  1. This fire emblem game introduced me to the series and it made me interested in playing awakening. I loved them both so much I played the previous games and now fire emblem is one of my favorite game titles. I love fates and I still replay it all the time. I never get sick of it. I loved the dubbing, the writing, the evolution of the game as i see it from the first game till current. Like when I met Odin I fucking love everything about him. I laugh so hard at everything he says and all his supports. I think it's a great game and there's always someone who wants to bitch everything.

Not according to Garon in Birthright.

That's true. They were practically a bomb in the middle of a very crowded city. I don't think only queen mikoto was supposed to die. I'm sure corrin was as well and other members as well of the royal family if it were possible.

Something that I've noticed about Fates in general is that I have to restart a lot of the maps more times than I have EVER had to do on any other FE game. Maybe I'm not as good of a player as I thought I was but, all I know is I do not need to restart maps nearly as much in games like Radiant Dawn (reputedly the hardest Fire Emblem game) Blazing Sword or Sacred Stones. Which when this is the case it feels like the game's difficulty wasn't tested or something, where while the games I've mentioned are a challenge they are also fun and enjoyable. I'm not really sure what the problem is but I keep trying to figure out why I have to restart so much and it seems to boil down to that unless I'm mistaken you need to almost do a scripted move set and there's no room for error. I can make mistakes with the Dawn Brigade and still proceed without losing a unit, but the moment I make a mistake in Fates it's game over. Where it's like this works, this doesn't, don't do this, do this etc. Granted this is more something that happens at earlier levels vs. later levels but still. Why does Fates feel like it's harder than Radiant Dawn which has the reputation of being the hardest game in the series?

Fates is my first fire emblem game. I'm fairly new to the fire emblem scene. Sometimes I'll find myself restarting cause I'll be confident in a move that back fired lol. I'll send Niles into a fight with 10 health and I'm like well it's the last round. I hope he won't miss. Well he missed and died. Gah! Lol

I actually really like bow knight, it may not have the best skills in the game but I enjoy it a lot. It's an archer on horseback, who can switch to a sword when necessary they have great movement etc. I enjoy using them, I didn't like their design in awakening but the Fate's design has improved tremendously. Stat wise snipers may have better str or def I have not been able to compare the various bow promotions, however I tend to value the higher movement over a few points more of str or def. Besides I have not seen Niles or Shura lacking in str when I chose bow knight.

I actually liked it a lot too. Great mobility, I like being able to use yato still, and range it nice. Sure it doesn't have amazing skills but that always be fixed with finding better ones for it.-

    Did you play Revelations?

The point of the kidnapping wasn't to try to make Corrin into some weapon.

Yes I did. I didn't say it was at all. I said it could've been an advantage that was wasted by king garon. They just kept corrin locked up and then sent corrin to hoshido to practically be done away with. I have played the game thanks for asking. I stated that previously.

    • Revelations
    • Ines / Paius
    • Region is NA
    • Daikon and Wheat
    • Topaz and Coral
    • My characters are around level 20-32. Intermediate might be a good way to explain it.
    • Skillz~ My Unit: replicate, rend heaven, quixotic, lifetaker. Azura: Warp, Amaterasu, Renewal, Witch's brew. Still working on skill so I'll have better ones soon.~
    • Accessories: It doesn't really matter. I have a lot of mage circlets, flowers, and princess bows. Anything else is fine. :)

I feel the same way, sometimes Corrin's decisions and lines cause me to love this character and other times I'm facepalming myself at his stupidity. Also I feel being a royal he would have been trained in war, politics and been in training to lead battalions of soldiers. In short he would have been being prepared to be a captain of the Nohrian army so the whole solitude thing never made sense to me.

Yeah idk what the point of stealing the enemy child is if you aren't going to atleast brain wash them and make them into a weapon to fight against them. Corrin was locked away for no real reason and they barely tried to corrupt them or brain wash them.

I don't know if you've played Birthright or Revelations yet but even on those you can only really grind on the Boo Camp and the reason for this is because the amount of experience you'll get from other maps is minimal. I think if grinding was going to be in the game and I'm pretty sure they were planning on this from the start, what they should have done is added some GBA style arenas to some of the maps and added a 50 floored tower to the world map that at least is accessible on Birthright and Revelations (like the tower in Sacred Stones) as I really don't like grinding on maps where I have to chase down the enemy I prefer fighting armies that are trying to kill me.

Yeah I played all three routes. I'd say revelations is like conquest without scouting. Not story wise but you get the nohrian characters and you can grind with scouting. Sadly I'm someone who likes to 100% everything so I'm currently leveling and Skilling up every unit on my revelations route currently. Lol

  8. I mean right off the bat everyone knew king garon was crazy af. I wish there was a build up. I mean it was just like the whole time you're doing King garons dumb tasks, you return only for him amd iago to still want you dead, and your siblings talk him out of it to give you another chance. That's all it felt like.

It did make me a bit sad cause I love to level every single character to Max and 100% everything. Conquest doesn't let you but I completely understand why. I don't think they should change it or anything. Conquest was a nice challenge. Well at least for someone who's not super hard core usually anyway it was tough.

  9. Corrin is mixed for me. I've played all the routes and sometimes corrins just wonderful but other times I'm kind of just wondering why corrin is so obviously clueless. I know they've been trapped in solitude for a long time and they're supposed to be naieve in a sense. It's just annoying at some points In the game when obviously corrin is walking blindly into something bad. I respect corrin though for sticking by what they believe in and never swaying, even if it means losing your family. A quest for peace is pretty cool.

  10. When I finish a castle battle I noticed it a few times that some skills were grayed out. I did look it up and people were saying you can't buy dlc skills, but

they weren't dlc skills. I tried to get Luna, renewal, and bold stance (though I'm not sure that one is dlc or not.). Does anyone know why?
