  1. Some concerns:

-Mars is roughly a year away. Food, Water, and Air required to make such a trip poses a logistics problem. You could cut the required resource cost in half by making it a one-way trip, but that's quite the gamble, when we haven't even perfected moon missions yet.

-All we know about Mars is that "Water exists". No idea how much, how accessible, and whether or not it's capable of sustaining life (Toxic? Radiated? Too small in quantity?)

-We have never taken on a terraforming mission before. Starting with the moon would be much more practical. "How long does it take to set up a biodome? How well does it work? How quickly does it fall into disrepair? Is generating an atmosphere possible with our current level of science?"

  2. -Apotheosis 2.0.

    -Lunatic+

The monty haul maps are fine. The fanservice maps are fine (Even if you can find every reward picture on google), because the maps are their own minigame with their own sets of rules. You're not just taking your level 20/99s and autoing through. I want DLC that adds Content, though. One map really shouldn't be 5% of the whole game's base sale price.

  3. I remember the days I could put a Myrmidon in a forest tile and watch him dodge pretty much everything. Now in Fates I pray for the heavens even against a 20% hit rate.

Although sometimes it does work in your favor. Completed Chapter 21 in Conquest because Charlotte dodged a 78% and 71%.

Have no idea how the RNG work in this game.

Below 50%, 1 RN. 20% is going to hit you 1 in 5 times.

Above 50%, 2 RN. 90% is going to hit 99% of the time.

There's a thread going on to figure out the details, that's trying to figure out if a less elegant system is being used, but this has matched my study, mostly.

  4. Here's how I play:

-However I want, whenever I want.

Sometimes, I want the hardest challenge I can give myself. Completed a megaman speed run, a level 11 Final Fantasy 1 game, and Hardcore Expert Terraria.

Other times, I enjoy the zen of grinding. Level 99, all classes mastered in chapter 1 of Final Fantasy Tactics is a thing I've done several times.

Other times, I like turning on IDDQD and steamrolling.

People are not one dimensional anime tropes like Miriel, Subaki, or fanfiction.net's opinion of how gay relationships work.

You like grisly wound on Camilla? That's cool. I don't. C'est la vie.

You wanna brag about beating Lunatic with only 50 hours spent in Boo Camp, Museum, and Ghostly Gold? That's cool. Remember, nobody liked it when you bragged about having a charizard in eighth grade, either. In this scenario, you're only giving people a handlebar to smack you with.

You think Lottery, Mess Hall, and random unit drops are cheating? That's fine. PETA also thinks eating any processed meat is tantamount to baby murder. Voicing a negative opinion of people who use those features will only cause them to ignore you like those westboro baptist people.

Remember the late great George Carlin's final commandment, and apply it here.

    "Keep thy religion to thyself"

  5. Welcome to the cool kids' club. We have cookies.

While you might not be half-bad at arting, I'm TOTALLY bad at arting! Maybe we can become besties!

  6. Enjoy the runs. Hoshido is definitely what I wanted to pick on my first day playin' the game, too.

However, as the story goes on, I realized there's no way I would have picked Birthright in Corrin's shoes.

    #DRAMATICIRONY!

    #DRAMIRONY!

Welcome the cool kids' club. We have cake.

  7. Valla+Hoshido on all of these.

???? - unsure of default name - Male - Wind disciple, miracle, dragon fang, aptitude

Kurumi - Female - Prodigy, Duelist's Blow, Bowbreaker, Dragon Fang

Nori - Male - Haiku, Skill +2, Dragon Fang, Bowbreaker

  8. -Genetics cannot be applied here. Sure, they *look* human, but they have magic, blue hair, dragon/fox/wolf genes, etc. If they were humans with 9 month gestation periods, you could effectively pass years between babies. If Elise is 13, but Silas has a baby with Mozu, she's 13.75 after Sophie is born. Do that paralogue, get Sophie. Then Niles gets hooked up. Do that paralogue, get NIna. Elise is now 14.5. Camilla and Benny share a romantic dinner, Ignatius happens. Recruit Ignatius. Elise is 15.25. Laslow and someone male Soleil. Elise is 16. Lather rinse repeat 4 more times, and Elise is 19. Does she look 19? Certainly not by the standards we're used to.

-Nyx certainly doesn't *act* like she's been around a hundred or so years. Her attitude strongly reminds me of when I was in third grade, and the girls in my class would run around and say to the boys, "Girls mature faster than boooooyyyyysss~", completely oblivious to the irony that entailed. Every time you talk to her, she's touting it over her head like she's got something to prove. WHO YOU TRYIN' TO CONVINCE, NYX? YOU AIN'T FOOLIN' OLD MINT!

But for the sake of the story, I'll buy that she's a powerful witch that cursed herself with an eternally prepubescent body. Given her attitude, she obviously hasn't been around long enough to see real people grow old and die, so certainly less than four generations old. If she was venerable when she cast the spell (it's usually old wizards who fear death that end up becoming liches), we'll say she was 60-70 when she cast it, and maybe another 1-5 years have passed in solitude before meeting the party, since she's still super awkward when meeting people in her child-form. Even a small amount of exposure to strangers would give you the chance to get used to social interaction as an immortal child. I mean.. You need milk and toilet paper, don't you? You might want to go swimming in the summer with your newfound youth?

61-75 years old, for the sake of the argument.

Now, realistically, the whole "OMG I'M ACTUALLY OLDER THAN YOU WTFFFF RESPECT ME!" is a totally rebellious-teen attitude. She's not actually a super powerful old witch. She's just a kid dabbling in the dark arts (Look at her stats when you get her. Is that the sort of person you imagine when you see someone that can cast a spell of immortality? No. Stop lying. It's not). Her parents got mad at her, she took off and is living on the streets. She got tired of begging for change, and concocted this story. "I have no family" is right, but not for the reason she's telling you.

13-16 years old. Give up the lies, Nyx. Your family still loves you, no matter how your last conversation ended!

  9. Was lyin' in bed, connecting to some random castles of people that gave me accessories, since I know those are the most likely to make repeat visits, when I start a battle and see that there's a pegasus sitting on the throne.

"Aww! How cute! His avatar kinda looks like mine!"

"... wait a sec... his avatar looks EXACTLY like mine!"

This woke me right out of my nearly-asleep stupor, and I had to take a picture of it. A dark falcon with 11 movement must be way up there on the "recruit me!" Einherjar list.

  10. Right in the childhood. I was 14 years old playing Brave Fencer Musashi. I was just finished congratulating myself for completing the steam-puzzle-tower-thing, and realized I was late for a date.

Adding my own favorites to this list? Man.. so many to choose from. Megalovania and Dancing Mad are both undoubtedly on this list somewhere, so I'll skip those in favor of another game that ate hundreds of hours of my life. Crypt of the Necrodancer, a rhythm-themed turn-based roguelike with simple rules. Endlessly fun, and the soundtrack is just stellar.

  11. +DEF/-SKL, +DEF/-LCK, +DEF/-SPD are the ones I'd pick. -LCK will tap your damage, and get you another luck statue. -SPD is good for a Knight talent. Wary Fighter is awesome on units that can't get a second hit.

I'd avoid +MAG, as you won't get two hits, meaning each point is only half as effective as it would be in nearly every other situation.

+RES is fine, if you really really like RES more than DEF, but remember, +DEF also improves your RES stat.
