  1. Has anyone gotten a character at both an S rank and an A+ rank with two other units? I want to know if it's possible to have someone be married but still able to get A+ ranks, or if the A+ is a replacement for the purpose of having the stat bonuses.

    As an offshoot of that, are the A+ conversations, if any have been translated, generally tame or do they enter goggles territory?

    Thanks much.

  2. Now that you mention it, could it possible there are hairstyles locked to either version? It seems far fetched, but the notion of "aesthetically appropriate" looks that coincide with the kingdom makes me wonder. On the other side of the coin, that could be why a lot of what we've seen thus far appear to be neutral.

    Who knows, maybe you can unlock exclusive ones to change in your room in your respective version's castle. Afro please.

  3. Thank you once again for all of your hard work, SoC!

    My hype levels are reaching astronomical highs right now, I don't think my brain could take any more information. ;A;

    If Mozume is indeed a villager, then I'm looking forward to that class returning. There was a pleasant sense of nurturing I always had when raising those units; not to mention whatever they could offer for My Castle. Like, it makes too much sense not to have people with farming skills tend to farming related activities.

  4. Thank you for all of your hard work, SoC! The amount of hyperbole and doom and gloom people are casting upon one menial feature of a likely many the game will provide out of the box is rather superfluous, to put it lightly, but I digress. All of this pessimism should hopefully blow over when the full game is released and everyone is basking in the initial wave of new information as it pours out by the seconds. Ah, the 25th can't come soon enough~

  5. I don't recall anyone here specifically defending the examples you used there. I'm personally not offended by this whole face time thing, but my most basic understanding is that the outrage is more focused on the notion that it's (potentially) watering down the essence of the series as a whole. Not simply because these elements exist, but because they're being included (and in broader ways than ever before) in a long running series that never had to use them as a crutch to rake in easy sales until recently. In short, it's polarizing to many longtime fans of the series.

  6. The impression I've had from the beginning is that IS wants to try and keep every party as happy as they can, which is why we have two versions of If in the first place. Therefore, I don't think it's unreasonable to assume at this time that these features will be optional for those who don't wish to use them. Likewise, I'm going to wait until we get concrete translations detailing what exactly said features are, and how they're integrated into normal play.

    Legacy characters being unlocked with Amiibo is bollocks on account on the abysmal stock issues that plague those products, but that's another barrel of fish.

  7. Before the Felicia face thing, there was a list of units Kamui could choose from that included other female characters with hearts beside them. So I guess you can hypothetically flirt with/pet multiple women? It really does look like Pokemon Amie where you boost superficial stats between you and your other units. I'm curious where the Hot Springs from earlier fall into all of this too.

    It's all too silly for me to get my knickers in a twist about. Though I am curious if any of it holds substance.

  8. As a strong advocate of righteous warriors of justice, unadulterated manliness, and the American way, I too look forward to seeing the dynamic Harold will bring in his respective character interactions. It's a nice sort of irony, with what Nohr appearing much more glum and serious. A shining star of glory in a pitch black sky, so to speak.

  9. After glancing at the topic about unit quantity between the two versions, I think what I'm most concerned about is the characters being written more in lieu of Awakening's cast; only more shallow. One of the main reasons I enjoy this series is the personal commitment and attachment I have toward my units, so if I'm not feeling their designs or their personalities, I worry that it will hinder my overall enjoyment to a significant extent.

    Of course, depth, variety, and challenge in terms of the gameplay itself is important too, and I'm holding out on a limb that Nohr will at least satisfy that itch. But considering the story is supposed to have a greater emphasis this time around, ultimately my thoughts loop back to the quality of said writing. I want to see my army bond through fairly believable and non-superfluous means, not baking.

    EDIT: Taking a quick glance above, I feel compelled to say I don't feel strongly against Awakening. I sunk well over 100 hours into it, but in spite of its vast replay value for me I will admit it left a few things to be desired.
