  1. I've just sat myself here reading this while I'm waiting for a friend to come on Smash and I'm like: "Guys! Stop making me wanna replay Fates!"
  2. Same. It kinda reconnected me to my original playthrough.
  3. If you're open to grinding but don't want to do too much, why not use the last map you completed as a grind spot and only replay each stage once or twice if you get any new characters? For example, you can replay Chapter 3 since you get Sumia and Kellam in that Chapter but Chapter 16 doesn't add anyone so you don't use it to grind. Depending on how you want to go about Optional Chapters, you could ignore them since everything bar side stories 2 and 3 give you a character. I suppose it depends on how you want the characters to turn out.
  4. Understood. Please, enjoy your stay,
  5. I couldn't really place an answer to my most blessed unit. Likely because I've just woken up, or I haven't buried my head in any of the games recently enough. The only one that kinda jumps out at me is Marcia in Path of Radiance since a friend advised me against using her on my first run because it never went well for him. She turned out really great for me and this was after I didn't use her very much initially. I don't remember what her growths are like but I felt it was notable. On the other hand... My most cursed unit in Fire Emblem as a franchise has easily been Oscar in the exact same playthrough. He literally became unusable early on because his Strength never increased. It went up twice before I ultimately had to drop him and near the end of the game, I saved it before doing a little test. I fed him ALL of the Bonus Experience I had access to. His strength increased a total of 3 more times in roughly another 12 levels. It was absurd.
  6. I have to ask: Did you ask the question you joined to ask? If not, why not ask it? We're here to help... or argue... I'm still trying to deduce which...
  7. I basically see FE12 this way because that's actually how I assume, it was intended to be. Which reminds that I really need to finish Shadow Dragon and this...
  8. I'm expecting a twist where at the end of it, Ash is just sat there telling this to the new cast. Though I'm super curious to see if they can rectify some of the big problems they had 20 years ago. Seriously, there's a lot. Of course it wouldn't be funny otherwise...
  9. You guys know what's fun? Almost finishing the Pokédex after a week, catching EVERYTHING in plain old regular Pokéballs but not being able to finish the Pokédex because your friends that are playing Sun won't do the ultra beast aftergame section to get you Kartana and Buzzwole. I really ought to hassle them to do it... I'll admit, I used Powersaves to pull up some Pokémon like Squirtle, Tangela, Tyranitar, Yveltal, Marshadow, Magearna and admittedly Kartana, (though I want a Legitimate one). I wish I a Ditto with decent enough IVs for Special Stats and a good enough nature to make Special Attackers to get the Blastoisinite in the Battle Tree. I could get the item and a Squirtle cloned and give them away on Wonder Trade or something. XD I feel like I'm nonsensically rambling...
  10. The only examples off the top of my head right now is how the music changes depending on the time of day, Pokémon Centers are good examples of this due to the daytime theme being akin to Sinnoh's Pokémon Center daytime theme. Additionally is that regional variants sorta took place in Sinnoh first, but it was literally just Shellos and Gastrodon and nothing was affected by that aside from appearance.
  11. I prefer them over some of the newer games despite the fact of things like a lack of the Physical/Special split. I feel like I shouldn't like them as much as I do but maybe it's just how they were remade. Every extra bit, bar the Bill Sidequest after the Cinnabar Gym, is aftergame content and Bill's sidequest is optional if you would prefer to hold out as it is. Even the Pokédex doesn't expand to include things like Crobat or Scizor until you get the National Dex and those Pokémon can't evolve until you get the National Dex. Which is just how I feel it should be. It could be argued that I'm dwelling on nostalgia but I personally feel that additional content that wasn't present in the original unless initially intended to be or otherwise an optional feature should be made as aftergame content. I realize that may seem contradictive due to Gen 1 initially being planned for 190 Pokémon or something along those lines but they ultimately released those missing designs as the bulk of Gen 2's additional Pokémon so it's reasonable to leave them independently accessible via the aftergame. If anything though, Gen 1's and Gen 3's mechanics are just obsolete now, as much as I love the latter's. Remakes would be a good move just on account of updating the generation for the modern mechanics which a lot of people would want, myself included. I'd like to Mega Evolve my Pokémon in Kanto, or use Z-Moves (after the main game of course) with certain trainers like the Rival or the Elite 4 or powerful aftergame opponents getting the same luxury. Heck, they could even extend the aftergame to further Red's journey so that we can see what happened leading up to Mt. Silver, The PWT and later Alola, as opposed to just hinting it or providing a small piece of text that most people would likely forget. Being fair, I'd like to see the Sinnoh Remakes too and there's plenty of hinted evidence that they're literally just around the corner, but throwing out remakes as quickly as they are, they'll catch themselves up sooner or later.
  12. You know what's funny? All this time spent arguing actually suggests the patience to grind a single character up that far. Checking in with this topic is pretty funny under that notice.
  13. Still waiting on the release here... but the only one I've toyed with the idea of is Oliver for a Male Decidueye. It shouldn't be too hard to work out why and if it is, my profile has information that'll help.
  14. Grinding is a term used in video gaming to describe the process of engaging in repetitive tasks. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grinding_(video_gaming) Having Olivia dance 200 times seems pretty repetitive. Also, if we're talking about the children being important to the story, they're technically not, save for Lucina, however the reason they're put into side-chapters is because of how friggin' long the game would be if they were all shoehorned into the story when they're established better as individuals that've travelled to the past and been separated from each other with other things on their minds as well. Everything's new and fresh to them, why shouldn't they explore a little? Especially when nobody's keeping them on track.
  15. I'm 90% certain it does. EDIT: I'm 100% certain it does. I just tested it. Lifetaker and Speedtaker both triggered for the same kill.
  16. Based on how the main series anime animates it, it's most likely Mud Shot. Mud Bomb would have been larger and less numerous whereas Mud Slap would likely have just looked like mud being hurled like thrown sand.
  17. Remakes that I need to hunt through my room for my GBA, Original DS or Game Boy Player disc whenever I feel like playing them.
