  1. The major differences between the two would be movesets, different attacks hitting sp. def, and abilities. The originals also play faster, so a time penalty would probably be appropriate.
  2. I might be in, depending on which versions are allowed. My computer can barely handle DS emulators... For the win condition, total/average level could work.
  3. Astria and Chainey. So, when I get my next pick, there will be 2 units left. What happens to them?
  4. It would be un-ax-eptable not to choose Barts next Don't think I can hold off on a mage anymore, but there isn't exactly a wide variety to choose from... Maria. Edit: When I was looking up the character list, I noticed Nina is missing. Though, considering her joining time, she should probably be free.
  5. 1. It would be ironic, but no. I've always used Tyrfing and I get the ring afterwards. 2. I've never done it, but it'd probably end up like a weaker version of Ambush/Wrath. You'd also have to rush to get Fin and Tiltyu together in time. Sounds interesting, though.
  6. I really need some cavs. Luke and Hardin.
  7. Katua. Oh, it seems I can pick two units. Kashim also (Manual does add 5 to weapon level, right?)<br>
  8. I need an excuse to play FE3 again... Count me in!
  9. The most important thing is gameplay; there has to be some strategy or mechanic that differentiates it from the SRPG equivalent of a button-masher. If I don't occasionally spend a few minutes pondering my next move, it's not doing its job. Story and characters are nearly as important. If I don't want to find out what happens next, or care if the hero reaches his objective, then I'll abandon the game once the inevitable frustrating stage comes up. The game should, above all, move fast when you're not in control, especially if it's difficult. If I'm going to get thrashed repeatably, I'd rather get it over with quickly.
  10. I sometimes play hard mode unless it's ridiculous. But usually, I play normal/easy, with self-imposed constraints to put it in the golden area (neither boring nor frustrating).
  11. This looks like fun! I'll join?
  12. Thanks, I'll make sure I do! I'm sure I will, Strwmn.
  13. True, I wear bright colours every day to ward off predators!
  14. Well, I am rather wily. Thanks! Us newbies gotta stick together, right?
  15. I call them by numbers, cause I can never remember the name. But the favourite game list uses names. Too bad, I was going to put "Favourite?" in there. Yes, and I have two! Aideen = Jamka / Midir Arya = Holyn / Lex Lachesis = Arden / Dew Sylvia = Claude / Claude Fury = Levin / Alec Brigidd = Dew / Holyn Tiltyu = Lex / Levin You're right. Damn you, hindsight! Wil is my favourite archer. He has brown hair, and is broke. He's just like me!
  16. Greetings from the world of tomorrow! I'm a long-time player, first-time forum poster. I've decided to take a break from finally playing FE10 to instead discuss and debate the series as a whole on the web. I hope to stick around for a long time and become a valued member of the community. Or else forget that I signed up here in a few hours and become another one-post wonder. Either one's good. I'll see you around!
