Well, OK, I might try something. I don't really want to use FEXP again and I don't want to deal with hacking so I'll try SRPGStudio, I guess.
Reading the synopsis, I have some ideas...

Wow, the poll is horrible. You put two questions in there with opposite meaning but only provide yes/no answers. That's really confusing.

Not sure if I count but you may go ahead with mine.
I guess I could change it up a bit though, buffing the player characters may go a long way into lowering the RNG dependance...

Well, Paper Jam is, I think, the hardest M&L game (not counting DT hard mode).
His attacks are indeed hard to dodge. If you have enough expert points, I would recommend buying the 1Up glove (or whatever it's called in english).
Its effect is very powerful, at the beginning of the character's turn he uses automatically a 1Up mushroom on a fallen ally. That way, you can basically only heal Luigi and let him regenerate the Marios.
Frankly, without it I would have never been able to beat the final boss on my first try as I did, I would probably have needed to grind a bit.

By "short attacks", he means simple jumps and hammers instead of long trio or bros attacks.
And you can survive the explosion with the correct piece of equipment (an accessory who has a 75% chance of protecting the wearer by using a mushroom. I had it on Luigi and managed to beat the boss on my first try with it, with great amusement)

Not sure if this is the right place, but I'll be interrested if you developped your opinion.
So basically, the problem I have with FFVI is that it starts too slowly, both in gameplay and story and it... well, bored me out.
As for FFV and FFVIII, I like customizing my party and those two allow that the most.
That's basically it.

I don't think being beginner friendly is really important here. You probably can get into any of them fine (as long as they don't bore you out)
Besides, if you have already purchased FFVII, you could start with it very well.
As for another, I second the people recommending V, it's really fun.
And because I feel kinda sorry I will add that I really liked VIII too.
Finally, I will recommend against FFVI because... I didn't like it much.

Thank you for your post.So yeah, got too heavy-handed on making the enemies stronger than the usual FE ones. Duly noted.
As for how to record the ending and stuff, I don't know.

Well... I can't say I'm not disappointed.
I guess that's the kind of result you get when someone who is not very good at FE tries to do a hard chapter and finish too late to have enough playtesting done.
I tried to make it difficult but fair (frankly, there's only one thing you could really consider a trap, I think) but the enemies were too strong on average which made it a bit too reliant on RNG. Oh, and I thought Markyjoe would have more time to play it too.
Frankly, it was too hard for me but my (few) playtesters said it was fine so I didn't change much.
And now I sound like I blame them

If you load the suspend you should be just before.
It happened once before but I thought it was just FEXP being unstable. Maybe it is, but maybe it isn't. I have no idea.
And I reiterate my statement, you are really unlucky, haven't been able to have the priest move to the throne yet so I can't see if my makeshift solution work or not...

Alright, so, the many reinforcements.
Those floods were caused by two differents events each. One is turn based, another area-based and there is one for visiting the village. You just happened to trigger two of them at the same time leading to those difficult situations. I tried to design the chapter to create interesting situations if the player advance slowly but steadily but I may have failed, haha^^
For the priest, i believe I ran into this problem once and I tried to fix it but the situation did not come back so I couldn't see it didn't work.

OK, I just realized something. A prion is an abnormal protein that makes normal protein become abnormal.
But a protein doesn't have genes, it can't evolve any symptoms, it doesn't make any sense. I don't think it can be transmitted through air or water either but I'm not too sure there, I guess.
Of course the game is far from a simulator but it's still a bit... much.

Nice, nice. In my theater days there was a guy who always did great for the villain roles but I don't remember hearing about that being rare.
Congrats and good luck I guess. I'm sure your teacher is right and you'll be good. I mean bad, because you're going to be a villain.

For fantasy, I like using real-life names and using already existing impressions.
What I mean is using names of the same origins for such and such nations so that when the player meet a new name he can guess what is its origin just like we do in real life.
And making up names is hard.

I haven't played for quite a time but if I remember correctly their goal was to increase the reputation of Katarina's group so she could more easily do her job.
Something like that, I believe.
