  1. Alright, so looking over all my previous problems I've had whilst ROM Hacking my current project.

    It all related to the lord character being in slot 0x03, 

    so I need to figure out a way to do one of the following:

    A) have the lord character in Lyn Mode be in slot 0x01

    B) find a way for new game to be in Eliwood mode be default (whilst still starting from Prologue)

    Any ideas?

    Ok so it still doesnt work with the lord, but I also flagged the cavalier who now takes up the 0x03 slot as a lord character, and he can't seize either.

    No idea whats up.

  3. For Chapter 3 in a ROMHack I'm working on, I'm trying to put in a seize throne victory condition. I've put in the seize map event, exactly as the tutorial says, and it does call the chapter end event, but for some reason, whenever I put the lord character on it, the seize command simply doesn't show up. I have no idea why this is, and I've tried restarting the chapter but to no avail. I've also tried o seize it using a cavalier that now takes up the character slot that used to be Lyn's, but also to no avail. The main lord is set as the unit who can seize in all three routes, just to be on the safe side. I have no idea why this isn't working.

    Seems I don’t have those files for some reason, and for “old Map Sprite, well, I’m not sure why I called it old. Just any Halberdier Map Sprite, I cant find any.

  5. So, started working on an FE7 hack using FEBuilderGBA, getting to grips with the program, and how it works.

     

    Although I wanted to add in a new class, being the Halberdier, into the game, (as a promotion for soldier) and I don’t know how to import the bastle animations for it, I have them, but they aren’t showing up. Any help?

    Also: I can’t find the old Map Sprite for the Halberdier, anytime I find it, the site says the file doesn’t exist anymore, any help with that?

     

    Otherwise, that’s all. 

  6. Alright, so, I’ve been planning to make an FE8 ROMhack for some time now, I have plans for all the playable units, ideas for the majority of the chapters, Bosses, some of the dialogue, etc.

    But now I want to actually start working on it. So I have one question, where to start? I’ve heard of this program called FeBuilderGBA, and I was wondering if that was of any use to me. Or if FeRecolour would still be necessary as well as Event Creator. 

    What programs would you recommend I’d use to get this hack up and running?

     

    -also, how you feel about a villain being a playable class, e.g. summoner?-
