The title is pretty misleading, we don't know what it'll be called yetI expect an official reveal late this year with it being released early next year, basically what happened with the Switch (first shown October 2016, proper presentation in January 2017, released in March).As for games, I don't really have any expectations other than a new 3D Mario by the end of 2025, and obvious things like a new Mario Kart/Animal Crossing eventually. I could see the next Super Smash Bros. releasing late 2026/early 2027 if it started development last year.

Finally, Persona 5 is good now.
To whom it may concern, I ate an arepa the other day. It was good, they even had chicha too (I made sure it was made with rice beforehand).
And I didn't know how well Metroid Prime would capture the traditional Metroid experience, but I had to spend time bumbling around to figure out where to use the power ups I just got so I think it did a good job.

Fusion is pretty underrated as a horror game (and it shows what it's like to be on the receiving end of endgame Samus); I was quite happy when Dread followed in its footsteps.

Getting Metroid Prime Remastered the other day reminded me that the menu creeped me out when I was younger. Then again, I was five or six at the time so everything probably creeped me out back then.

Technically he was in the original Super Star as an opponent in Megaton Punch, but Ultra was Bandana Waddle Dee's first "real" appearance as a character. He was an instant hit with me and my friend group, and we were happy when he was included in Return to Dream Land.

How many games a series gets mostly depends on if it has a dedicated development team. Nintendo EPD has eleven such teams, though we don't know what No. 1 and No. 7 work on.

Ultra has a sizable amount of new content and the remaining content is mostly the same, other than minor things like having a Fire Emblem reference that the original localization missed. As such, Ultra is preferable unless you're specifically interested in the original SNES experience, or if you want to play both versions to compare them. Ultra is also arguably the start of Kirby's "modern era" which could be another reason to try it.

A few characters could shuffle around and Ryu could go up a tier, but mostly this reflects my opinions. I didn't want to include third party characters from the same company in the same tier unless I think they could go either way, like Snake/Simon and Cloud/Hero. I also put Dr. Mario and the echoes in their own category; basically I think the echoes will come back if their parent character returns, and Dr. Mario in particular is up to the developers' whims.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire
SpoilerI was quite impressed by how much screentime Kong and
Diddy KongSuko got without any humans. An issue I had with GvK was that Kong didn't really get any solo wins despite defeating Mechagodzilla, and this movie amends that by having him win several fights without any help.Godzilla also got a good showing and Skar King and Shimo were cool (pun unintended) villains, even if Shimo isn't actually evil.
If I had a nickel for every movie released this month that had "Empire" in its name and an icy antagonist, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.There's also

SpoilerThe Fog King was apparently just a random Guldo that wandered into Shulk's dimension, which is something I thought was the case ofter XC3 released (prior to that, I assumed it was just a reused asset). In an instance of non-XC3 related information, they also debunked the theory that the Infernal Guldo is Galea.
Most of this enhances my opinion that the writers didn't think some things through all that much. How does Origin work? I dunno, it just works. Why is Malos in N's sword? I dunno, he just is. (Same for Pyra and Mythra.) Why is Fiora a sword? It's the best way for her to help the world, apparently. There are rumors that you can faintly hear "You can't have a rainbow without Reyn, baby" when you stand next to a shard of Origin metal. Nopon are probably eldritch beings at this point, so them being immortal in Aionois is on track. I respect Takahashi for not bringing up The Picture since half of the poll responses were probably about it.
Kojima: Is it alright for Noah to throw Fiora into the ocean at the end of the game?

I assumed I had to finish Unicorn Overlord's demo before the time limit ran out or else I would be kicked out, but it lets you finish the battle you're on before doing so. Which is good, because the final battle introduced a new victory condition when I had 39 seconds left...
SpoilerWhen I saw Galerius's stats and abilities, I didn't think you were actually supposed to beat him. It was obvious in hindsight that you wouldn't defeat him for good so early, but it would be pretty funny if you killed the "main villain" 10% into the game. As for a plot prediction, I'm guessing Valmore found
the One Ringan evil version of the Unicorn Ring in the past and got possessed by someone from the Zenoiran empire, hence why he started calling himself Galerius.Rather than involving myself in any critical thinking as to who to pair Alain with, I'll just pair him with canon girl Scarlett to establish the theocracy of Cornia. I was pretty surprised when she turned out to be the pontifex's daughter rather than a random priestess, but this is an honorary Fire Emblem game so perhaps I should've expected Scarlett to have an important lineage.

I would say it would be a Black Lantern since those represent the absence of life and emotion, but Black Lanterns are undead and Mechagodzilla (technically) isn't. Otherwise, it would probably be another Sinestro Corps member since it's derived from Ghidorah. Skar King can be an Orange Lantern depending on how his character turns out.

Reminds me that Dragon Quest XI has some optional difficulty settings to make the game harder. "You get a game over if the hero dies" is one of them, others include that you can't shop, you can't wear armor, townspeople sometimes lie to you, characters will occasionally remember something embarrassing and be unable to act in battle, etc.

Sorry LightchaoWhile I agree that Rebuild technically isn't as good as the original series--the shorter runtime meant they didn't have as much time to flesh things out--I think it was decent on its own.

"Gojira" and "Godzilla" are more similar that most name changes, but I wouldn't call them the same thing (the latter is occasionally transliterated into Japanese as "Gazzira"). As a fun fact, the original three options for Godzilla's English name were Gojira, Godila, and Gozila.

I am pleased to be getting a new Legends game, though the biggest surprise is that it's releasing next year. Could Game Freak be taking their time for once? I wasn't expecting them to, but maybe they'll save Gen X for the 30th anniversary in 2026.
