Voted for birthright, even if I only played normal mode

I saw from someone that actually bought the SE a screenshot that showed the SE will be shipped two days prior to the release date, and getting to the destination on the 19th, so I don't think that you'll be getting it any later, unless that only applies to Amazon.
Uuuh, are you sure about that? Or only for Amazon? Coz I preordered from Gamestop and it's international so I'll receive it 3-5 days AFTER it ships, which means I would be getting it late if you're right. Please don't stress me like that D:

Real happy to see I'm not the only one being paranoid.
I have been checking my order every day for the past week, and I haven't slept well for much longer than that.
Everything's fine, but I feel really nervous since there's a lot of stories about how gamestop orders get cancelled for no reason or something similar. My order is international so I'm doubly nervous.
Mind you, I did get the order in on the 15th, which was pretty early, and the payment is present on my card as not paid yet, but I really can't help being super anxious from my lack of experience with online orders.
It's even worse considering the fact that I don't know WHEN my order will get here. International means I have no faster shipping option, so I have no idea if I'm going to get it on the release date or later, and it's driving me crazy. Some people here say they always get their preorders from gamestop on release day (from experience), but others say it won't get here until a week after. Cue here for anybody who's familiar with gamestop or international shipping as whole to tell me how much time it'll take, to please lay my worries to rest a bit (I want to sleep again dammit)

This is gonna be a long week.... And it'll be made even worse since I dont know exactly when my SE will get here, ordering from USA to Canada uncertainty. It's weird coz people here say it'll come on the release day (from experience) and others say it'll take about 1 week (since it's international), I don't know which is true and it's driving me crazy!
I haven't slept well for 3 weeks.

From the start I thought she sounded pretty natural as someone very clumsy and feminine. I think she sounds adorable ^^

I'm content with everything I've seen so far. The only thing that rubs me the wrong way is the removal of dual audio, but my guess is that they didn't get the copyright for some of the voices, and I can live with that. And the English VAs certainly aren't as bad as everyone tries to make us believe. (Yes, even Felicia is growing on me, I'm starting to find her adorable ^^)
Localization HAS been clunky, I won't deny that, and I feel they could have managed a few things better, but overall I'm happy with what we're getting.

I don't believe they would erase this feature for 3 simple reasons:
1- The 2d models aren't used anywhere else so it would be a huge waste not to include them, they know better than to piss people AND Nintendo Japan off by outright cutting them out.
2- This feature, albeit weird, is a key component for boosting supports. It is an IMPORTANT GAME MECHANIC. It would be simply ludicrous to remove an entire part of gameplay for censorship. Even Nintendo is better than this.
3- Kotaku. Nuff said.
I think we should all just chill, stop putting so much stock in rumors, and wait until we actually have the game to judge ourselves. The worst that could happen to this featurem realistically speaking, is a bit of tone-down, make the lines less lewd maybe. But it would be illogical to remove it entirely.

I've been interested in that Map Pack that they're putting up for preorder since I've been planning to buy the entire DLC for the game a long time ago. However I have a couple of questions if someone would be kind enough to answer them:
First, how exactly does it work? I know I might sound kinda dumb here but I've never preordered DLC before. They say something about a code but I just wanna make sure that I understand correctly before making any purchase.
Second, You might notice that I'm form Canada. Right now the Map Pack isn't available here, only in the US. Is it worth buying in the states or do you think they will eventually offer them here? Like, should I wait?
Third and last, Is it worth it? I remember Awakening offering map bundles that were actually cheaper than the separate maps. I'm betting that they'll do the same thing here. So what's the point of preordering it at a low price early if we can't even play it until it's out, and when it's out there might even be packs that do the exact same thing that you can buy then. That's the most important point for me right now, so i would appreciate if someone could explain.

I love Corrin
In my opinion, every single lord of every FE ever has always been bland and unlikeable, the only credit I could give them was that they were beast units. So really, Corrin might not be the best character ever but he at least has a bit of personality. And yeah, I CAN insert myself with this character, coz his reactions are probably the most realistic of the entire cast of main characters.
I don't give a sh*t what everyone says, Corrin is a good character in my book.
Fight me.

Fortunately I was lucky and managed to place a preorder from Gamestop USA when it was still in stock, coz having it a couple days late is better than not having it at all.

