  1. That's what I was thinking.

Not really, for one there seem to be people on here with Skype but not MSN. And they said it's good even without that.

I wouldn't want to listen in either, but otherwise that's what I was thinking.

That's fair enough, but why don't you want to call people with it, if you don't mind me asking?

    EDIT: Hah, fair enough.

  2. NOTE: If I do, I will NOT accept or use voice or video chat.

Doesn't that defeat the whole purpose?

EDIT: I know, I have Skype, but I got it so that I can voice and video call people. There are plenty of other messenger programs out there. Not using the voice/video capabilities seems like a waste.

  3. Dalshin's the only unit who can use Lances at all indoors.

Just because Xavier's a bitch to recruit doesn't mean he doesn't exist, you know. He also has E lances, but still.

EDIT: Rating. He's ok in Manster and practically useless once you leave. 3.5/10, plenty of other units can outclass him easily and aren't armours.

  4. People give Haar the speedwings because he's around for longer, he flies and he beats Kieran in STR/SKL/DEF (higher bases, growths and caps (he also eventually surpasses Kieran in luck, but it's by one point)). His only real losses to Kieran are HP (Haar's not exactly struggling here) and RES, which is arguably his only weakness (Nullify helps him not get hammered by thunder sages, which as people have said before he can avoid).

  5. On his own, he'll cap build very quickly and will hit his luck and defence caps not too long after promotion. However, getting him there requires a lot of resources and effort. 0 skill and speed with 10 and 15% growths respectively is plain awful. He'll get doubled a lot and really struggle to hit. He's not impossible to raise and his promotions does give 6 skill and speed (and 3 strength. 9 base is cool and all, 15% growth is not), but you still have to get him there. If you give him some skill and speed rings (and the Odo and Sety scrolls, but we aren't counting them), he can grow out of his hole and become a fairly useful combatant, but as it stands, his main use is capturing low avoid units (loldiers, armours) and unarmed units, which (the latter) anything that can wield a weapon (apart from Lara and bow-wielders) can do. 2.5/10, salvageable, but takes a lot to do so.

  6. Banzai, scroll spamming means nothing because you can stick them on any character (except Galzus) and make them great (or at least competent). If we did count scroll abuse, every character would get massively increased ratings. The three traits you mentioned aren't everything, but if you have crappy bases and a bad class (or bad growths and availability, etc.) that generally constitutes a bad unit. I know that if I scroll abuse Marty I can get a complete monster, but the fact that he's going to struggle without them makes him a poor unit. Whereas Dagda may have awful growths, but his bases carry him for so damn long that he is one of the better units (arguably) in the game.

  7. I dunno about Renault, but what you do to Karla (IMO) should be dictated (in some part) by what you do to Karel. Either my memory has failed me, or somewhere in their supports it's shown that Karel is the superior combatant of the two. Then again, who cares, it's Karla.

    EDIT: @Integrity - I KNOW RIGHT?!?!?!

  8. Zihark requires a lot of effort to catch Stefan. Stefan is wreckin' shit from the get go, but loses steam as the game progresses. 23 STR cap is pretty bad. That and I'm fairly certain Lethe is killing the Toha idiots and Zihark's too fragile to take on more than one Raven at once (lol Zihark killing Mackoya).

  9. Othin kills practically anything not on a throne (and even then, he only requires a critical which isn't hard with wrath and 3 PCC). Indoors, he's a complete beast, outdoors, your mounts will leave him behind. Of course, he's still killing most of what he touches. 8.5/10 with a negative bias for having a bloody mullet, so 7.5/10.

Are you allergic to reading the rules or something? We are rating for one bloody difficulty and one bloody game, for that matter (dunno if you noticed, but does this look like the SNES board to you?). It's not hard. Just give one rating.

Anyway, 9.5/10, she dances (I suspect I am too late, oh well).
