  1. I'd definitely like to see a remake of FE2 the most! It's sad that because it's such an old and outdated game, very few people have played it. I actually think it's pretty awesome. I would also say a remake of FE4 with FE5 could be very amazing if done right, but they seem to be pretty fine as they are now, so I feel FE2 would benefit the most from having a remake.

  2. Which is why it gets into the territory of whether we're paying to unlock characters already in the game, or actually downloading them. Where is game-essential data going to be stored that isn't a part of the game it-self? On that SD memory thing the 3DS uses (or is it flash? it's horrible small in either case). Downloading a custom model, texture, voice, 2D elements, and stats may not end up as that large a data-chunk, but the game would be streaming it from somewhere that's not directly on-cart. Pair this with there being, apparently, according to one member, more than 120+ downloadable characters... that's very inadequate in terms of storage-capacity and utilization.

Whereas if the data is already in-game, and you're just paying to unlock it, there's no problem with how the game will efficiently get an entire team of characters whose data is not on the game itself, streaming coherently, smoothly, and practically.

I have an idea on where the DLC is supposed to be saved if it's not supposed to be in-game.

I remember that in the system settings of the 3DS there's a place where you can view any add-on content that's been installed on the system, which I think is where the DLC is meant to be saved. I'm not entirely sure if this is what's it meant to be, but having the DLC stored on the system memory sounds the most practical.

  3. Sorry for the late response, but thanks to everyone who's contributed! After some research, I've went out and ordered a few of your suggestions, including Halo, Dead or Alive, and Ninja Gaiden, and hope to get them soon.

    Beyond Good and Evil

I already own Beyond Good and Evil for GameCube, but yes, I liked this game too.

  4. Hi, I'm looking for some help on something.

Yeah, so...long story short, I got an Xbox from my friend whose mom won in a raffle or something, and I want to keep it. This is an original Xbox, not the 360 one. It already came with this one racing game, a memory card, and a controller, but I don't like the game. I was wondering if anyone could give me any recommendations as to what's good to play, because I really don't know anything about Xbox, haha.

    Any advice is appreciated!

  5. About the Xane being Masked Marth theory... I don't remember since it's been a while since I last played FE3, but isn't Xane unable to use Marth's Falchion despite his powers? I know how he shapeshifts and copies weapons and all, but I thought the Falchion was the only exception? It would actually kind of make sense for Masked Marth to be Xane, but there's the problem...Xane can't use Falchion.

But either way I also agree that Xane will probably be in this game too somehow. Maybe he's already hiding under our noses!

  6. Oh woops, I wasn't aware of the attributes that Halberdier and Sentinel had, since I never played FE9 or FE10. However, I think it's interesting that they only exist in those games as far as I know... I would expect FE to have introduced them earlier and given them more prominence in the series.

What about "Super Recruit" Amelia? Does she count?

You know, I forgot about Amelia as a Super Recruit. Going by what I was saying, she does fit the bill I guess, although what I had in mind was a class that wasn't so exclusive.

  7. Okay, so I was thinking about something. We have Swordmasters, who are sword users with this innate critical bonus because of their class. I was wondering why there aren't to my knowledge any lance/axe equivalent classes, like a "Lancemaster" or an "Axemaster". Giving it more thought, however, I figured that the Berserker class is pretty much the axe's answer to Swordmasters (just not in name), but that would just leave lances...

Is it just me, or does FE have no lance-only, on-foot classes that have this critical bonus that would parallel with Swordmasters and Berserkers? If they don't exist, what could be the reason behind that? Is a "Lancemaster" class even a good idea? Thoughts?

  8. Errors Needing Confirmation

-In Lyn Mode, "abilities" is spelled "abilties" twice in reference to Erk and Serra. [NOTE: I found this on a GameFAQs topic, but can't confirm its credibility. Someone want to jump in?] (Script Error)

I decided to check this for myself, and I took some screens to show what I found.

Since it wasn't specified whether this was found in either the American or European version, I went the extra mile to play Lyn Mode on both games.

So...this myth's been busted! It's not true at all!

  9. I was recently looking at Krom's artwork and found that the marking on his shoulder reminds me a lot of those things on Tiki and Nagi's heads.

    Comparison:

    TIKI.PNGNAGA.PNG

I know that it's not entirely precise, but the form is similar enough to be adequately compared, yeah? I didn't see anyone mention this before, so I figured I'd bring it up. If this is what it looks like, I think this should count as evidence that Krom's marking is definitely a "symbol of the dragon" spoken of in the logo text.

  10. So recently I started reading The Hobbit, and I'm liking it so far! One of my friends is a big fan of the LotR series but I never bothered with anything about it because it didn't seem all that interesting, but at this rate I could see myself reading the rest of the books.

Is anyone here a fan of LotR? What do you guys think of the books, movies, and whatever else that is out there?

  11. Hey, and welcome to the Forest! I used to have some kind of experience with game making, but I suck, haha.

Enjoy your stay here, and have fun!

    HEY THERE HAZUKI

    I mean hi Yoshi :3

    That's not me, silly!

  12. I'm playing through FE8 for the first time and the Lagdou Ruins showed up in the story. I wanted to clear it during Chapter 20 like I did with the Tower of Valni, but it's taken me so many attempts to even get passed the first map. I mean, I could always just level grind more until it's not a problem anymore, but that's too tedious for my tastes and I was hoping if someone could give me pointers on tackling it.

Also, does the difficulty mode affect the Ruins at all like everything else? That is to say, since this is Eirika Easy, would it actually be harder on Ephraim Normal or something?
