more the fact Square keeps giving him multiple projects to manage; juggling acts are never a good thing. And for what it's worth, he was replaced on FFXV and stepped down a few months ago with 7R. KH3 has had all of one delay and's had a reasonable dev time (it began in earnest in 2015; meanwhile, from E3 2013 he was saying that it was announced way too early). So I'd say the blame goes back to Square's lap.
  12. They haven't brought up it all since that first mention, so who knows.
  13. They shifted dev teams again and threw out a bunch of work earlier this year. It's happening, but could take almost as long as "VSXIII".
  14. The existance of the XOne port does lend credence to those early rumors that Nintendo was trying to get it on the Switch.
  15. Glad to be proven wrong, then.
  16. Jedi, I'm sad to say I think your commisions are the only FEW fanart in existance (unless you count hastily put together "memes" mocking the game as "art").
  17. So, crash course of a rumor: Vergeben, the guy who leaked TMNT in Injustice 2, a crapton of stuff about SCVI, and the TWEWY port with new content (while also having plenty, plenty of misfires along the way) stated a couple weeks ago that Ridley and Simon Belmont would be newcomers with the Ice Climbers returning and Minecraft having some sort of representation. In PMs, he also teased a Konami compilation game for Switch... and then the E3 website updated with Konami's listings including a compilation game for a whole bunch of platforms including Switch: https://mp1630k065.mapyourshow.com/7_0/exhibitor/exhibitor-details.cfm?ExhID=4XTDjeQv He also teased "a new Jump fighting game that's a J-Stars type of game that's basically a sequel to it" in a PM on the 5th: ...And Jump Force was just announced. Coupled with the Resetera moderator comments teasing him before the March Direct, ...I think Ridley has a chance (as well as Simon Belmont, if we're to assume the compilation is for Castlevania).
  18. I just wish I hadn't had work and had been able to catch it. Really, even if there wasn't a ton of exclusives, I'm just glad it doesn't mean cool looking stuff is exclusive in the other direction.
  19. https://square-enix-games.com/en_US/news/nier-automata-for-the-xbox-has-arrived Somebody hit "enter" a bit too early. "Nier Automata: Become as Gods" edition for XOne.
  20. I've heard that the enemy level increase in Hard mode also carries over to increased experience, whereas in basically every other game higher difficulties give out less experience per enemy while making them higher leveled.
  21. They did start SoV as Fates was winding down (and it's team was largely the Codename Steam one); I wouldn't be surprised if they're already in the early stages of the next remake. Not that they'd announce it right alongside the entirely new one, but thinking about it I wouldn't call it unlikely.
  22. This is a tiring meme. The game started development before Overwatch was revealed, using an earlier game from the dev as a base (if anything, Overwatch ripped off that); they share a few similar characters because they're grounded in common archetypes. They're both very much their own thing, with Overwatch being sci-fi and having a bunch of background lore and stuff while Paladins largely shirks lore and has more playable characters in a magitek/steampunk-ish setting (for instance, starting a match/respawning you ride in on a horse until you get shot at/start shooting)-- Paladins has characters like a living tree with a battleaxe, persian/arabian nights themed archer, a humanoid turtle with a lava cannon, a narcissistic Hispaniac knight with a flamethrower... . TL;DR Paladins' dismissal as an Overwatch clone/ripoff is crass and uninformed.
  23. https://www.dualshockers.com/dead-alive-6-wont-use-soft-engine/ Goes a bit more in-depth on the different "direction".
  24. Safe to assume that October 16th is the worldwide release date. Also only 8 deifications, likely tying into the 8 artifacts mentioned on the website. Samurai Warriors characters keep their Hyper Attacks. Magic Weapons seem to have replaced RB attacks, with different kinds (unique magic, charge magic, combination magic); going to have to wait for full translations before we get in-depth info. But here's Yingping launching a Kamehameha: Weirdly enough the musou bar is seperated into individual stocks, but using a musou depletes it in full. Updated cover art featuring a couple silhouettes: ...Poseidon with a pirate hat? A few different Magic Weapons:
  25. 1. Would you rather something be equal parts amazing and terrible, or thoroughly average in every aspect? 2. A game you only got into after stepping away from it/dropping it once?
