  1. I don't think I could have a dream about FE if I wanted to. It's not really dream worthy.

    I have had a dream about a certain FE character, but the setting was much more realistic.

    Edit: No, Tony, it was not NSFW. It was who you think it is, though.

    I wasn't expecting to dream about being in an FE game but it just happened, and it was my first time.

    It was also very realistic, like the characters I were with were life like and bled 'real' blood.. it was rather intense :D

    Cheers for the reply..

  2. Last night I had a vivid dream about being in a fire emblem game.

    The setting was in a big stable and these heavily armored knights wanted us dead.

    My band consisted of some myrmidons, a mage (who looked like serra with blonde hair instead of purple) and a few others.

    It turned out very bloody towards the end, with us being forced to retreat down a well.

    Weird thing was at the bottom of the well was a pit with two giant snake/dragon creatures and cloud strife :/

    Im not a huge FF fan but for some reason he was there, and he had been down there so long he eventually went mad and forgot how to speak.

    Supposedly that was Hell and we had died and gone there.

    Have you ever had dreams about Fire Emblem?

  3. I finally got a copy of Radiant Dawn. Despite reviews saying it is not as enjoyable as POR I could not pass up the opportunity to play a Fire Emblem game..

    I have found it enjoyable so far. The dialog is a lot more serious and fewer than POR (perhaps it will change later) and the gameplay is generally tougher.

    What initially drew me into FE were the stories, sub-stories and the sometimes comedic dialog between characters. But I find RD offers a lot in terms of strategic gameplay even if the story/dialog may not be as good.

    It has been about a year since I have posted here and it feels good to be back :]

    Glad you're enjoying the game. I presume FE9 (PoR) is your first FE game. If you haven't tried FE7(the firstone to be released outide Japan) for the GBA yet, then I suggest you play that as well.

    You posted this thread in the wrong forum section though. This is just General, not General Fire Emblem. Easy mistake to make since you haven't been around here for a while, I guess.

    Thanks for replying, Raven.

    Yes, FE Blazing Swords is one of my favorite games of all time :D. It is pretty much the benchmark game I compare all other tactical RPG's with.

    Radiant Dawn is also quite addicting, however. I just died after attempting chapter 4 for about 2 hours, completely forgetting that it has in-battle save!

  5. Hey Popo. Am relatively new here myself.

    Hi, everyone! :lol:

    For those of you who don't already know me, I'm Popo, and it's a pleasure to be here. I'm currently a moderator at FESS and primarily take care of the Art and Fiction section, but I've been hearing great things about this place--most of which appear to be true--and decided to join the community. As you can probably gather, I enjoy art, writing, and of course, Fire Emblem, particularly FE6 and FE7. I like meeting new people so feel free to say hello or send me a message sometime. :)

    Being a newbie again feels really wierd. XD

  6. I know this guy who is into tactical rpg games, like the Ogre Tactic series. But i was never able to get him interested in Fire Emblem.

    Anyway, the other night he told me he got a hold of FE1 and Gaiden (neither of which I've played) and he seems to be hooked on it :P

    It took me be surprise, but now I feel like playing the original NES FE games to see what i'm missing out....

  7. I was so sad when I found out how bad Knoll was ;-;

    I always look forward to using the dark mages, and any character that reminds me of me.

    That was Knoll ;-;

    Whoops, sorry, the enemies on the last level have 3 more resistance than on the first level, my bad.

    How do dark mages remind you of yourself?
