    A topic for asking and answering questions about Skinship in Fire Emblem: Fates. If this topic has already been done and is still active, I can't find it.

    I'll ask the first question:

    What do the different background colors mean in the Skinships? Ex: Xander's background is dark blue, Lazward's is green, etc?

    I honestly don't think they'll censor anything (except language). Awakening's suggestive themes were "mild", but Fates' suggestive themes are....... suggestive.

    Exactly. Camilla(and Charlotte as well) is perfect the way she is and I'm a little sick of this constant instance that women in games have to covered, no cleavage or anything. Do you have any idea how ridiculous it is to constantly complain about that?

    Oh my goodness, I hate it when people complain about things like that. I mean, obviously, it's a little hard for poor Camilla, because she's on a flying unit and wyverns bob up and down when flying, causing her chest to bounce and hurt, but other than that, Camilla is wearing armor that I actually really like (aside from the bottom, why is her underwear exposed???). It's actually very functional.

    Charlotte on the other hand, is going to be cut in half with an axe. I don't like her exposed midriff that much (her armor isn't protecting her abdomen at all), and the only reason I like it at all is because it might give her some more ability to move around (same with Rinka).

    But exposed cleavage is nothing to complain about in games, because 1) there's always some guy running around with half of or no shirt on (@ fighters and male dark mages), and 2) if a woman wants to flaunt her stuff, then by all means, let her.

    Sorry if I sound misinformed in any way. I am a guy, after all.

    The point is conceded: yes, I don't know how old Midoriko is, but she does look far too young….. so at this point, even if they said, "yeah, she's 18, we swear!", I'd say "not interested". Similarly, I refuse to S-rank my Avatar with Nowi, despite her being 1,000, as she looks to much like a young child.

    This is why I need the small MU build. When I married Nowi, it was with the tiny lil boy MU, but in Fates, the smaller male build was removed, so now I'll feel shameless marrying Midoriko (if I want to).

    granted marring children in the first place should never have been allowed in the first place, which is what lead to this, but i can't see this being kept the same.

    Yeah, marrying the children units is kinda disturbing but I gotta do it for Femui/Shara. They're most definitely doing to change this, I can't imagine it being unchanged in the localization.

    I was talking about the fact that on tumblr, the supports' mistranslation blew up into a huge crazy discussion about how Mamui was "curing her lesbianism". I don't personally think that it was the right thing to do at all, but it probably wasn't meant to be homophobic.

    Just to be clear, Animated Blood is not used to cite graphic depictions of blood in games, that would be referred to as either Intense Violence and/or Blood. Lots of Nintendo games including Zelda and Kirby games have been cited as having Animated Blood before.

    Yep! "Animated Blood" can also mean blood that isn't red, such as the Risen in Awakening exploding into purple smoke when they die, or the "blood" in some Zelda games, which (if I remember correctly) is also purple.

    I always knew that the game would be rated T. There's nothing in this game that would cause the game to be rated M. The ESRB doesn't think that teens are little kids, but they know that red, graphic blood would upset parents, which is why they gave AA5 an M rating. There's nothing in Fates that would upset parents of older teens. Nothing too explicit or graphic appears in the game, it's merely suggestive, hence the "Suggestive Themes" as opposed to Awakening's "Mild Suggestive Themes".

    Also, what's wrong with Soleil? We've confirmed that the entire "curing lesbianism" support thing with the male avatar was a mistranslation, right?

    People need to stop whining about how Fire Emblem is "dying" because of these new games. Sure, Awakening's story was kinda dumb, and Basilio's return (as well as Emmeryn's) were so annoying. However, we KNOW Fates doesn't let everyone live. We already know that some characters die, and that there's nothing we can do about it. You think that IS and Nintendo don't learn? Do you honestly think that they don't care about feedback from fans? They took what we said about Basilio and Emmeryn and made Fates so that we experience that sadness. They know now that we want to experience a full range of emotions while playing these games, and that's what they're giving us.

    Most female designs in this game are pretty skimpy. If the male mages, who don't need protection, weren't skimpy, I'd be calling foul.

