Why is Manster so easy? I remember it being very difficult blind, but once I realised I needed to dump my stat boosters to leif it was pretty easy.

I ended up using all of my stat boosters on Leif on my first playthrough, and I mostly lured out the enemy units to prevent anyone from dying.

Gen 1 units are technically worse stat-wise and skill-wise, but they're in a harder era. I'm not sure what you mean by that.

The units in FE4's last three chapters are a major nuisance. I'll be the first to say that chapters 6, 7, and 8 are pushovers with the right pairings, but the Lopto mages in 10 and Endgame made me change how I played completely. Your units in FE4 will always be better than the enemy, and this is proven by how the game can be played without being at major risk of losing a character. In Gen 1, you can leave one or two of your units in front of a group of 3-8 guys, and they all just drop dead in a single enemy phase, the exception being Chapter 3's Cross Knights and the part with Tailtu, Claud, and Bridget. In Gen 2, you can do the same until the enemy decides to take things seriously and not just gather around Ced, who's standing on a forest tile with Forseti. The Hel tome is inaccurate, but it drops your 80 health to a one. At that point onwards, rushing the enemy is no longer a viable strategy, and the rest pf the game is like fighting Cross Knights.

Vika helps with the swamp map because she's the only flier. Fiona is just... bleh. Meg is probably worse, though.

Forgot about Meg XD. Brom would be ashamed after seeing her base stats.

  2. - The GBA Fire Emblems are the worst in the series, but SS is the best of those three.

    - The Manster arc in Thracia is one of the easiest parts of the game, even on a blind playthrough.

    - Most Gen 1 Genealogy units are better than their Gen 2 counterparts.

    - Fiona is not the worst unit in Radiant Dawn, Vika is.

    - Nolan and Leonardo are good units.

    - Three Houses gameplay is among the worst in the franchise.

So no info exists, even in fan and production book?

By "no info" I was referring to both games' files, in which only Thracia had a text reference whereas Genealogy had nothing.

Also, there was a third campaign for FE4?

Yeah. Apparently you were going to play as Azel between the events of chapters 5 and 6. This theory here covers in greater detail:

  4. There are only text references to manaketes/dragons in Thracia, which are hidden in the game's code. No portraits exist for them in either game, much in the way that the cancelled third campaign in Genealogy has no in-game references.

  5. You don't need to play both games on the same system because PoR save data will be on your memory card. However, I don't think a Wii U can use a memory card, so you'll have to play RD on a Wii. There is one more thing that could be considered mild spoilers for both games, but I'll cover them anyway. It's not technical, but will affect your gameplay for a decent portion of Radiant Dawn.

    Spoiler

About halfway through Path of Radiance, you will be given the option to recruit a thief by the name of Sothe. His stats aren't too great, and he doesn't get a promotion in FE9. Recruiting Sothe will mean that his stats will be directly imported into Radiant Dawn, unlike your other units, who have set stats (besides the +5 bonus you get for Lv20 promoted with a capped stat.) If you refuse to recruit him, he will still be playable in Radiant Dawn, where he acts your Jagen/Oifey for the first section of the game. Essentially, unless you want to have a bad Jagen in FE10, don't recruit Sothe.

  6. When I first played Genealogy, my Julia was barely used, only being around level 8 or so by Endgame. After she got the Naga tome in Velthomer, Julia probably became my best unit. She killed everyone in the arena, even that Emperor that my Lv30 Seliph lost to. Julius won't be a problem. Simply attack him with Julia, and that's it.

tl;dr Naga is the best weapon in FE.
