Alot of people on gamespot says that's the way to go if he doesn't marry Cordelia. I might switch Stahl to Panne and Gregor to Cordelia consider that.
P.S. I know for a fact Severa's pretty op with Gregor as her Dad, so that'd definitely be a pretty good switch up

I'm planning on marrying Cordelia to Stahl, but I could always change someone else's pairing whether I ultimately pick Kellam or Gregor for Panne.
Also, I was thinking Olivia could marry virion, but perhaps Kellam or Gregor would be better for her?

Heyo! I'm on a quest to get some of the strongest kids you can get in this game, and through many threads and help from the advice people have given me on some of my other posts, I think I've got some great pairings; but alas, I have one last problem: Panne. I have every single character a partner, but her. The only men not taken are Kellam and Gregor, and I don't know who's a better Dad for Yarne. Thanks in advance!

He'd have really good luck (though that matters little). But yeah; no boost to his speed.

The problem with having Owain remain a myrmidon/swordmaster is that his growth rates and max stat modifiers really can't accommodate it. Having Lissa as his mother means he leans more towards magic, and away from strength and speed; both of which are needed for a myrmidon/swordmaster.
Ricken, Henry, and Libra will boost his magic, but with a default max magic cap of 34 as a swordmaster and a max magic mod of +5 at best, it'll barely bring his magic up to par and this'll pretty much lock him into using a Levin Sword. They also do little for his speed; meaning he'll only have +1 max speed. Someone more speed-inclined like Lon'qu will give him decent speed (+4), but his strength cap is -1 and magic cap is +3.
You can't really get his strength up; any dad that boosts his max strength mod to a total of 0 or higher ruins his speed; the other thing needed for a swordmaster. If you really, really want Owain to remain a swordsman, your best bet is probably Lon'qu, though I personally would want to save him for someone else; someone who has a faster and more physical-inclined mom.

As for Owain well like others habe said he tends to lean on the magical side more than anything else so a magic dad that compliments his base skillset works well which would be either Henry, Ricken, Or Libra. Ricken because mods and luna. Henry and Libra provide dark mage access and Henry in particular also provides access to wrath for the always fun Vantage/vengeance/wrath combo so yeah.
Alrighty! Thanks. Just quick question: (in a attempt to see if Myrmidon Owain can be a good unit😂) Do any of you know how the all-powerful Donnel fairs as his Dad? I have a feeling he would ruin his speed, but maybe I'm wrong?

Heyo! I was wondering who is best for these lovely gals to marry for their kids to have really good stats and/or good abilities.
IMPORTANT: Most threads I've read say to marry them to either Henry or Ricken respectively for their magic and such. I'll more than likely change Brady to some other magical class, but if Owain stays a myrmidon should he have a different father besides a magic based one? I don't really want to change his class. Thanks!

As far as maximizing the benefit of the child characters... yeah; I can't really help with that. It's been a number of years since I played Awakening.
I guess it would help to know which characters you plan on benching and which ones you plan to keep using; especially since you're playing on Lunatic.
I'm not quite sure yet. I know once I get further in I'll probably ditch Gauis, Virian, Miriel and just possibly Kellam (but I have a feeling I'll end up needing to keep him, at least till I get the kids), but as far as everybody else, I haven't decided yet. If exp or weapons get scarce, I have the dlc

For good supports, here are ones I recommend:
- Stahl and Panne: This one is also good in terms of support bonuses, but I like this one because it is absolutely hilarious.
- Lon'qu and Cherche: Cherche knows the reason he's scared of women and she helps him through it.
If not Lon'qu, then Vaike's also good because he gets along with her wyvern Minerva.
EDIT: I did not see the part where you said you're not going for support conversations, but good kid units. Ignore everything I said here.

But as for who is best with who other than the pairs you've already gone with... I don't really know much about that, but I do know that you can't really go wrong with giving Stahl any wife, as he's the best, or at least one of the best fathers in the game due to what he can pass down. I personally give him Cordelia, but that's because I really liked their support. I didn't really optimize.
Oh, and apparently Sully wants Donnel or Gaius because then Kjelle can get the Pegasus knight line which she can't get otherwise, and that class line includes the ever powerful Galeforce skill.
Sounds like a good idea! You're also correct about me being a Frederick fangirl, lol😂 I don't care if he not the best father in the game, I just like him as a character.

Sumia is okay as Lucina's mother so you'll get a passable Lucina at least but Frederick is not Morgan's best father. Morgan's best father is a second generation father, bar Yarne because beast killer weapon weakness and a not so good class.
Because I honestly don't know who would have the stronger kid over all, though I've looked into it and read other responses on here to find out. I feel like I have a good idea, but wanted others opinions.
I'm also aware that Frederick's obviously not going to make Morgan a killing machine, but he's non-negotiable for the fact as stated up above, I'm a Frederick fangirl.
As for Chrom and Sumia, I've read plenty of posts that say Olivia's best, but that just about anyone (besides that mystery lady he marries if he has no supports with a unmarried girl unit) makes a good Lucina, Sumia definitely not being a exception.

Hi! I've been playing Fire emblem for years now and I've finally gotten up the guts to play lunatic in Awakening, and I was wondering who's the best marriage partner for each girl? I'm not going by support convos, I want to make all of the kids as strong as possible. BTW, my MU is a girl, but I'm pairing her with Frederick, and I'm pairing Chrom with Sumia. Both of those pairing are non-negotiable, but as far as everyone else; fire away!