    I still don't see why they need to be in hot pants and mesh, but the male enemy Dark Mage design is really attractive.

    Maybe casting spells creates a magical backlash on the wielder that causes their body temperature to rise, forcing them to wear as little as possible to help cool down their steaming abs

    I agree, it's a nice balance as opposed to the open butts of the female Cavalier/Paladin/Great Knight outfits.

    I'm so attracted to the default male enemy dark mage you have no idea.. Who Is He. Why is he so hot. These are the questions I need answered.

    I'm crying btw. Now I can't stop thinking about Odin's abs, as if I wasn't already thinking about them too much anyway.

    Honestly, the Plegian mage outfit is downright epic in how unsuited for a desert environment it is. A full body stocking offers absolutely no protection against the merciless desert sun and no protection against the deadly cold of the night. It's even black in order to absorb as much heat as possible. And needless to say, all that metal is going to absorb heat like crazy as well, and they wear it around their crotch of all things.

    And I can't imagine that walking through sand in high heels is a good idea, and all that sweat you create during the day is probably going to do all kinds of nasty things to those kind of clothes. I'd rather take the heavy robes.

    Hm, totally didn't think about that at all! I honestly have no idea what I'd prefer now.... The sorcerer outfits in Awakening were god-awful, with weird open crotches for the women's outfits... It's funny how an entire class tree is basically fanservice.

    Well, I'm trash who likes the FE14 dark mage outfits because of how scantily clad these grown men are while they run around in the snow.

    However, I don't like them when it comes to practicality. The Plegian dark mage outfits made sense. They were worn in the desert, and I don't know about you guys, but there is no way in hell I'm wearing heavy robes while fighting in the desert. Remember Henry? He came in when your group was in Carrion Isle, which was a little higher north. He wears a cute lil sweater instead of the translucent nylon shirt the other dark mages wear.

    I think the dark mages in Nohr would be freezing. Odin comes in when you're playing a freakin' snow map, and the entire front of his outfit is missing!

    Nohr: Zero, Luna, Flora, Pieri

    I know I have to marry Camilla eventually, but I don't really think that would be good for Kanna..... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Femui:

    Hoshido: Ryoma, Saizou, Hinata, Nishiki, Syalla

    Nohr: Xander or Leo, but if I'm not going "the incest route" I'd probably just marry Lazward or Odin

    The only reason I'm marrying a 2nd gen. character is because she's the lesbian option tbh, otherwise I'm not marrying any child units

    I like your art a lot, I always have trouble with full bodies, but your art is really nice!

    I'm sorry you had trouble preordering the SE of Fates, I had to drive for 1 1/2 hours to get to a GameStop that sold it! Hopefully you'll be able to preorder it soon! :D

    I took a quick look at your blog without really browsing too much, because I'm not really looking for Fates spoilers, but it looked pretty interesting.

    How dare your avatar for Fates look like mine except blue hair and friendly eyes you monster I'm filing a complaint here comes my lawyer scrub!!

    At the complete risk of sounding like a creep, I find the generic male dark mage enemy character to be incredibly attractive. Just seemed relevant to your "gay for Fates characters" theme.

    They can make a demo based in Chapter 6, let you choose Hoshido or Nohr, so you can have an oportunity to use both sides and see which one you like the most?

    But yeah, probably in January we will see one

    I agree, it would be great to be able to make the choice in the demo, and that's likely what the demo's going to be. It might just be the first two chapters though

    I have a friend who's in love with Fire Emblem after playing the Awakening demo and then buying the physical version when it came out. A good demo will probably do the same for Fates

    Hi guys! My name is Kristófer (Kris) and I've been interested in Fire Emblem for..... too long.

    I've been going on SF for a while now and I guess I might as well make a profile so that I can reply to things, so here I am! I have no idea how to use this website, but I guess I'll figure it out soon enough.

    Let's see, where do I start.... My first Fire Emblem game was FE7, and I played all of FE7-FE13 except FE10 (never had a Wii/Wii U) and FE12 (I cannot handle Kris, the avatar. He's too much of a Gary Sue annoying for me to play the game). I've preordered FE14's special edition. I'm happy to be a part of this community! :Sain:
