I've never seen any real benefit from the removal of postcounts, really. If somebody wants to be an elitist idiot, he'll be it regardless of that number. Also, I believe that the "postcount doesn't rise here" is a good "spam is allowed" tag. But anyway...
I'm wary of a quality points system... alright, wary is an understatement. I've been a member of a couple art communities in the past, and I've seen a favorite system to define the "top" works uploaded. After a while, only a few of those were truly exceptional; many were actually junk, only pushed to the top because of mass-favoriting of people with a massive friends list.
Do you see where I'm getting? Even if you log and restrict it, chances are it'll be an horribly skewered system. It's likely to soon degenerate into a popularity contest.
On the other side, groups don't really serve any purpose anymore - before they had benefits attached, but now... might as well group everyone that's outside of staff as "members." Maybe make a group for ex-staff members, but that'd be it. I thought about site contributors at a point, but... frankly, given the way the site works, everyone would reach that rank so it'd be utterly pointless.
I agree with you, completely. It has a tenancy to boil down to popularity contests.
I don't think this would be possible without a lot of modification. We'll see though; I'll look into it.If you want, depends on what the Rep System you're planning on using, I might know someone that can mod it for you (or even write on for you {In both senses of my suggestions}).

I'm personally leery on Reputation Systems, they are often abused, but assuming you keep a close eye on things...it should work out better.
As for Post Count vs. User Group - I say disable Post Count and base User Groups on the Point System.

I almost ignored this for sheer fact of lulz, but I agree that the rules are too vague and need to be rewritten. Hence my reply.
You're supposed to criticize the staff privately - be contacting the one who made a wrong decision, or an admin. That's common knowledge.And I'm not even talking about hiding the staff's flaws so they're more respectable; more importantly, there's the ego part. A private criticism is less likely to be faced with resistance than a public one and, therefore, tends to be more successful.
In other words, it would be your own best interest to solve such issues via PM/IM.
Ignore me if that's already been said in those walls of text.
I pretty much agree with this, but sometimes it gets to the point where it needs light and it need public attention.

Honestly, he is very rarely wrong. Not always correct, mind you, but he is very factually based. Things like opinions, yea, he'll tear you a new one if he disagrees, but as least he has the decency to explain why with facts and solid thoughts. Unlike 90% of there rest of the assholes on the internet that'll just be like "yr rong fagot".
You got to remember where this topic was before it was moved to General by Jyo. Even if it is a topic for serious discussion, when in FFtF, anything can get torn apart by anyone.Ever after the move, 90% of the posts were two liners with little to not thought. Having fun is one thing, that's why there is Off-Topic/General/Random sections. Go be a fucktard there, but you need to know /when/ to just be 'lolrandom' and when to put your SRSFAIC on.
Honestly in the end, no one is really going about this the "right" way. The few people that started out serious deteriorated into shit-posting half way through, with the exception of Blacken and SuperBus. And that chap with the 'k' name whom stuck his nose in unaware of the situation lol.
And I'd even go as far as saying Blacken isn't handling things the 'best' but that's how Blacken works. He is an informant, if you're wrong he lets you know, and makes sure you're not wrong anymore. It's not the worst trait, he's just a bit forceful. An acquired taste, I would assume.
There's my two cents. I'm sure I'll see more shit-posts to come.

...Anyways...In VBA:
Find the frame in which you wish to nap a sprite frame (you can use frame skipping to slow down/speed up the game). Pause. Tool. OAM Viewer. Scroll through the pictures. Find the pictures/pieces of pictures you want Save. Rinse. Repeat.
Granted it can take a little bit of time and yes, it will most likely be in pieces (Paint and Photo Shop can remedy that easily though). Most reliable way I have done though. No rough edges. No cutting from a screen shot.

Honestly, I have to say, a private option it pointless, if it's a private matter, PM a Mod. That Mod can take it to the Staff Forum. This is just my opinion though.
Also think making them public was a great idea. (Also shows you're listening :P)