If one of those orders cancels out or has to be cancelled for whatever reason, I'll have another one up and running.
Um.... all those comments about random cancellation make me nervous. Does this kind of thing happen often? Why in the blue hell would they cancel your order if you paid and never wanted to cancel?
Please someone answer me, this is driving me nuts and I keep checking my order to make sure it's stil there

So, I have now been anxiously going back and forth between sites to preorder a beautiful copy of the special edition of this game, but to my regret, nothing appears.
Being form Canada and rarely ever preordering stuff, I honestly don't know what to think.
Can my fellow Canadians tell me what they think about this situation? What are you guys doing? Should we just wait for them to appear on the sites and then rush to get them? Or should we rather buy it from the States as fast as possible for lack of information about our country's releases?
Coz' really, at this point I don't even know if there will BE a special edition here, or if the special edition is even limited in numbers in the first place.
I'm also inviting anyone who eventually stumbles upon a preordering site for Canada to share it in tis thread.
PLEASE answer, I am really dying here not knowing anything. I NEED this special edition so bad :(

Oh my OH MY, I can't even...
Yes! I have a problem because no I CAN'T FREAKING CHOOSE!
I managed to round down my choices to 2 for each route but aaaaah.
Of course, out of the choices, all the siblings are there. XD I will only do my first-runs of all routes as a female, so at least I don't have a headache about waifus.
So in Hoshido, I'm struggling between Takumi and Ryoma. Somehow I seem to prefer Takumi but then I read Ryoma's Amie lines and.... ugh. In Nohr, of course, there's Leo and Xander. The struggle is real :/. Both are so great and I just can't choose (although I think I'll go with Xander because he's, well... Xander). As for the 3rd route, I'm struggling with Jakob and Silas. Jakob's antics are adorable, what with him being so flustered every time you give him attention. As for Silas, I've always had a soft spot for the best friend type.
Who the heck do I choose?! aaaaah

What in the actual f-??My "favorite" is a toss up between there being a rape scene in the game or there's a porn scene with horrible violence in it. Anything to make sure this game looks like the devil.
Is that really a thing? Do people really believe this absurdity??
This fandom really scares me at times..... :/

Oh crap! I hope these things don't work. :O *genuinely concerned*You think this is bad? You should try some other sites. There was a thread which started by stating the game sold well and it devolved into how the game should have sold like shit and deserved to die because it encouraged date rape. No, I don't know how we got there but that's how much virtirol is headed towards the game. There's petitions to cancel it or to censor it. There's people spreading misinformation to make sure this game seems like the devil. It seems like there is a concentrated effort to make sure this game sells poorly and its driving me up a wall.
I mean come on! Cancel A WHOLE GAME because there are SOME FEATURES that you don't like? I can just call that stupid. For all I see, this is still the same Fire Emblem series Ive come to love over the years with its brilliant tactical gameplay and interesting characters, it just has more fanservice now to expand its fanbase, because you know what? Fire Emblem wouldn't exist anymore if it wasn't for that! People seem to forget a lot that if Awakening didn't bring anime-ish style and "waifu" system to the table, Fire Emblem if wouldnt even EXIST.
I mean if you really hate the game THAT much, then just don't buy it. :/

You can't please everyone. It's inevitable that some people won't like what you like, you need to accept it. But at the same time, they may have their own reasons and opinions that simply don't apply to you. There's no reason to care about what they think, unless you only want your viewpoint to be popular. I've learnt this the hard way.
If the negativity is just bringing down your mood, take a break from it. Though, I would recommend not getting too caught up in the hype for this game. If your expectations are too high you will only be disappointed when you actually play the game.
Here's the thing, I really like the presentation for this game, but I'm not going around like "O M GEE FE FATES IS BEST GAME EVAR IF U DONT LIKE IT U SUCK!!11!11!!". No. I know people will not like the game and others will and that's just fine, that's what opinions are for. What brings me down, however, is when I see constant negativity about the same subjects that have already been aborded countless times, and people still complain about the same thing over and over. For example, I've seen hate on skinship ever since it appeared (the most controversial feature imo), and at the beginning I understood how people could be weirded out by it. But now the game is out and we've known about this feature for quite a while, and people are still complaining about it. At this point I'm thinking: "We get it. You don't like it. Could you please talk about something else?". That's just beating a dead horse now, and I feel like it's people complaining just for the sake of complaining.
Now, if it's just to express an opinion once, that's fine. It IS a forum after all, where people are there for this exact purpose. But I've seen the same people posting SEVERAL times about the exact same thing just to make sure that others know how much they HATE this or that.
I don't know, maybe I'm just overly sensitive
or spend too much time on this forumbut I feel like I see more and more of this, and it's getting on my nerves. :/Also sorry for the rant there

I'd say check his performance in battle.
If he can hold his own even in 2nd tier, then you can wait.
If he seems to be having trouble surviving on his own, then by all means, promote him. He shouldn't lose that much potential since there's only 3 levels left to him, and you definitely need him at his best for the endgame of part 4.
Haar is a character that should be able to solo a group of enemies without trouble, so if he can't, do anything you can to boost him for part 4
